REINCARNATION OF THE STRONGEST WAR HERO

Chapter 213: THE MASKED MONSTER

His body tore straight through the wyvern's scales, slipping inside with a deafening crack.

For a breath, silence spread all around.

And then—

BOOOOM!

A loud bang shook the whole area.

Fire burst out from within, blasting the beast apart. Flesh, blood, and blackened scales scattered in all directions, raining down like burning ash. The wyvern's scream was cut off halfway as its body twisted and collapsed, smoke curling from its ruined chest.

The shockwave rolled across the ground, splitting stone and shaking the air.

All hunters froze in place, eyes wide, mouths open. Even the monsters halted, their charge breaking, stunned by the sight of their boss being blown apart in a single strike.

Emily's lips parted but no words came out.

Lilith's eyes were widened to the maximum limit. "What the fuck! Is he really the same age as mine?"

All the hunters had the same question hammering in their heads. "How is this possible?!"

And then came Logan's body, landing on the ground like a leaf touching the soil.

All his clothes were burnt to ashes. Absolutely nothing was covering any of his parts, except the mask on his face.

But as he was facing toward the direction in which the human-faced monster had fled, his shy part was still out of sight. But still not his back though.

And then...

Without sparing even a glance at anyone...

He blurred....

In that same exact direction...

"Aiden wait....." Gideon's voice tore through the air but still failed to stop Logan. He knew Logan was no match for all of them at once. Maybe he was. But he didn't want to gamble.

"Guys. Move." Only those two words and then he shot toward the same direction. His party didn't need any more instruction. They all stormed as well. Even Lilith. After all, one of the captives were her own father.

Emily also followed behind them.

The remaining hunters were all frozen, not knowing what to do. Two S-class hunters were taken away. One of them was the guild master himself. Will they have any future without them?

But before they could come to any solution, the horde of monsters stirred again. Losing their boss, they were now leaderless. But they didn't need one to tell who their enemy was.

They lunged at the hunters in front. "First deal with the monsters here. Now that the boss is done for, it shouldn't be that difficult to defeat them. Everyone, charge." Leo's voice boomed through the area. And the hunters started their fight again, storming toward the monsters with their hands glowing with mana.

Meanwhile, the human-faced monster was running fast with all his accomplices while they were carrying both Noah and Ali.

They soon entered through the gate of a dungeon. The same one, today's monsters had broken through.

The creature was in a hurry. Soon they were crossing the layers one after another and advancing deeper.

Ali and Noah could only watch helplessly, as everything unfolded before their eyes. Their magic was sealed, their limbs were bound tightly, leaving them unable to do anything.

After almost twenty minutes, they finally reached the bottom. The deepest layer of the A-class dungeon.

Reaching the spot, he glanced back slightly and spoke in a low, commanding voice.

"Two of you, keep watch from inside. The other two, stay outside.... make sure no one comes close."

As he gave the order, his hand slipped into the pouch at his waist and pulled out a strange sphere. Holding it firmly, the creature began to whirl his hand in slow circles.

The minotaurs obeyed at once, moving without hesitation.

Meanwhile, the air itself twisted unnaturally. Space distorted, lines bending and tearing until a rift began to form.

Soon, a perfectly round gateway appeared... on the other side lay the shadowy depths of another dungeon.

The creature opened his mouth, ready to command the minotaurs to drag the captives inside, but just then...

Whoooosh!!!

One of the minotaurs that had gone outside was hurled back in like a rag doll. Its massive body smashed against the dungeon wall before crumpling to the ground.

Before anyone could even process what happened, the second one crashed through as well, its body tumbling helplessly across the stone floor.

And then...

Tap… tap.... tap....

The sound of footsteps echoed faintly through the dungeon hall.

A figure walked in. His upper body was bare, only a torn piece of cloth loosely wrapped around his waist, something he had picked up along the way to cover himself. His muscles, hardened like steel, gleamed faintly under the dim dungeon glow. Each step carried the calm weight of someone who feared nothing.

Logan!

Ali and Noah's eyes widened at once. "Damn that brat! Someone talk some sense into his head. He has totally gone mad." Ali cursed.

Noah also had the same feeling. "He could have easily stayed out of danger and helped others. Why did he recklessly follow us here?" He thought.

On the other hand, the human-faced creature froze mid-motion, its hand still hovering near the swirling rift. For the first time, a flicker of doubt crossed its grotesque expression.

The two minotaurs left standing also stiffened, their massive weapons trembling ever so slightly. Their bodies remembered what had happened to their comrades outside.

Logan's masked face tilted slightly, his gaze locking onto the creature. His voice was low, steady, but it cut through the heavy air like a blade.

"Put them down."

A heavy silence followed.

Noah was shocked. He could feel it. The aura Logan was emanating. "This pressure… this killing intent… is it really coming from a person that young?"

The creature's lips curled into a twisted smile, trying to mask its unease. "You dare follow me this far, little rat? Do you even understand what stands before you?"

But Logan didn't answer. His body blurred.

Before anyone could even blink, he was already in front of one of the minotaurs. His fist shot forward, wrapped faintly in crackling lightning.

BOOM!

The monster's chest caved in instantly, its massive body crashing backward like a broken wall.

Everyone's eyes snapped wide.

Logan hadn't even looked at it. His gaze never left the human-faced monster.
