Chapter 27: The Idiot Obito

"Sharingan!"
Renzo's Sharingan activated instantly.
In that moment, the movements of the two Sand ninja became incredibly slow in his eyes. With a slight shift of his feet, he effortlessly dodged their attacks.
At the same time, he grabbed their outstretched arms, "helping" them adjust the angles of their attacks slightly.
"Ahhh!!"
The next second, their fists landed squarely on each other's faces.
In an instant, their faces were ripped apart by their own Wind Fist, blood spraying everywhere. Their minds went blank from the impact.
"Swish! Swish!"
While they were still dazed, Renzo casually flicked a kunai at each of them.
The kunai, carrying immense force, pierced straight through their throats, killing them instantly.
"What?!"
Everything happened in just a few seconds. A Sand elite jōnin, who had been observing the fight, was utterly shocked when he saw this.
"Who the hell is this Uchiha brat?! How is he this powerful?!"
A ten-year-old kid had just wiped out four Sand chūnin in mere seconds.
"He cannot be allowed to live!"
With that thought, the jōnin, named Yuki, charged toward Renzo, who was twenty meters away, while yelling at another jōnin:
"Hōng! Hold off Namikaze Minato! I'm going to kill this Uchiha brat! We can't let him live!"
"Hah... You think you can afford to get distracted while fighting me?"
Minato smirked. In a blink, he used Flying Thunder God to appear behind Yuki, thrusting a Rasengan toward his back.
"Yuki! Watch out!"
Hōng, always keeping an eye on Minato, shouted in warning while forming rapid hand seals. A blade of wind chakra formed in his hand as he slashed toward Minato's left flank.
Minato didn't stop his attack. Instead, he flicked a Flying Thunder God kunai straight at Hōng's face.
"Shit!"
The sight of the kunai startled Hōng. Recognizing the infamous Flying Thunder God markings, he immediately pulled back and slashed at the kunai instead.
That slight delay was all Minato needed.
His Rasengan slammed into Yuki's back, shattering his ribs and tearing apart his heart.
"Guh...!!"
Yuki's body fell limply to the ground. Even in death, his face remained frozen in disbelief and frustration.
A distinguished elite jōnin, taken out so easily!
The Golden Flash was truly terrifying!
In reality, they had lost because they didn't understand the Flying Thunder God technique.
Minato had only recently perfected his Flying Thunder God combat style. Before him, the only person in Konoha who had truly mastered it was the Second Hokage.
Most shinobi from other villages had never even seen the technique in action, let alone knew how to counter it.
"Yuki is down! Damn it! Retreat!"
Hōng saw Yuki's corpse and realized they were doomed. Their chūnin were dropping like flies thanks to Renzo. Without hesitation, he ordered a full retreat.
At the same time, he turned and bolted toward the forest, running for his life.
They were completely outmatched. Staying meant certain death.
He needed to report back on both Minato and this terrifying Uchiha prodigy.
If they didn't deal with these two soon, they would be a disaster for Sunagakure in the future.
"Tch. What a shame."
Minato sighed but didn't chase after him. Instead, he used Body Flicker to rejoin the fight, swiftly eliminating the remaining chūnin who were still being held off by Kakashi and the others.
It wasn't that Minato didn't want to pursue him.
For one, he had burned through a lot of chakra using Flying Thunder God repeatedly. He wasn't confident he could land a guaranteed kill.
After all, his Flying Thunder God combat style was still in its infancy. Right now, it had too many weaknesses, especially its high chakra consumption.
But in two or three years? Even ten times as many elite jōnin wouldn't stand a chance against him if he had support throwing his kunai.
Besides, his main mission was to escort the supply convoy and protect both squads. If he recklessly chased after Hōng, there was no telling if more enemies were lurking nearby.
With Minato's help, the battle ended quickly!
Within just two minutes, not a single enemy escaped—all of them were wiped out!
Minato and Renzo had deliberately held back near the end, allowing Kurenai and the others to each fight a chūnin one-on-one to gain experience.
"Phew..."
The moment the fight was over, Obito, Kurenai, Asuma, and Rin collapsed onto the ground, panting heavily.
Clearly, the battle had been exhausting for them.
Meanwhile, Kakashi and Renzo still looked completely composed.
"This guy..."
Kakashi turned his gaze toward Renzo.
"He took on four times as many enemies as I did, finished them off faster, and barely looks tired? That's just ridiculous."
He felt immense pressure.
Back in the Academy, Renzo had been completely average, nowhere near the top of their class.
Yet within just a few months of graduating, he had surpassed even Kakashi himself.
"Who the hell is the real genius here?!"
Kakashi couldn't help but complain in his mind.
This felt like cheating!
His thoughts drifted to Renzo's Sharingan and something Obito kept bragging about—how once he awakened his own Sharingan, he would instantly surpass Kakashi.
"Wait… Could the Uchiha's Sharingan really be that overpowered?!"
For the first time, Kakashi felt the crushing weight of the Sharingan's superiority.
"Could Obito also…? Nah, Obito's an idiot. There's no way he'll awaken it."
...
"You all did great out there!" Minato smiled warmly at the group.
"Let's take a break and recover. Also, clean up the battlefield and gather any useful intel."
"Yes!" x6
Renzo and Kakashi then exchanged glances before getting to work.
They spent the next half hour cleaning up the bodies and collecting valuable intelligence to hand over to Minato.
They also sealed the two elite jōnin corpses in scrolls for the intel division to analyze.

While Renzo and Kakashi were busy, Obito, looking dazed, nudged Asuma with his elbow.
"Hey! When did Renzo get this strong?! Was he always like this during missions with you guys?"
"We struggle against one chūnin, but he just wiped out four effortlessly."
"Is the Sharingan really that broken?"
As a Uchiha himself, Obito was utterly confused.
Back in the clan, no one had ever told him the Sharingan could be this ridiculously powerful!
This felt like cheating!
Asuma: "..."
He stared at Obito like he was an idiot.
"You seriously think I, a non-Uchiha, would have the answer to that?"
