The spiritual zombie had survived the explosion of the fireball but combined with the purification mist, there was no chance of survival.

As a result, the other zombies that had been summoned by it turned into a leaderless crowd of rotten creatures without the ability to think.

Without the possibility of more zombies getting summoned, Lu Zhen launched hundreds of fire needles and as he practiced more, his aim got better.

Now, he just needed to use his perception of the pulsing of the energy in the crystal cores in the brains of the zombies.

Following this pulsing, the fire needles could be aimed at it and it was a sure win for him. Every zombie that was struck by the fire needles had their brain fried from inside out and collapsed immediately.

Thus, the people in the truck watched as zombies fell by the hundreds in one go.

Leng Pan had used too much energy, first to make the mimicry and then to create the launching tunnel, and she was still using the purification mist to protect the truck.

Lu Zhen wanted her to rest, but she still insisted on helping him. She formed snow flakes using her remaining purification mist and rained them on a large group of the remaining zombies.

With each zombie that had snow flakes fall on them, they turned into a bloody mist.

The remaining zombies weren't difficult for Lu Zhen to deal with alone.

Within a short time, there were only dead zombies lying on the ground or crystal cores fallen about after the zombies carrying them in their brains either turned into mist or ashes.

Looking around the place that was now quiet without a single zombie in sight, Leng Pan breathed a sigh of relief.

She had almost exhausted all her spiritual power and strength.

Now,she wouldn't even be able to fight someone on the first level of superpower.

Thinking of this, she felt vulnerable and she didn't like the feeling.

She walked over to the truck and took two bottles of prepared spiritual spring water.

She gave one to her husband and opened the other then downed it all down.

Once she was done, she leaned against the truck and closed her eyes as she felt the energy and power return to her body at lightning speed.

Lu Zhen was the same. He had used several techniques today and most of his superpower had been drained. After drinking the water, he also leaned on the truck next to his wife and waited for his strength to be restored.

It took them almost fifteen minutes for them to recover to the peak.

Then they went and got into the truck and drove it to the entrance of the cold storage.

After the fight with the zombies, the others had gotten out of the truck and went to the back again.

They had been so shocked by the strength displayed by the couple that they couldn't believe that there were such strong people in this world.

Even without using their superpowers, Leng Pan and Lu Zhen were already very strong. Once their superpowers were used, there was no comparison at all.

Watching the two of them kill thousands of zombies alone, the few of them understood that when those thugs and neighbors banded together, they wouldn't have been able to do anything to the Lu family members.

However, out of consideration for the dwindling population of humans, they had chosen to spare those people's lives.

Only now did they understand this fact. With the strength they had just displayed, there was no way they would be scared by a gun or any other weapon.

Getting out of the truck at the entrance of the cold storage, Leng Pan walked forward and pushed the door open.

The door was very heavy and even though its lock had been broken before, the door was still intact and could lock the cold inside.

Moreover, there was still electricity, therefore, the freezing effect of the cold room was still functional.

As soon as Leng Pan pushed the door open, she was greeted by the sight of a smaller amount of meat than they had left the last time.

However, there was still a lot for them to carry back home.

It looked like after they left, other people had found this place and took a lot of meat away. However, they were decent enough to close the door again and not let the rest of the meat go bad.

Or maybe they had planned to come back but were challenged by the big number of zombies that had gathered outside due to the arrival of the spiritual zombie.

No matter the reason, at least there was meat for them.

Leng Pan called out to the others to come in and take as much meat as they wanted. Seeing them about to stuff the meat into their backpacks, she stopped them.

Taking out garbage bags from her backpack, she handed two to each of them then gave some to Lu Zhen as well.

"Use these." She said before turning around to open her first garbage bag and started taking down meat that was hung on hooks.

"Thanks." The others thanked her and also followed her example.

Just like the last time, she took out a clean machete and started to chop up the meat into sizes that could fit the garbage bags.

The others, other than Lu Zhen, didn't have such machetes, but they had carried knives knowing that they were going to look for meat.

Thus, they used the knives to chop the parts of meat they wanted and also the type of bones they needed to make nutritious soup.

The few team members were nearly salivating at the sight of so much meat. Since the apocalypse began and they used all their stocked food, they hadn't had soup let alone meat until that morning at the Lu family house.

Now that they saw all this meat and thought of all the dishes they could enjoy, they were overjoyed and almost wanted to kowtow to Leng Pan and Lu Zhen to thank them.
