Chapter 14: CHAPTER 14:THE GRAND FINALE
Chapter 14: The Grand Finale
The stadium roared with excitement as the announcer declared the final match: Ren Ayashi, wielder of the Body Ring, versus Pedro Costa, wielder of the Speed Ring. The entire world was watching—governments, media, and millions of spectators. It was the battle that would determine the strongest among the young Ringborns.
Pedro stretched his arms, cracking his knuckles. "I'm angry, big guy. You better be ready."
Ren smirked, flexing his massive muscles. "Let's see if speed can beat strength."
The crowd erupted as the match officially began.
Pedro vanished in an instant, using his incredible speed to land the first blow—a rapid punch straight to Ren's gut. The impact sent shockwaves across the battlefield, but Ren didn't even flinch. Instead, he stood firm, unmoved by Pedro's attack.
Pedro's eyes widened. "What the hell?!"
Ren took the opportunity and launched a powerful punch at Pedro's chest, sending him flying backward toward the boundary line. Pedro twisted his body mid-air and barely managed to stop himself from getting eliminated by planting his hands on the ground.
Ryo, watching from the sidelines, clenched his fists. "This is insane… Who's gonna win this?"
Akira nodded. "Pedro's speed is unmatched, but Ren is like an immovable wall."
Ren wasted no time and turned himself into a massive cannonball, rolling toward Pedro at high speed. Pedro barely reacted in time, leaping over him with ease. The moment Pedro landed, he delivered a brutal spinning kick to Ren's jaw. Blood spurted from Ren's mouth as he staggered back, clutching his chin.
"Tch… Damn, that actually hurt," Ren muttered, wiping the blood away.
The crowd held their breath as Pedro rushed forward, delivering a flurry of punches—jab, cross, uppercut, knee strike. Each hit was so fast that Ren struggled to react. The audience could barely keep up with Pedro's movements, but Ren wasn't done yet.
With a deep breath, Ren tightened his stance and unleashed a devastating counterattack.
His fist crashed into Pedro's ribs, launching him several meters away. Pedro groaned in pain, clutching his side. "Damn it… That really hurts…"
The energy in the stadium intensified. The whole world watched, eager to see who would stand victorious. Even the mysterious cigarette-smoking man watching from the shadows narrowed his eyes.
Pedro took a deep breath, preparing for another assault. But before he could attack—
Ren's body shifted.
His arms multiplied, extending into eight powerful limbs.
The audience gasped in shock. Ren had awakened a hidden transformation—Spider Form!
Ryo's jaw dropped. "What the hell…?! He has eight arms now?!"
Pedro didn't waste a second. He dashed toward Ren, hoping to overwhelm him with speed. But Ren's new form allowed him to block every single attack. With his enhanced agility and strength, he caught Pedro mid-strike and slammed him into the ground.
Pedro gasped, pain shooting through his body. Ren wasn't done.
Ren lifted Pedro into the air and delivered a barrage of punches with his multiple fists. The force shook the entire stadium. It looked like Pedro had reached his limit.
But then—
A small voice echoed in Pedro's mind.
"Onii-chan… don't lose."
It was his little sister's voice.
Pedro's eyes shot open. His body reacted on instinct. A sudden burst of energy surged through him, accelerating his speed beyond anything he had ever achieved.
Ren's face twisted in shock. "How…?! How are you still moving?!"
Pedro clenched his fists. "Because I have people I need to protect."
With one final burst of speed, Pedro vanished and reappeared in front of Ren—this time faster than light.
BOOM!
Pedro unleashed his strongest punch, striking Ren with every ounce of his strength. The impact sent Ren flying past the boundary line.
The stadium fell silent.
Then—
"THE WINNER IS PEDRO COSTA!!!"
The crowd erupted into thunderous applause.
Pedro stood tall, bloodied but victorious. His chest rose and fell rapidly as he turned to the cheering audience. His little sister ran onto the battlefield and hugged him tightly.
"You did it, onii-chan!"
Pedro smiled, patting her head.
Ren lay on the ground, staring at the sky. He had lost—but he wasn't disappointed. He chuckled to himself.
"Damn… I thought I had you there," Ren muttered, pushing himself up.
Hajime, Akira, and Ryo ran over.
"Good fight, Ren," Akira said, extending a hand.
Ren took it and stood up. "Yeah. That was insane."
Pedro walked up and held out his hand as well. "You're strong as hell, Ren. I really thought I was gonna lose."
Ren smirked, shaking his hand. "Same here, man. You earned it."
As the crowd celebrated, the mysterious man in the shadows took one last glance at the arena before turning away.
The new generation of Ringborns had begun.
