Victoria made her choice.
To pick the exciting life that many people might abhor her because of it.
But for Victoria, it was simply the best choice for her.
Because she couldn't see any hope or purpose in her life.
Since there was no hope, why not take the most drastic measure and create some meaning for her bleak life?
Isn't it better than waiting for her to die.
Besides, even if the path of demonic magician was to cut off their lifespan for the sake of power, what was one had to be afraid?
Everything had a price.
And every decision has a consequences.
Since she had decided to walk on this path and cut off everyone else from her life, then she would walk onto this path until the very end.
Is there any regret?
Perhaps, there was some but Victoria completely suppressed it. Because she knew that imagining needless thing would not bring her any benefit or anything like that.
By trading the possibility of living a long life to the great power that she could not obtain in her entire life, she would be able to become strong.
For Victoria, it's worth it.
But at the same time, the path of ruthlessness is a path that would make her be alone.
No one else could come into her life and be friend with her.
Because once someone came close to her and affected her life, then she would have to kill the other party to keep her from having her heart wavered.
It's difficult.
Because many people said that people couldn't live by themselves.
But if by staying with other people and communicating with them, her life would be difficult and there would be many burden in her heart, then it would be better to cut it all off.
This is the path that Victoria had chosen.
"Do you still need a future when there's a great possibility you will die in the feet of countless magic beasts every single day?" Victoria whispered in a low voice.
Staying in the bases and being protected by others did grant them chance of survival.
But is that what they wanted?
To live an ordinary life?
Many people might feel that it was good enough. Because they felt that they could see the beauty of life through their daily interactions and so on.
But not Victoria.
She could not see any of that.
All she could see was her miserable situation and the burden in her heart that she had no way to bring out in the slightest bit.
Because of that, the only thing that she could do was to take a step forward and took the initiative to cut off everything.
Cutting off everything that could destroy her life.
Only in this way would it be possible for her to move forward.
Is it ruthless?
Is it extreme?
Is it abominable?
Yes, it is.
Victoria will admit it openly that what she did was not very humane and would definitely garner hatred of countless people.
But at the same time, it is the path that she had chosen and willing to follow until the very end.
Even if this ending meant that she will die because of being counter killed by someone whom she wanted to kill.
It's a dangerous life.
But this is a life that she's more wiling to walk on rather than an ordinary life where she could only wait for others to make her life miserable.
"Hahahaha!" The man laughed out loud when he heard Victoria's words. He looked at Victoria with a bright smile on his face. "It seems that you also know that the world is really hopeless. Even if there's a chance of survival in the future, but it's only for ordinary people."
Ordinary people…
Because ordinary people would be living while being protected and simply handed over their fate to he world.
They had no chance to even try to fight because they had no ability.
To stay among the ordinary, live ordinary, and continue like this until the rest of their lives.
Isn't this how majority of people lived?
Victoria saw them and knew that as well.
But even if these ordinary people have colorful life because of their various life choices, she didn't want to have such life.
"Because if you want to influence the world's direction, you can only walk on the path of the extraordinary, bet on your life and try to walk on the path that no other people dared to walk on," the man said with a smile. "Isn't this what you're also trying to do as a demonic magician?"
Hearing this, Victoria smiled and nodded. "Yes."
She didn't want to be an ordinary person.
What was the point of being an ordinary person who only knew how to eat and wait to die?
They were just living an ordinary life.
Struggling to fulfill their daily needs, eating and drinking for their entire life.
It was not what Victoria wanted.
She hated being ordinary.
She wanted to be extraordinary.
Even if this extraordinary thing would only be for a very short period of time.
"Do you have any other dream to speak of?" The man asked again.
"Dream?" Victoria blinked her eyes and then shook her head. "If anything, I just want to create a spectacular scene and let the world know my name."
This would be the best way for Victoria.
To let the whole world knew about her and walked on an extraordinary path… even if this meant that she had to bet with her life.
Why not?
Isn't it better than remain an unknown person despite had walked on this 'extraordinary' and despicable path?
"Hahahaha!" The man laughed out loud again and then grinned. "If you truly dare to bet your life for it… you can come here."
He took out a paper and handed it to Victoria. On the paper was a map and there was one building specifically marked.
