Saiyan Reborn: Bravoc's Journey in Omniverse

Chapter 7: Chapter 7: The Calm Before the Storm

"Gran Tesoro?"

Bravoc furrowed his brows. The name tickled something in the back of his mind, but he couldn't place it.

"Where the hell was that again…?"

Doflamingo leaned in with a trademark grin, the corners of his mouth curling with amusement.

"That's the territory of the Golden Emperor, Tesoro."He gestured with flair, as if unveiling a grand attraction."A floating city made entirely of gold. Also the biggest entertainment complex in the world. Rumor has it… some of the female staff have eaten Zoan-type Devil Fruits. Fufufu~"

His grin took on a lecherous edge.

Bravoc shot him a flat look.

"...You think I'm some kind of perv?"

Still, credit where credit was due—Doflamingo wasn't an idiot. He was sharp. Calculating. Always playing the long game.

Over the past few days, he'd dropped everything just to stay at Bravoc's side. Always nearby, always watching, always anticipating what Bravoc might want or need.Food. Entertainment. Even emotional comfort.Like a snake offering warmth before the strike.

It was hard to stay annoyed at someone trying this hard.

He's dangerous, Bravoc thought. But at least he's dangerously polite.

Still... he was getting restless.

"Enough chit-chat," Bravoc muttered, rising from his seat. "Let's get back to business."

It wasn't boredom—it was instinct.A low, insistent hum deep in his bones.A need for battle. For a Saiyan, going too long without a fight was like starving a flame of oxygen.

If I can't fight, at least let me see someone else fight…

He glanced sideways at Doflamingo.Long. Measured. Almost predatory.

Doflamingo felt a chill trail down his spine.

"R-Right, right," he said, adjusting his sunglasses. "Actually, the Marines messaged me this morning. Asked when we'll be arriving. Apparently, all their battle preparations are complete."

That lined up with what Bravoc had heard.

Marineford had been a flurry of activity for weeks. Evacuating nearly a million civilians. Sending out merchant ships. Shoring up defenses.

And the Whitebeard Pirates? They weren't sitting quietly either.

A week ago, every one of Whitebeard's allied crews had gathered on a New World island near the Red Line. Then, just like that—they vanished.

Reports said they passed through Fishman Island.

Now?They could be anywhere.Waiting. Watching. Ready to strike.

And still, the Navy hadn't moved. Not even once.

They're not setting a trap, Bravoc realized. They're making a statement.

They wanted a fight.

They were going to end Whitebeard.End this pirate era.Reclaim control of the seas.

Even in a world ruled by Celestial Dragons and twisted justice, there were still Marines who burned with conviction.

Bravoc cracked his neck.

"Let's go," he said flatly. "I want to walk around Marineford a bit... while it still exists."

Doflamingo blinked.Wait.

While it still exists?

His grin faltered for just a moment.

Was this guy... planning to sink the entire island?

Scene Break – Marineford Docks

The sun dipped behind iron-gray clouds, casting the bay in a grim amber hue.Warships glided into the harbor like silent beasts. Steel hulls glinting with cold light. Cannons freshly polished, rows of barrels gleaming like fangs.

A medium-class vessel docked.

And standing tall at its prow, wrapped in a blinding pink-feathered coat—was Donquixote Doflamingo.

A ripple of whispers passed through the Marines.

"Look… it's the Warlord of the Sea… Heavenly Yaksha, Doflamingo."

"Ugh. Pirate scum."

"Shhh! He's here as an ally!"

"Tch. He can go down with Whitebeard for all I care…"

Definitely one of Akainu's men.

A few steps behind him, Bravoc lounged on a deck chair, legs crossed, arms behind his head.

"You're real popular, huh?"

Doflamingo chuckled, unfazed.

"Fufufu~ I've never needed the approval of sheep."

There it was—the monster behind the grin. That raw, ruthless confidence. No wonder the world feared him.

But not everyone on board was so composed.

A Marine Vice Admiral stood at the ship's edge, arms crossed tightly. He'd been assigned to escort Doflamingo to HQ.

He hadn't liked the job. Still didn't.

But the whole trip, something had felt... off.

At first, he thought Bravoc was just another underling. But the way Doflamingo behaved around him?

It was respect.

The Vice Admiral remembered it clearly—Doflamingo, using his String-String Fruit...to slice a watermelon for Bravoc.

This is the Heavenly Yaksha! One of the Seven Warlords!

Who the hell is this guy?

And why did it feel like something massive—something world-shaking—was about to happen?

The Vice Admiral narrowed his eyes.

Once they docked, he would report everything straight to Fleet Admiral Sakazuki.
