Saving Uchiha, Starts by Flipping The Table

Honestly, these actions didn't really harm Konohagakure, but they were endlessly irritating. 

And yet, the ninjas from Sunagakure Village seemed to enjoy it. 

To borrow a phrase from the internet in a past life—it was like kicking a dog just because it happened to walk by. 

Since the Sunagakure ninjas liked to play these games, Yan figured he might as well play along.

If you agree to another village's request but don't follow through, they won't trust you next time.

They just needed a reasonable excuse. 

For example, they could claim that Iwagakure's ninja were on a mission in the Land of Grass when they were suddenly attacked. After an investigation, they found out that Kusagakure's ninja were behind it. 

Kusagakure, humiliated by the public accusations, lashed out in anger and attacked Iwagakure's ninja. 

There—that's the perfect excuse. 

Does it even matter if Kusagakure actually did something so ruthless? 

Not at all. 

Because once Iwagakure *says* they did, Kusagakure has no choice but to take the blame. 

"Hmm, makes sense. Go ahead with the plan." 

Taking the moral high ground, accusing Kusagakure, and attacking them under a fabricated excuse would still hurt Iwagakure's reputation. Some smaller villages that considered working with them might start being cautious. 

But that was still better than having their reputation completely ruined. 

Oonoki agreed without hesitation. 

And so… the tide of the ninja world suddenly shifted. 

Iwagakure publicly condemned Kusagakure, claiming that Kusagakure, resentful over not receiving compensation from Konohagakure, tried to drag Iwagakure into their scheme against them. 

 They wanted to use Iwagakure to smear Konohagakure's name and ruin its reputation. 

Since Kusagakure's actions threatened peace and could damage the friendly relations between Iwagakure and Konohagakure, Iwagakure firmly rejected their approach and exposed their plot. 

They made Kusagakure's scheme public. 

Suddenly, the whole ninja world was focused on the conflict between Iwagakure and Kusagakure. 

Those unaware of the full story couldn't help but curse Kusagakure, with some even enjoying the spectacle. 

Kusagakure must have lost their minds to challenge both Iwagakure and Konohagakure. 

How much bad sake did they drink to make such a reckless move? 

Meanwhile, those who *did* know the full story were confused by Iwagakure's actions. 

Weren't they getting along just fine before? 

Why did their alliance suddenly fall apart?

And now they're turning around and blaming Kusagakure for disrupting peace in the ninja world and damaging relations between Iwagakure and Konohagakure? What kind of nonsense is this? 

A huge burden was suddenly dropped on Kusagakure's head, almost knocking out its higher-ups. 

They never in their wildest dreams imagined that Iwagakure would sell them out so directly. 

While they were still discussing how to cling tightly to Iwagakure's support and avoid Konohagakure lashing out in desperation, Yan had already declared that he would eliminate their people. 

If Konohagakure wanted to take out their envoys, so be it. It wouldn't make much of a difference anyway. 

Either way, it was Konohagakure's reputation that would take a hit. 

As long as Kusagakure itself wasn't attacked, that was all that mattered. 

If things got out of hand, the other villages wouldn't just sit by and watch. 

But before Konohagakure even had to make a move, Iwagakure kicked Kusagakure aside first. 

Then, they started scolding them, even throwing a bunch of false accusations their way. 

What caught Kusagakure completely off guard was that Iwagakure didn't stop there. 

Not long after, they fired another shot— 

Accusing Kusagakure of holding a grudge over past events and attacking an Iwagakure ninja squad on a mission, brutally wiping them out. 

"?????"
