Seven Deadly Sins System

Chapter 115: New World

"Boom!"

A loud sound rang in Chu Wuyao's ears and she instantly felt as if her body was being stuffed inside a very small space, a space that was barely large enough to contain her.

The next moment, just as she was wondering what exactly was happening, Chu Wuyao finally regained control over her body and subconsciously opened her eyes, only to find herself facing a wooden ceiling.

Looking at the unfamiliar ceiling, Chu Wuyao was filled with doubts.

She could feel that the world around her had become strange and at the same time, her body had become somewhat unfamiliar and very weak , as if she had returned to the time she was still just a mortal.

Faced with this situation, Chu Wuyao didn't allow herself to panic, but forced herself to calm down and tried to analyze her current situation.

Turning her head to try and find any clues, she noticed that she was currently laying on top of a large soft bed, in a luxurious room that was decorated in precious items.

Chu Wuyao didn't need to be an expert to understand that the wooden furniture that were in every corner of the room were very valuable, while the paintings on the walls were antiques, looking extremely rare.

Just as she pushed her hands against the bed and about to get up in order to investigate further, Chu Wuyao discovered that she was clutching an item in her hand, which she had previously been ignoring for some unknown reason.

Lowering her head and opening her fist, Chu Wuyao found that she was holding a small wooden token.

Her actions seemed to have activated a mechanism, as the wooden token suddenly shone with a golden brilliant light and it flew right towards her head.

Before she could react, the token had appeared in front of her forehead and then, it got inside.

Such a strange thing should have caused Chu Wuyao to be alarmed, but she didn't have any time to care about it.

The moment the token entered her body, many pieces of information poured into her mind, accompanied by a bunch of unfamiliar memories.

With the strength of her soul, it didn't take long for Chu Wuyao to digest this information and after a few more seconds, her eyelids twitched and she opened her eyes.

"That's it!", she muttered in a low voice and moved her body, getting off the bed and stepping on the wooden floor.

Taking a few steps forward, Chu Wuyao walked in front of a large mirror that hung on the wall and raised her head to look at her reflection.

Surprisingly, she didn't see the white-haired woman that she had become used to seeing, but a beautiful young woman that looked to be around 18 or 19 years old, with silky blonde hair and a pair of crystal blue, clear eyes.

Her eyebrows were curved and complemented her elegant facial features, and while her expression was indifferent, she exuded a gentle, peaceful temperament.

Although her appearance had changed, Chu Wuyao found that she was still extremely beautiful, possessing a strange charm that would make other people unconsciously feel friendly towards her.

"Such a familiar feeling...", Chu Wuyao whispered and raising her hand, she poked her cheek with her index finger, only to find that her reflection in the mirror replicated her movements.

The current situation reminded Chu Wuyao of when she first transmigrated to this strange world, having possessed a new body at that time too.

However, she knew very well that her current situation was entirely different.

"I originally thought that this inheritance would be like the inheritance that the Mist Dragon left behind and that we would have to go through a few tests to judge our potential."

"I didn't expect that that blue gate would actually send us to another world!", Chu Wuyao thought and couldn't help but sigh.

That's right! From the information that poured into her mind, Chu Wuyao knew that everyone that had passed through the blue gate had been transported to another, completely different world.

From the memories she received, Chu Wuyao learned that this world was very similar to the medieval times of Europe back on Earth, with the existence of knights, lords, kingdoms and a strong belief in various Gods.

Of course, there were also many massive differences, all stemming from the fact that this world had extraordinary power, just like the world of cultivation that Chu Wuyao lived in.

Most people that learned such information would be shocked, but Chu Wuyao was able to calmly accept the fact that she had been transported to another world.

After all, not only had she transmigrated once already, but she had even become a Devil, an extraterrestrial creature that lived in the Devil World and enjoyed invading and plundering other worlds.

To her, the existence of other worlds was common sense.

"But this world is quite strange.", Chu Wuyao thought and gently waved her hand in the air in front of her.

With her Shackles Realm cultivation and the power of her physical body, just this wave of her hand should have cause the area around her to be devastated, but now, nothing happened.

She knew that this was because this world was excluding her power, only allowing people to possess power that was native to this world.

"Although I feel that I can break through this world's restrictions, I have a hunch that doing so will be very dangerous. It might even bring my demise."

Resisting the urge to unleash all of her strength, Chu Wuyao looked at her palm and with a thought of her mind, the wooden token that had previously been absorbed by her body appeared on top of it.

There were a few strings of words and numbers written on one side of the wooden token, in bold, red letters.

"Number of Participants:"

"11563/12190"

When she saw these numbers, Chu Wuyao became surprised.

"Have more than five hundred people died already?"

"Did they try to break the restrictions, or were they killed by the natives of this world?", she thought for a bit, before concluding that it was most likely a combination of both.

Regardless, the death of so many people made her a little emotional.

After all, these more than five hundred people were not ordinary people, but Shackles Realm cultivators that possessed nearly god-like power.

But now, they had died so quickly, without causing any commotion at all.

"It seems that I have to find a way to regain some of my strength."

"At the very least, I have to obtain enough strength to protect myself.", Chu Wuyao thought and after she put the wooden token away, she combed through the memories she had received.

Soon, she found what she was looking for, information about the power system of this world.

"Warriors, Magicians, Fighting Spirit, Magic Elements...", Chu Wuyao whispered, and the more information she went through, the more surprised she became.

In this world, tentatively named by Chu Wuyao as the "Inheritance World" for now, there is no such thing as spiritual energy, meaning that there are no cultivators at all.

Instead, in the Inheritance World, there are two types of energies: Fighting Spirit and Magic Elements.

The Fighting Spirit is an energy inside a person's body, while the Magic Elements are everywhere in the outside world, surrounding everyone.

According to what energy they use, extraordinary people in the Inheritance World are divided into two different professions: Warriors and Magicians.

Both of these professions are very strong and her predecessor had personally witnessed their power.

Going through the battle scenes in her mind, Chu Wuyao discovered that these professions were truly powerful, able to possess strength that is equivalent to Shackles Realm cultivators, if not even stronger.

"I'm afraid that one of the main benefits of this inheritance is obtaining this strange power system.", Chu Wuyao realized.

Although there was no information about how to obtain the complete inheritance, from the fact that they had been sent to this world and they were unable to use their full strength, it was clear that they had to follow the rules of this world in order to regain their lost power.

From this, it can be understood that this is a test, a test to see which person is able to become familiar with this power system and regain their power the quickest.

After all, to receive the complete inheritance, it was very likely that the people that had been transported to this world would have to eventually fight against each other.

In a sense, everyone was racing against time.

This seemed a little unfair to those whose cultivation was higher, as it meant that everyone was starting from the same starting point, but this was actually not true.

Having higher cultivation not only means possessing stronger strength, but also having a larger amount of knowledge and familiarity with the world.

Despite the fact that there were some differences between the two power systems, there were bound to be many similarities too.

The more knowledge a cultivator possessed, the easier it would be to transition to this power system and regain their strength.

For example, if two cultivators were thrown in this world, one at the Qi Accumulation Realm and one at the Supernatural Realm, it is basically certain that the Supernatural Realm cultivator will be able to progress many times faster.

Most likely, by the time the Supernatural Realm cultivator has reached the top of this power system, the Qi Accumulation Realm cultivator will still be struggling in the first few realms.

This is not a difference in talent, but in their respective knowledge.

"Although my realm is not as high as those quasi-core disciples, compared to them, I have two major advantages.", Chu Wuyao whispered and with a thought of her mind, she brought up the system panel.

[Name: Chu Wuyao(Audrey Heath)]

[Race: Devil(Bloodline: Celestial Devil)]

[Devil Rank: Lower Devil]{Partially Sealed}

[Cultivation]{Sealed}

[Blood Demon Body]{Sealed}

[Skills: Seven Stars Swordsmanship(6120/500000), Original Desire Soul(130/50000), Blood Essence Analysis(141/100000)]

[Devil Abilities: True Form(0.1%), Devil Contract(1.4%), Camouflage(1.7%), Devil Summoning(0.6%), Devil Body(2.3%)]

[Authorities: Mist World(Seed)(2.4%)]

[Sin Points: 3800]

Looking at her displayed information, Chu Wuyao wasn't surprised to find that her cultivation had been sealed, while many of her skills had completely disappeared.

The skills that were still there were actually skills that were unrelated to her cultivation realm, such as the Seven Stars Swordsmanship and the Original Desire Soul.

Moreover, the Mist World Authority was still there, as it was not a real skill, but an understanding of the rules according to which the world operated.

However, these were not the things that Chu Wuyao paid the most attention to.

Instead, she looked at her Devil Rank, which unlike her cultivation and body cultivation, was only partially sealed.

"Sure enough, the Devil Race is a race that is designed to invade other worlds and is particularly resistant to the worlds' suppression."

"Abilities like the Camouflage and the Devil Body are in fact created in order to cope with situations like this."

"Even though most of my Devil power has been sealed, my Devil Abilities can still be used, albeit they are slightly weaker because of the loss of my strength.", she quickly understood.

Chu Wuyao had already guessed that this would happen and it was one of the two reasons why she was confident enough to compete with other people.

Her Devil Abilities, coupled with the system, made Chu Wuyao believe that she would be able to adapt to this new power system very quickly, or at the very least, quicker than other cultivators.

With this in mind, Chu Wuyao closed the system panel and after she made sure that everything was fine, she took one last look at her reflection on the mirror and then, she pushed the door open and exited this room, facing this completely new world for the first time.
