Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Rain or Roan (2)
Roan stared at Sunny, looking at him with wide eyes.
"Who is Rain?" He asked with burning curiosity, while cupping his own face, mapping it. He looked down, and realised something, confirming something...
He was posssesing a girl's body, maybe in her twenties!
"She is my student, learning how to Awaken." Sunny replied simply.
"And don't you dare look down!" Sunny commanded this time, once again, realising that this wasn't Rain.
It was weird to see that!
After a long, awkward silence, Roan finally spoke up:
"It's not like that!" A blush crept on his face, buring him warm, "I am happily married!"
Back in the bedroom, Rain felt something weird.
Something she wasn't used to feeling.
'Right... I was in Master Roan's body!'
Suddenly she felt a sudden urge to see what Memories existed in his Soul Sea.
'I wonder if I can access this, and how exactly does the soul get affected in our transfer?' She thought, not realising she was still looking down.
'Men truly have no fashion sense!'
She could tell she was wearing the same clothes Roan wore as normal, not even bothering to change before sleeping! Either that, or he was the one who was lazy, like Sunny!
"Don't look down!" She heard Saint Tyris' voice suddenly.
'No... But how am I supposed to shower!'
She couldn't stay dressed like this!
Roan was trying to help reform this body's core with essence. Sunny suggested him to move his ass and start helping his sister control it while she learnt how to control essence with the Spell's help in his body.
Roan kept swinging the sword under Sunny's guidance, and trying to form the core. This body made it hard, the centre of gravity worked differeny. Everything. Was. Wrong.
"Do I have to?" He whimpered, this body was hard to get used to.
Rain looked at Saint Tyris, who stared at her, making her feel as if daggers were pricking her skin.
She summoned an armor Memory, disgusted by the idea of not showering before dressing up. She was still wearing the same clothes Roan wore yesterday! Atleast it looked better, infact it was so much so that Saint Tyris was taking photos of her...
She wore a beautiful Red dress, which exposed her shoulders and reached her knees.
It was... It was beautiful.
But something felt weird, why was she taking photos of him...?
"So uh... Are you really Soverign Sunless' sister?" Saint Tyris asked, causing her to freeze.
'No way she uses me as a bargaining tool right... Surely not, this can't happen to me!'
"Uh yes." She responded with a slightly pale face.
"Oh, he saved my life once... Back in Antarctica." She said.
Roan looked at Sunny, wondering how it must have felt to lose his Fate... Or whatever he lost to have everyone forget him.
"Do you mind if I ask how it felt to be forgotten?"
Sunny's mask had a crack, his smile disappeared for a second before it came back on.
"It was... Painful. No one recognised me, and it felt lonely. Atleast it all ended well... Because of Cassie, and now I'm with her!"
He said that, but his gaze was somewhere else. He did feel sad.
Lonely.
Roan couldn't imagine what it must have felt to be forgotten...
"Go focus on training this body now, you might have to be stuck in this one."
He really might have to, if the author wasn't the cause that was.
Which was unlikely, knowing him!
'I mean how else does one randomly disappear and enter the Tomb of Ariel...'
He almost felt bad for the author... Almost.
That bastard probably tried trolling him again, only for it to turn out in a favorable way!
'Ah he'll learn one day...' he thought with a sigh.
Rain continued training with Saint Tyris, they hid the fact that Saint Roan was not, infact, Saint Roan right now. She was teaching him how to use essence.
'No but why's it that the first thing I do in this body, train! Shouldn't there be more fun things?'
Roan was training intensely, swinging his sword and trying to reform this body's core. If he learnt how to do this, then his daughter, Telle, could Ascend without entering the Spell
That would be ideal.
And just like that, he soon Ascended. It took him a whole day.
Rain was sparring with Saint Tyris, and learning how to use essence better.
As soon as the day ended, she felt herself improve by a HUGE margin. The only downside was that she couldn't transform.
The author, seemingly pissed off nothing went his way, decided to fix what he created.
The author, pissed off at the fact nothing went his way—definetly not because he ran out of ideas,. definitely not!—decided to end the test for now.
'Never doing this again...'
