Shadow Slave: Prince of Darkness

Guys, i am thinking of making another Shadow slave fanfic, since i just got this crazy idea, also don't worry in this fanfic, i will make sure that the our protagonist will have a happy time ( heh! not really ), and also some spoiler i will give you and that is, this guy is going to be reincarnated as Sunny himself, that's all byee.

"What just happen....." said Sunny with his mouth slightly open.

Raizel just looked at him, and started walking towards them, then he said in his cold and clam voice.

"Sunny, Nephis help me collect the soul shards, we don't have much time..."

Nephis looked at Raizel then said in a flat tone.

"Raizel, who are you ?"

'Who am i ?, well i am not going to revel it yet~' he thought as he looked at her in the eye, then said in his emotionless tone.

"Just a Sleeper trying to survive the dream realm with his..... friends."

Nephis eyes widden slightly, she didn't expect such an answer from him, as she remember the spar they had, the memory of getting beaten up by him was still fresh in her. 

'Friend... he says huh...' though Nephis while looking at Raizel who has an emotionless face, she found it hard to believe, but still they need to continue their joinery, then without saying anything else she starting walking towards the monster to collect the soul shads.

Raizel then shifted his gaze towards Sunny who still hasn't come out of his shock state. He lightly tap him on his shoulder making him flinch like a scared puppy.

"Sunny go and help Nephis." 

Sunny just nodded his head and started helping Nephis. His eyes still wide open in shock.

After all he still remember his encounter with the first scavenger, which he mange to kill although the scavenger was injured, it was still a kill nothingless.

'Is this the power of the ranked 1st.' he thought as he looked at the shinny soul shard, then as he was moving towards to collect the second one, he saw some burned marked on their bodies.

'Didn't he said that his aspect is related to darkness, then where did this burn mark come from.' Sunny knows that Raizel was still hiding things from them, well not only him but Cassie and Nephis too.... and so was he, but Sunny is going to keep it that way after all his secrete is something that he will take it up to his grave, he will die then to be capture by someone.

'But i think i need to keep my guard up against them, after all they all seems to hide their trump card.' Sunny knows that even if he were to keep his guard up, the chances of him surviving the attack from Nephis or Raizel were slime.

Unknown to the thoughts of Sunny, Raizel turned his head in Cassie direction. She was standing in front of him, with her hands trembling. 

"You alright ?" he asked knowing full well that she was scared.

Instead of answering him, she quickly hugged him and asked in a tone laid with slight anger.

"Why did you run ahead, you could have gotten hurt, Raizel."

Raizel could feel her heart beat, she has genuine concern for him.

'It seems now that Cassie has full trust on me.'

Well for him it was a good thing, after all the time he has given to her in the academy and in the dream realm like staying by her side supporting her when she needed support and also feeding her food, when she is not able to.

He looked at her white face and couldn't help but think that she looks like a cute doll.

A doll— fragile enough to break, but perfect enough to keep

Then after a while he said.

"Well it's because i am strong Cassie, and i know that i will win." 

Hearing him says that with a flat tone almost as if this was a fact, Cassie was left speechless, then she started shaking him, as she said.

"Atleast make a plan or something."

"I am the plan"

Cassie didn't even know what to say anymore, to her it seems like she was talking to a wall.

After both Sunny and Nephis were done collecting the soul shard and the meat of the scavengers, the four sleeper continued their journey to the west.

They did encounter some more scavengers on their way, which were quickly dealt by Raizel alone, sometimes he would sit back and let Nephis and Sunny fight the monsters, while he protect Cassie.

Their speed was fast because of Raizel who was killing most of the monsters.

Soon they reach their destination, they were all hiding behind one of the large red tree.

Nephis and Raizel look up and surely just like Sunny describe it was huge statue of a knight, wearing a white armor with seven star in his chest plate, it sword was pointed to ground. The only thing missing about the huge statue was it head.

Looking at the large statue of knight, Raizel thought.

'Knight one of the founder of the Starlight Legion or should i say on the seven heroes, expect for knight their were also six other, Priestess, Hunter, Builder, Lord, Slayer and lastly the Stranger.'

Thought Raizel as he recall the information of the Seven Heroes from the book.

'Together they were known as the seven heroes who were to battle against the encroaching doom (Curse of Darkness), they swear to bring back the light even though they never saw it.'

Suddenly his thought were broken by Nephis who said.

"What do you think, Raizel"

"Hmm"

Raizel tilted his head in her direction then asked.

"About what ?"

Nephis pointed her finger towards the statue as she spoke up.

"I'm saying should we take a rest since it is going to be dark"

Raizel then look up and saw that it was indeed about to get dark, he could also feel the sea water raising slowly reaching his feet.

He nodded his head, as he said

"You're right we should indeed take rest at the Statue for the night"

Then Sunny suddenly interrupt their conversation.

"Hold on, how on a earth are we going reach that statue ?"

Sunny said while pointing his finger at the horde of scavenger that were surrounding the Statue. The tall statue was surrounded by both sides from back to front, leaving no ground for entry.

Seeing this Nephis frowned a bit, she hold her sword tightly as if ready to fight.

'Again something like this didn't happen in the book.'

'But ohh well whatever.'

He then raised his hands and lift all of them up from the ground using his telekinesis. 

Sunny was shock as he quickly summoned his sword. He look around and saw that Nephis and Cassie were also in the same situation as him.

But they seems clam for some reason, as f something like this has already happened.

'What ?'

Suddenly he saw they were flying towards the knight statue.

He then remember something as he glanced at Raizel.

'Is that what she meant, when she said that he can fly.'

Though Sunny as he recall the conversation he heard of Nephis with Raizel.

It was already dark about the time they reach the statue. The dark sea has already return.

The four sleeper sat together in the middle of the platform. Raizel took out some burned meat from his storage space passed it to everyone. The three sleeper were surprised that the meat hasn't gotten rotten, nor cold.

Raizel then explained it to them, that time stopped in his storage space.

Hearing that, they were all shocked before they staring eating.

After they were done eating and passing the bottle of limitless water around. They sat their in silence.

Then Nephis lightly tapped Raizel on the shoulder indicating him to take out the spoils of today's journey. Raizel nodded his head then took out 15 shimmering soul shards and put them on the ground.

Sunny was surprised to see such number, he knew that even if he tried his hardest he would never be able to get so much soul shards in one day.

He secretly glance at Raizel who contributed the most. Since he and Nephis only manage to kill 3 even when they teamed up, but Raizel on the other hand managed to kill 12 on his own.

'Curses'

Sunny mentally curse as he knew the large gape between him and Raizel, and it seems to be getting more big as their journey continued.

Nephis doesn't look much surprised by the amount probably due to her legacy background. They most likely have vault full of these stuff back in the day.

"How do you want to split up" said Nephis to Raizel since he is the one who contributed the most.

Sunny also looked at Raizel who looks to be in deep thought.

Raizel equally divided the soul shards between them.

The three sleeper were surprised with his kindness.

"I can't take these many Raizel!!" said Cassie nearly shouting out. 

Nephis and Sunny also looked in her direction stunned by her reaction, they probably didn't expect Cassie the quit one to nearly shout out loud.

Raizel raised an eyebrow, then said.

"And why is that ?"

Although he tried to sound clam but his tone was icy cold.

"Bec-Because t-these will only be wasted on so-someone like me, i-i appreciate the gesture b-but you should give it to someone like Nephis or Sunny w-who can fight." said Cassie scared as she though that Raizel was angry at her.

Nephis tried to object but couldn't come up with anything, after all even she knows what Cassie said is right.

'Well Cassie is right, after all throughout the journey she wasn't much of an help only a liability.'

Thought Sunny as he remember how many time he had to take care of Cassie. Sunny then shifted his gaze to Raizel.

'Is he going to take the soul shards'

A tired sigh escape from Raizel mouth, then he said.

"Cassie, I don't plan on staying here and just wait for death. You may think that it is okay, and we can survive if given enough time..."

"But let me tell you one things, you can never live happily if you aren't willy to work for it. Because in this world only strong survive and weak are crushed by the strong. Right now you are the one who is weak, if you want to survive you needs to grab every opportunity you are given, so you better start strengthening yourself or you are going to ended up being a liability or worse... dead." 

Raizel words were harsh and cruel for someone like Cassie because at the end of Raizel sentence, she was already on the verge on tears. 

She just quietly nodded her head and started absorbing the soul shards.

Nephis and Sunny didn't said anything as they know what Raizel said is true. Because right now Cassie is like a open book.

Unlike Nephis her nanny didn't tried to kill her, unlike Sunny she doesn't have to fight for food everyday, and unlike Raizel she didn't go through something which even an a man blinded by revenge would not wish upon his worst enemy.

Cassie is just a normal girl form a normal family, So she hasn't seen how dark the world can be.

Raizel has already put his soul shards in his storage space when no one was looking, after they don't need to know that he can't absorb the shards. He looked around and saw that Nephis and Cassie were also has finish absorbing the soul shards, as they seems to to staring blankly at the air, probably looking at their ruins.

Then his gaze shifted towards Sunny who was just looking at his soul shards in deep thought.

"What the problem Sunny ?" said Raizel getting Sunny out of his thought.
