Chapter 153: New Camp.
"Alright that's enough, guys. Here take these, we'll be leaving soon."
Felix stopped his antics and distributed the ration bags to his teammates, who quickly grabbed them before he changed his mind.
The four of them didn't say anything as they opened the bags and ate the snacks to their heart's content.
Finally, an Executive approached them as he stated.
"It's your turn now, lads. Join that group and start moving to the new camp. Keep track of your path so that you don't get separated or lost."
While the four boys were searching for snacks, almost eighty per cent of the people had already left for the new camp.
Now only two groups were left to migrate, the one where the four boys were included, and the last group with some of the executives like Miss Elsa and the others guarding the rear.
"Come on, let's go. They'll leave us at this rate.", Roven said as they tucked their snack bags into their waists and quickly caught up with their group to enter the tunnel.
Without further introductions or any delay, the group headed into the tunnel which was lit up by the previous groups.
The last group consisted of several strong and resourceful executives, who had been given the task of erasing every evidence of them ever being here.
After a couple of minutes of work, they too gathered together and stepped into the tunnel, finally abandoning their temporary base.
Sometime later, there was a small disturbance as a dim light shone from one of the five dark tunnels in that place.
Eventually, the light brightened as quick footsteps arrived at the place.

On the way to their new base, Felix carefully thought about the recent battle and his shortcomings in it.
His skills related to the earth attribute turned out to be a lot useful considering they were in a cavern dungeon, and the new skills that he created also enriched his combat ability.
'The two new skills Battlefield Awareness and Sinkhole are a great addition to my skill set. But the duration and the cooldown for Battlefield Awareness must be changed...'
As his thoughts reached here, he called out to the system and ordered it to upgrade the skill as he imagined.
[Affirmative.]
[Processing the skill's power scale....modifying the skill....estimating the possible points required.....skill successfully modified.]
[Skill Name: Battlefield Awareness(Upgrade)
Description:
An active skill that grants the user heightened....
...sudden changes in the battle.
- The skill has a duration of 20 minutes and a cooldown time of 10 minutes.
- Grants a 360-degree awareness of all active entities within a 30-meter radius.
- Highlights enemy weak points and predicts their next moves.
Cost: +600 skill points]
[Does the host wish to spend 600 skill points to upgrade the skill Battlefield Awareness?]
As soon as Felix saw the message of the upgraded skill, he paused his legs for a second before continuing to walk.
'600 skill points more?!! The original was 400 skill points! So the total will be 1000 skill points for it?! Why don't you just loot me!'
Looking through the description once again, he started calculating the change it must've brought to the skill by having a duration of 20 minutes and a cooldown of 10 minutes.
A look of understanding emerged on his face as he realized that the upgrading cost was actually accurate with the corresponding change in the skill's effectiveness.
'Sigh...so the system wasn't playing me huh.'
Although it cost him much, the skill Battlefield Awareness proved to be a lot useful in crowd battles, so Felix unhesitatingly confirmed with the system.
[Ding!]
[Successfully upgraded the skill Battlefield Awareness. Does the host wish to change its name?]
Felix refused to change its name and turned his attention to call out his status.
[Ding!]
[--Status--]
[Name: Felix]
[Race: Human]
[Age: 14]
[Sex: Male]
[Mage Cultivation: Rank 0]
[Warrior Cultivation: Rank 1]
[Talent: ★★ ]
[State: Partially Pure Viens and a healthy body.]
[Skills: Silent Steps, Flashback, Earth Swimming, Ratio Technique, Parabolic Hearing, Earth Spikes, Agility Burst, Corrosion, Equanimity, Quicksand, Dust Blast, Terra Drain, Map, Inspect, Enhanced Brain, Battlefield Awareness, Sinkhole.]
He nodded as he gave a quick glance at his status. Nothing had changed much other than the addition of his new skills.
'Although it kind of looks weak with both my warrior and mage cultivation at zero and one rank, it's better if they stay there. Gaining more skill points and creating strong skills is more important than raising my rank.'
Closing his eyes as he relaxed while marching with the group, Felix suddenly imagined himself being surrounded by various Rank 2 and Rank 3 monsters.
Even with a hoard of such monsters, he was confident that he wouldn't die with the help of his escaping skills.
And the huge amount of skill points he could gain by killing them made him chuckle evilly under his breath.
'...I've read in a book that a dungeon usually contains a lot of monsters compared to the forests surrounding our city. I wonder just how many I'll be able to kill...'
"...hehe....kekeke."
His sudden change in aura didn't go unnoticed by his teammates, who glanced at each other in confusion.
Steve just circled his finger on the temple of his head, indicating Felix may have a screw loose.
Eric scratched his head in worry while Roven sighed tiredly as he had a good guess on what the boy was thinking about.
Almost half an hour after they had set off, they finally reached the end of the tunnel where they could see a large expanse of a rocky area having a few small hills and dunes, with its ceiling reaching dozens of meters high.
Felix and the group marvelled at the astonishing features of this natural cavern, where the previously arrived groups had already started building their camp.
"Have a rest for now. Lunch will be ready in about an hour.", the executive leading their group said as everyone left to do their work.
The four boys went to sit with the rest of their guildmates who were having a chat and joined them to pass their time.
With the humorous input from Steve and his comedic fight with Eric, the group had a few laughs as they enjoyed the calm atmosphere.
Soon it was time for lunch as everyone gathered around while the logistic guild members served them food and drinks.
Even though everything seemed fine, the higher-ups were starting to get restless as the last group had yet to arrive at the new camp.
The last group consisted of a few strong executives, so they weren't much worried about them encountering any monsters, but they would've already reached by now even if they did come across some.
As the people started discussing it, Roven looked worried as he muttered. Stay connected with My Virtual Library Empire
"Where is Sis? Why haven't they come yet?"
Felix frowned slightly as he gazed intently at the tunnel they had come from.
"I wonder if they're facing some strong monsters....Must be a few Rank 3's if they're getting this late."
Steve noticed the eager look in Felix's eyes as he said that, knowing the boy was again itching for some battle.
'Lucky him...He can fight as much as he wants. Then there's me....sigh...'
Eric on the other hand ignored everything as he took out a book out of nowhere after finishing lunch.
It wasn't his problem whether someone got into trouble or not, as long as he was safe and sound, he didn't care.
A quiet atmosphere surrounded the camp as everyone settled down and waited for the rest of their guildmates to arrive.
BOOM!!
Out of nowhere, a sudden tremor went through the cavern as everyone turned their heads to the source of it.
"W-What was it?!"
"An earthquake?!"
The tremor came from the same tunnel they all had arrived here from, which under their eyes soon collapsed under the earth.
"No...No way!! My Sister!"
Roven shouted out loud as he hurriedly ran to the ruined tunnel that was completely destroyed for any possible passage.
"Roven, wait!", Felix called out as he and the other two boys rushed over to him.
The other people, including the higher-ups of the two guilds, quickly followed after them as they reached the broken-down tunnel.
"Shit! What the hell happened back there?!"
Evan cursed as he gaped at the scene.
The two guild leaders, Dante and Rhodes glanced at each other as they felt a foreboding feeling.
"Did they already encounter the enemy guilds so soon?", Rhodes asked with a serious tone.
"As much as I want to refute that, there doesn't seem to be any other reason..."
Dante stared deeply at the blocked tunnel which would take a lot of time for them to clear.
Victor, an Executive of Twilight Chaos guild, arrived beside Dante and suggested.
"Guild Leader, should I take my team through a different tunnel to provide help to the trapped people?"
Dante thought about that for a second as he nodded before gesturing to Rhodes.
"That's a good idea. Take some good scouts with you like Evan and such. You can't afford to fail this task."
Victor nodded as he quickly motioned for his team and several other guild members to gather together.
Looking at the collapsed tunnel, Roven gritted his teeth as his face became a bit pale.
"Sis...I...no..."
The thought of losing his sister made him feel overwhelmed with sadness and panic.
Slap!
A hard slap on his face from Felix brought him back to his senses as he held his reddened face.
"Stop with that, Roven! Nothing has happened to Miss Elsa. She's very strong, you know it, right?!"
Roven forcibly nodded his head, recalling his sister's strength which made her hailed as a genius in the guild.
Seeing that Roven had stopped panicking, Felix sighed inwardly as he too was worried about Miss Elsa's safety.
"Look over there. I think they're making a rescue team to go find Miss Elsa and the others.", Steve muttered with hope as he pointed at Victor.
Turning his head, Felix had his eyes lit up as he decisively made his way to the group of people.
Under the surprised looks of his teammates, he approached the higher-ups and requested with determination when they felt his presence.
"Sirs, please allow me to join the rescue team!"
