Son, Put Your Father To The Test (FF)

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: The Northern Sea Giant Monster, The Death of the Third Elder

After a long while, most of the emperors had left the plaza and returned to their own worlds. They ultimately chose to rule in smaller realms rather than be subservient in larger ones.

Qin Chuan, the large monk, and a few other emperors who planned to hitch a ride to the main continent gathered around Yu Linzi.

"Activate the Boundary-Breaking Array!"

Yu Linzi shouted, his body radiating a blinding light as he pushed his hands toward the white jade plaza.

"Buzz, buzz, buzz!"

Immediately, the towering white jade pillars, each three meters in diameter and dozens of meters high, began to glow. Runes danced along their surfaces, forming a grand formation.

"Boom!"

A massive white beam of light shot up from the center of the formation, piercing the sky as though tearing through the heavens.

Within that pillar of light, the power of teleportation surged. Stepping into the beam would transport one directly to the main continent.

"Huff, huff…"

Yu Linzi gasped for breath and sternly said, "This array requires my power to maintain, and the cost to me is immense. Every person it sends will inflict a backlash on me."

"Thank you, Senior."

"Much appreciated, Senior."

The few emperors who had paid five emperor-level weapons each expressed their gratitude, though their true feelings remained unknown.

No one here was a fool!

Sometimes, one simply had to play the fool.

"Boom!"

At that moment, the snow-white palace shook violently. A massive, hundred-meter-wide tentacle surged up from the pitch-black depths of the sea, stretching toward the sky, then crashed down onto the edge of the white jade plaza!

It was as if a giant hand had reached up from the ocean floor, gripping the side of a fishing boat, trying to flip it over.

"Is that… the Northern Sea Giant Monster?!"

One of the hidden emperors from the Northern Domain turned pale and trembled.

"What's a Northern Sea Giant Monster?"

The large monk asked.

"It's a terrifying creature that has lived in the Northern Sea since ancient times, lying dormant for ages," the hidden emperor stammered.

"I once witnessed it devour several emperors. When it opens its mouth, a whirlpool thousands of meters wide forms across the sea, and the terrifying suction leaves no escape…"

"Boom!"

"Boom!"

Two more massive tentacles slammed down on the edge of the plaza, tilting the entire white jade platform.

"Beast! How dare you act so brazenly in front of me!"

Yu Linzi coldly snorted, his body glowing brilliantly, rising into the air like a blazing sun, his presence overwhelming.

"Senior, don't!"

The hidden emperor from the Northern Domain shouted in a panic. "This creature is an ancient beast! It's mindless, vicious, and there's no need to provoke it!"

"Hmph! I despise unnecessary slaughter, but this wretch dares act up before me. It's courting death!"

Yu Linzi replied arrogantly.

As one of the powerful figures descended from the main continent, and a third elder of the Purple Cloud Academy, Yu Linzi's status was lofty. Now, with this monster disrupting things in front of so many witnesses, how could he let it go without losing face?

"Roar!"

Suddenly, massive waves surged from the sea, turning the water pitch black. Dark fog rose from the ocean, and a massive, blood-red eye as large as an island emerged from the deep.

"It's over! The beast has shown its evil heart!"

The hidden emperor cried out in horror.

But Yu Linzi sneered, "Foolish creature! Even after seeing me, you refuse to flee? You truly deserve death!"

He raised his hand to the side, and with a flash of light, a massive golden sword appeared in his grasp.

"That's the Giant Que Sword!"

"Third Elder's Giant Que Sword is a top-tier emperor weapon, practically a quasi-imperial artifact, known for its incredible power!"

"This monster is finished!"

The disciples from the Purple Cloud Academy cheered, their eyes alight with worship.

"Slash!"

Yu Linzi swung the Giant Que Sword with one hand. The unstoppable sword light cut across the sky, severing several tentacles in one stroke.

"Roar!!!"

The Northern Sea Giant Monster let out a harrowing cry as a massive volume of blood gushed from its severed limbs, pouring out like a nauseating flood.

However, even more tentacles rose from the depths of the sea—hundreds of them, towering like mountains and blotting out the sun.

Moreover, the tentacles began to mutate, quickly becoming covered in a thick layer of hard, armor-like scales that gleamed like metal under the sunlight.

"Foolish trickery! Break!"

Yu Linzi sneered, swinging his sword once more. The colossal sword light swept out, ready to sever all the tentacles at once.

But when the sword light struck the hundreds of tentacles, it only sparked and bounced off them.

While the tentacles weren't cut, the sheer force of the strike caused them to buckle, as though mountains were collapsing. The force rippled down the limbs, nearly toppling the entire creature.

The sea churned violently, waves towering as high as mountains!

Yu Linzi's expression faltered slightly. He called out, "As expected of an ancient creature that's lived for tens of thousands of years! Any ordinary peak emperor would struggle against you."

Then, his tone turned haughty once more.

"However, today you face me! Let me show you the true might of the Giant Que Sword—the power of indomitable destruction!"

With that, his figure flashed, streaking across the sky like a beam of light. In an instant, he landed atop the Northern Sea Giant Monster's head.

"Die!"

Both hands gripping the sword's hilt, Yu Linzi thrust downward with all his might.

"Bang! Bang! Bang!"

The blade sparked and clashed, releasing pillars of light that shot toward the heavens.

"Rumble!"

Lightning surrounded the Northern Sea Giant Monster's hundreds of tentacles, causing them to thrash about in the air in agony.

"Well done!"

"Three Elder is mighty!"

"Slay the beast!"

The disciples of the Purple Cloud Academy cheered, worshiping their elder like a god.

These disciples, known as the Iron-Blood Youth Corps, had another title: the Honor Guard.

To join this group, one had to possess not only great strength but also the natural talent to praise their superiors wholeheartedly. This wasn't just for the academy's image—it elevated the prestige of its most influential figures.

"Hmph, mere beast…"

Yu Linzi smirked and prepared to pull the sword out, but after a slight tug, he realized—he couldn't.

"What is this?!"

He looked down in shock.

The black surface beneath his feet had cracked open, revealing a massive network of fissures stretching hundreds of meters. The crevices revealed a vast area of white beneath, gleaming like crystal in the sunlight.

They were… teeth!

Which meant that his seemingly earth-shattering sword strike had merely lodged itself between the creature's teeth.

"Not good! Senior, get out of there!"

The hidden emperor yelled in terror.

Yu Linzi, realizing the danger, immediately let go of the sword and leaped into the air. But it was too late.

"Roar!"

The Northern Sea Giant Monster opened its massive maw, creating a black abyss that exuded terrifying suction, enveloping Yu Linzi.

"No!!!"

Yu Linzi screamed in fear, his body glowing fiercely as he tried to break free of the suction.

But it was no use. He flailed wildly as he fell toward the dark abyss, his limbs thrashing like a drowning man. Both he and his Giant Que Sword were swallowed whole, vanishing into the black depths.

"Crunch!"

The monster's jaws snapped shut, and the Northern Sea Giant Monster, without sparing anyone else a glance, retracted its hundreds of tentacles and quietly sank back into the sea.

"Wha…"

"How could this happen to the Third Elder…"

"Third Elder!!!!!!!!"

Everyone was frozen in disbelief, and the disciples of the Purple Cloud Academy let out heart-wrenching cries of grief after a brief moment of shock.

After a while, the large monk turned to the Purple Cloud Academy disciples and politely asked, "Young ones, could you tell me where this array will drop us once we reach the main continent?"

Without their powerful protector, the disciples of the Purple Cloud Academy, faced with this seemingly scheming monk, began to feel uneasy.

The monk didn't look like a good person. Could he be planning to rob them once they arrived?
