Soul Swap: Trapped Forever

Chapter 9: The Wedding Night

Shashank glanced at Sarvagya and lowered his voice. "Listen, whatever I say to these ladies to send them away, you just go along with it. Pretend like you're desperate to get inside."

Sarvagya raised a skeptical eyebrow. "Why would I do that? I have no interest in going inside."

Shashank rolled his eyes. "Because I'm telling you to. It's just an act. Let me handle the rest."

Sarvagya took a deep breath, shaking his head. "Fine. Whatever."

With that, Shashank strode towards the group of women blocking the entrance to Sarvagya's room. They stood their ground, arms crossed, clearly enjoying their little game of barring him from entering.

"Ladies, go back to your rooms," Shashank announced confidently. "Keeping Sarvagya here isn't going to get you anything."

Sonali, one of Sarvagya's sisters-in-law, tilted her head. "Oh really? Does he not know about the entry fee?"

Shashank shook his head. "No. He doesn't know about these things. And honestly, why would he keep gifts for you all when the wedding was supposed to be mine?"

Sarvagya nodded in agreement. "Exactly. I had no idea about any of this."

Sonali tapped her chin, considering. "That does make sense. But still, we need the entry fee. Hand over the gifts that you bought, Shashank Bhaiya."

Shashank sighed and shrugged. "I didn't buy any gifts."

Sonali gasped. "What?! How could you?!"

Sarvagya groaned. "You two can go argue in a corner. Let me go to my room."

One of Sarvagya's sisters-in-law smirked. "What's the rush, devar ji? Eager to be alone?"

(Devar - Brother in law)

Sarvagya didn't hesitate. "Of course. My wife—" he emphasized the word with a playful smirk, "—is waiting for me inside. We haven't seen each other properly in so long. We have a lot to talk about."

Sonali placed her hands on her hips. "That's nice and all, but no gifts, no entry!"

Sarvagya threw a desperate glance at Shashank, who exhaled dramatically. "Fine. Come with me. I did buy gifts for you all. Follow me."

Without a second thought, Sonali and the other women eagerly followed Shashank. The moment they were gone, Sarvagya sighed in relief, opened his door, and stepped inside.

Just when he went inside the room, he instantly froze.

Sitting on the bed beside Tripti was Sejal, talking non-stop. Meanwhile, Tripti sat quietly with her face covered, not responding.

The moment Sejal saw Sarvagya, she stood up, gave him a sweet yet mocking smile, and said "All the best." Then she walked out, closing the door behind her.

Sarvagya narrowed his eyes at her retreating figure. That smirk... she had definitely done something.

Before he could call her back, Sejal had disappeared. Frustrated, he locked the door and turned to Tripti. "What the hell was she talking to you about? Was she trying to turn you against me? Or did she plant a bomb somewhere in this room?"

Tripti finally spoke, her voice quiet. "She was explaining to me what my duties as a wife should be. How I need to keep my husband happy. And what I should do to fulfill my responsibilities."

Sarvagya exhaled, rubbing his temples. "Of course. Now I get why she was smiling. She thinks I don't like you, so she filled your head with nonsense, hoping to piss me off." He let out a chuckle. "But Mrs. Sejal Agnihotri, your petty mind games won't work on me."

Sarvagya took a step closer to Tripti, but before he could get any further—

BANG! BANG!

"Open the door, Bhaiya!" Sonali's voice rang through the wood. "You tricked me! Shashank Bhaiya had nothing! No gifts! Open the door right now!"

Sarvagya ignored her and let out a relaxed sigh. "Good thing this door is soundproof. She'll get tired of yelling eventually."

He turned back to Tripti, who was still sitting on the bed, silent. Her face remained hidden under the veil, making it impossible for him to read her expression.

Sarvagya walked to the windows, making sure they were properly shut. He cast a quick glance at the study room door and found it locked—from the inside. That meant Sejal had done more than just talk.

"Great" he muttered.

Then, an idea hit him, and he turned back to Tripti. "Baby? There's no camera in here, right?"

Tripti's voice was barely above a whisper. "I… I don't know."

Sarvagya raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. "Why do you sound so nervous? Are you okay?"

Tripti took a shaky breath. "I-I'm just really nervous."

Sarvagya smiled. "No problem, baby. I'll make all your nervousness disappear in a snap. Just relax."

Tripti tried to calm herself, but she couldn't. She wasn't scared, but the feeling bubbling inside her was overwhelming. Her heartbeat drummed in her ears as she listened to the soft sound of Sarvagya moving around.

Finally, he sat in front of her. With gentle fingers, he lifted her veil.

For a moment, he forgot to breathe.

She was beautiful.

Tripti kept her gaze lowered, but Sarvagya cupped her face, guiding her to look at him.

When her eyes finally met his, she saw something in them—something warm, deep, and full of love. It made her lips curve into a soft smile.

Sarvagya, still holding her face, whispered "You look stunning."

Tripti blushed. "Thank you."

He smirked. "And? What about me? Don't I deserve a compliment?"

Tripti looked away shyly. "You always look good. But in this sherwani…" She exhaled. "You looked too good. During the wedding, I couldn't take my eyes off you."

Sarvagya grinned, his heart swelling "Oh baby, thank you so much."

He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her cheek. Then, with a playful glint in his eyes, he said, "Now, let's not waste time with words. Let's move on to the next part of the night."

Tripti gasped, hiding her face in her hands. "Sarvagya!"

Sarvagya chuckled, taking her hands in his own. He kissed them gently. Then, closing the distance between them, he whispered, "Are you comfortable, baby? We don't have to rush."

Tripti blushed harder but nodded. "I'm ready."

Sarvagya studied her face. "Are you sure?"

She locked eyes with him. "I trust you completely. And we made a promise, didn't we? That we'd share our first kiss on our wedding night. So… I'm ready."

Sarvagya smiled, his heart full. "That's my girl."

He tilted her chin up and leaned in—

The moment their lips met, Tripti felt her nervousness melt away.

It was their first kiss, yet there was no hesitation—just warmth, longing, and the quiet hum of emotions they had held back for so long.

Sarvagya kissed her slowly, savoring every second. His hands cradled her face, his thumbs gently caressing her cheeks as he deepened the kiss. Tripti responded shyly at first, but as her fingers curled into his sherwani, pulling him closer, he felt her surrender.

He smiled against her lips. My wife is shy, but she wants me just as much as I want her.

When they finally pulled away, Tripti was breathless. She looked up at him with wide, starry eyes, her lips slightly parted.

Sarvagya chuckled, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "You okay, baby?"

Tripti nodded, cheeks burning. "You… you kiss really well."

He smirked. "You're pretty amazing yourself. But I'm not done yet."

Before she could protest, he scooped her up in his arms, carrying her effortlessly to the bed.

Tripti gasped. "Sarvagya! Put me down!"

He chuckled. "No way. My wife is in my arms for the first time. I'm going to enjoy every moment."

Gently, he laid her on the bed, his fingers never leaving her. He traced the contours of her face, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. His eyes softened.

"You're so beautiful, Tripti."

Her heart skipped a beat. She had always known Sarvagya was charming, but this… this was different. His gaze held something deeper—adoration, reverence, devotion.

He leaned down, kissing her again. But this time, it wasn't just a kiss. It was a promise.

He took his time, letting his lips explore hers, coaxing her to respond. Tripti sighed into his mouth, her hands trembling as they rested against his chest.

Sarvagya noticed. He pulled away slightly, his eyes searching hers. "Are you nervous?"

Tripti swallowed. "A little."

Sarvagya smiled and intertwined their fingers. "I'll go slow, okay? Just tell me if you're uncomfortable."

Tripti laughed and muttered "Fine. But no love bites! I can't hide them with makeup!"

Sarvagya groaned. "Please? Just a little one?"

Tripti sighed. "Fine. But you'll help me cover them tomorrow!"

He kissed the back of her hand and nodded.

He took a closer look at her expressions and said "And if you change your mind at any point, just say the word. I'll stop."

Her heart melted. How can he be so caring? So gentle?

Tears pricked her eyes, but she quickly blinked them away. Instead of answering, she cupped his face and kissed him again.

Sarvagya groaned softly, pressing his forehead against hers. "You'll be the death of me, baby."

Tripti giggled, her nervousness fading.

Slowly, Sarvagya helped her out of her heavy bridal jewelry, taking extra care not to hurt her. He unpinned her dupatta, letting it slide to the floor. When his fingers brushed her shoulders, she shivered, her breath hitching.

Sarvagya paused. "Cold?"

Tripti shook her head, whispering, "Just… overwhelmed."

Sarvagya kissed her temple. "Me too, baby. This… this is special."

Tripti nodded, her heart swelling with emotion.

As the night deepened, they lay together, exploring each other in soft whispers and gentle touches. There was no rush, no urgency—only love.

Sarvagya trailed kisses down her jaw, across her collarbone, savoring every inch of her. His fingers traced patterns on her skin, leaving goosebumps in their wake.

Tripti held onto him, feeling cherished, protected. She had never imagined intimacy could be this tender, this magical.

When he finally held her close, their bodies fitting together like a perfect puzzle, he whispered, "Are you okay, love?"

Tripti looked into his eyes and smiled. "I've never been happier."

Sarvagya exhaled, pressing a long, lingering kiss to her lips. "Me neither."

As they moved together, their breaths mingling, their hearts beating as one, Tripti realized—this wasn't just passion.

This was love. Pure, deep, and everlasting.

When they finally lay tangled in each other's arms, wrapped in warmth, Sarvagya pulled the blanket over them and kissed her forehead.

"Sleep, baby. You're mine now. Forever."

Tripti snuggled closer, sighing contentedly. "Forever."

As her eyes fluttered shut, Sarvagya held her tighter.

No matter what happens, I will protect you, Tripti. From this family, from this world, from everything.

Little did she know, the morning would bring new challenges.

But for now, the night belonged to them.
