Special class in another world

Chapter 3: Chapter 3

As I lay in bed, the blanket draped over me, I drifted off to sleep. But the sudden sound of the door closing jolted me awake. I sat up quickly, peering outside. It was still noon—a tricky time to attempt an escape. The servants would be busy during the day, and at night, the guards would be more alert. I needed a way out without being noticed.

Then it hit me. When I summon my personality, they appear right next to me. That meant I couldn't hide them unless I planned carefully. But if I prepared properly, it just might work.

With my plan in place, I decided to go back to sleep and wake up later for dinner. That way, I wouldn't risk dozing off at night while controlling my alternate self. Yes, this seemed like the best approach.

Satisfied with my strategy, I turned over and settled back into bed. My earlier act of exhaustion had gone unnoticed—perfect. As expected, a knock came at my door around lunchtime. After eating, I returned to bed. By dinner, another knock followed, and Mary, one of the servants, escorted me to the dining hall.

As we walked through the halls, I memorized the pathways, mentally mapping out how many doors led to the garden. If I could just get outside, I'd be one step closer to freedom. Then a thought struck me—why not simply ask the maids to let me walk in the garden? It would make things easier. But no—that wouldn't work. They'd see the light animation from my spell and likely follow me. That would be too risky.

With that realization, I entered the dining hall. A massive table stretched before me, half of it empty. At the center sat my father, a man with silver hair and golden eyes. To his right was my mother, who greeted me with a cheerful wave. On his left sat his second wife, a striking woman with red hair and matching eyes. She glanced at me occasionally, her expression unreadable.

Each woman had one son seated beside them. My full brother, Eric, had blue hair and golden eyes, dressed in standard noble attire. He was six years older than me and set to join the academy next year—the same academy where the MMO's main story took place. But I had no interest in the main storyline. What concerned me were the events after it.

Across from me sat my half-brother, Leo. Ten years my senior, he was home for summer break with two more years left at the academy. Both brothers exchanged a subtle nod, their gazes briefly assessing me. Clearly, neither considered me a threat to succession—not that I cared. In this world, personal power mattered far more than titles. Succession was meaningless.

As dinner began, my father spoke first, his voice tinged with concern. "I heard you slept the entire day, Axel. Are you feeling alright?"

I set down my utensils and replied calmly, "Yes, Father. I was just tired."

He nodded approvingly, likely pleased with my proper etiquette. Thanks to my adult mind, I remembered all the lessons drilled into me—things I hadn't cared about before since I was technically a child.

"It seems you're finally starting to follow the noble code," he remarked, his tone softening. "But never fall asleep in front of other nobles again. The queen is close to our family, so it's a minor issue this time, but always uphold the noble code."

No wonder I had memories of acting spoiled—this guy was always lenient with me.

Eric, however, looked visibly annoyed. From what the maids had told me, my parents had been much stricter with my brothers before I was born. I wondered what had changed.

Ignoring Eric's irritation, I shifted my focus to Leo. He ate with perfect composure, his every movement following the noble code precisely. Noticing my gaze, he gave me a brief smile before continuing his meal. I resumed eating as well, and dinner concluded with a prayer—not to gods, but to the empire itself.

In this world, people didn't worship deities. Instead, they revered the land—the Iron Crown Empire, the very nation that ruled over us. For us, it was a divine force, providing structure and stability.

As the meal ended, my father spoke again. "You may leave, Axel. There's something I need to discuss with the rest of the family."

I nodded and excused myself, heading straight for the back door and into the garden, making sure no one followed.

The so-called "garden" was absurdly large—practically a maze, filled with flowers, perfectly trimmed hedges, and towering bushes. At its center stood a fountain, where a carved water maiden poured water from a stone vessel. My childish instincts urged me to explore, but I stayed focused on my goal: reaching the outer wall.

After some time, I found it. Ducking behind a large bush, I prepared myself.

I opened the system:

Player: Axel von Reinhardt

Physical Age: 8

Class: Farmer | Level 1

Skills:

 Player Summon

 Mental Hub

 Conditional Teleportation

 Death Protection

I hovered over Player Summon and activated it. In the game, I would normally reset countless times for the perfect class, but here, I had only one shot.

"Oh RNG god, whoever you are, please bless me with a warrior or mage," I muttered as I rolled.

The wheel spun for a few seconds before stopping.

Spearman

Not bad—not the best, but definitely workable. It was one of the few classes that excelled in solo play.

For her personality traits, I selected three:

 - Loyalty – Ensures 100% obedience to my commands.

 - Pride – Increases EXP gain, a must-have for Spearmen in the late game.

 - Noble Heart – Grants 10% endurance and 5% lifesteal.

Then I designed her exactly as I envisioned.

Silvia. My first general.

Blue light surrounded me as I placed my left hand on the outer wall. In the game, a summoned general always appeared five meters to the left of the player. That meant she would materialize on the other side of the wall.

After five seconds, my Mental Hub activated automatically.

Suddenly, my vision split—I could feel what she felt. In this new body, I noticed an unfamiliar weight on my chest and a stronger frame. It was an odd sensation, but expected. The Spearman class was built for combat.

Then, a voice echoed in my mind:

"My lord, may I control my body?"

It was Silvia, my newly summoned general.

"Sure," I replied. Though she now controlled her body, I could still share her vision.

Silvia stood at 5'8", her silver hair tied in a high ponytail, with sharp blue eyes scanning her surroundings. She adjusted to her new form quickly, shifting her stance like a natural-born warrior.

She wore a black inner top beneath a long white overcoat that reached down to her knees, split in the back for mobility. White military-style stripes ran across the upper part of her coat, her rolled-up sleeves revealing metal armor covering her forearms. Black pants, a sturdy belt, and knee-high boots completed her outfit. In her grip was a simple yet refined spear—a polished wooden shaft topped with a sharp iron head. A red cloth tied just below the blade fluttered faintly in the breeze.

"For now, put some distance between yourself and the mansion," I instructed through our mental link. "Soldiers might grow suspicious if they see a warrior near the estate."

Silvia nodded and turned away from the wall. As she moved, her white coat caught the last rays of sunlight, and the red cloth on her spear trailed behind her like a streak of fire.

"Understood, my lord. I'll scout the town's surroundings. Do you prefer the main roads or a discreet route?"

"Discreet route," I replied.

She nodded once and set off toward the forest, her movements swift yet measured. Through her eyes, I observed the world beyond the estate—watching, learning, and waiting.

The first step of my plan had begun.
