Chapter 198: New Multi-Color!
As Kaguya Ōtsutsuki's voice faded, the scene before Izayoi changed dramatically.
Just an instant ago he had been hovering above the basin under a star‑filled sky and full moon, the night air biting cold. In the very next heartbeat he found himself roasted by blistering heat, surrounded on every side by sheer rock walls, with molten lava churning beneath his feet.
In the blink of an eye, the target had been dragged into a separate dimension. Even opponents of the same tier could not resist such space‑time power. Compared with it, the Yomotsu Hirasaka that could rend space itself was child's play.
This was the second exclusive dōjutsu of the Rinne‑Sharingan—Amenominaka—which even Madara Uchiha, after becoming the perfect Ten‑Tails jinchūriki, had still been unable to use.
Boom!
Before Izayoi could react, an ear‑splitting sonic boom exploded overhead.
Colossal purple pillars of light—each one shaped like a giant fist—howled toward him. Their speed was terrifying, their coverage vast; no flight, burrowing, or space‑time technique could evade them in time.
Sharing Black Zetsu's memories, Kaguya knew just how sharp Izayoi's tongue was and, being poor at words herself, she wasted none. Her opening move was Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists—a world‑shaking, offense‑and‑defense‑in‑one technique in which every blow was lethal.
"Mother, stop!"
Again Izayoi had no time to respond before Black Zetsu's anxious warning rang out.
Kaguya's eyes flickered with doubt.
Before she could ask, Izayoi's lips curled into a faint smile. He clapped his hands, palms facing the onrushing fists. Instantly the tracking fists liquefied into streams of violet fluid that flowed through his palms and were absorbed into his body.
Kaguya's pupils contracted.
"Now, Mother!" Black Zetsu urged.
Startled into action, Kaguya opened a rift to Yomotsu Hirasaka behind her: a black crack stretched wide into a massive dark portal. She vaulted backward through it and re‑emerged some distance behind Izayoi, hurling a gray bone spear at his back.
The bone flew like an arrow, whistling through the air. Had Izayoi not been able to teleport, he could never have dodged while absorbing the Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists. Since he had just arrived in this new lava space, he'd had no chance to mark it with Flying Thunder God seals, nor spare a hand for Heavenly Transfer Technique—making this, in Black Zetsu's eyes, a perfect opening.
Yet just as Black Zetsu thought Izayoi doomed, a thin black seam appeared behind the youth. It split sideways into a tiny dark window—more a black "pane" than a door. The bone passed through this window, and an identical window opened above Kaguya's head; the gray spear shot back out toward her.
Unflustered, Kaguya's Byakugan foresaw the attack. She drifted backward and let the bone sail past, into the roiling lava lake below, where it petrified the molten rock it touched from fiery red to stony gray. The surrounding magma then erupted in fury—columns of molten fire blasted upward, searing enough to vaporize anything in their path.
This was Kaguya's All‑Killing Ash Bones enhanced by Kekkei Mōra: Assimilation with Nature—she could meld with the lava itself, becoming part of it, or bend the natural elements around her into weapons. Even if Izayoi's ocular power could absorb Kekkei Mōra, it could never swallow the raw force of nature—just like Six Paths Sage Art, elemental assaults could still wound a Ten‑Tails jinchūriki or a Sage‑level foe.
Indeed, Izayoi could not simply ignore the magma pillars. Yet he also refrained from morphing Truth‑Seeking Balls into defense; that would leave him passive and offer Kaguya chances for a decisive strike. Against the progenitor of chakra, who wielded both Yomotsu Hirasaka and Amenominaka, the balls were hardly a trump card—she had many ways to bypass or shatter them.
Instead, a wooden branch sprouted from Izayoi's body, forming a hand that gathered a golden glow into a bead‑sized sphere. In the next moment the sphere became a metal pellet engraved with a Flying Thunder God formula—and vanished. So did Izayoi, reappearing behind Kaguya together with the pellet. He thrust out his palm; a golden beam shaped like a fist slammed into her back and sent her hurtling away.
"Gah—!"
Kaguya coughed blood, her body twisting grotesquely. Without hesitation she activated Amenominaka and disappeared from the lava dimension—but Izayoi's Rinne‑Tenseigan tracked her unblinkingly.
A golden clock materialized before his eye; its minute hand turned, and fragments of images flew outward, passing through his body. He saw Kaguya reappear in an ice‑snow dimension, her wounds knitting at astonishing speed while she conversed with Black Zetsu in shock; saw her return to the lava space, slice Izayoi into the hyper‑gravity dimension with Amenominaka, then finish him with All‑Killing Ash Bones.
That was Kaguya's next five minutes of the future. Yet by seeing it, Izayoi had already altered it. If Kaguya were still in sight, he could watch her future again and it would differ from what he'd just witnessed.
So he decided to turn her plan against her.
Another branch sprouted, quickly shaping into a wood clone brimming with chakra. Izayoi himself opened Yomotsu Hirasaka and entered the twisting space‑time corridor that linked countless pocket realms. He soon located the hyper‑gravity world that had crushed his arrogance earlier. Hovering outside its warped doorway, he summoned his status panel to inspect two newly‑ascended entries:
God of Taijutsu (Multi-Color)
Chakra Control (Multi-Color)
A satisfied smile tugged at his lips. "Just as I guessed—no wasted points."
From the moment he mastered Miketsu, Izayoi had foreseen this. By devouring a true Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists, he would instantly master the technique himself—evolving his Taijutsu Master and Chakra Control traits to Multi-color tier. The upgrade vastly boosted his innate talent; henceforth, his taijutsu progress would be like cheating, potentially even creating Kekkei Mōra‑level martial arts.
Already he understood the principles behind Seventh Gate Daytime Tiger and Eighth Gate Evening Elephant. Without opening the Eight Gates or using chakra constructs, he—with his Eight Trigrams Grand Taijutsu—could now unleash real air‑pressure cannons that replicated those moves. Someday he might even develop a life‑safe version of Night Guy that warped space.
That was the terror of a Multi-color God of Taijutsu paired with a Multi-color Transcendent Aptitude.
While Izayoi reviewed his traits, Kaguya re‑materialized in the ice‑snow realm. Her wounds knotted back together far faster than Madara's ever could—his rapid healing was merely the lower bound of Regeneration (Multi-Color), nowhere near its ceiling. Even Kaguya herself might not have reached that ceiling, yet her immortality was undeniable: as long as she had chakra, she could not truly die.
Still, the unkillable goddess now panted in shock. "Impossible! How can he use the clan's Eighty Gods Vacuum Fists? My memories show he couldn't perform it physically."
"It must be his eye technique, Mother," Black Zetsu analyzed coolly. "When Uchiha gained Hagoromo's power, he crudely swung white slashes; Izayoi absorbed those slashes and mastered them. Now he's likely done the same with your Eighty Gods fists. His dōjutsu not only absorbs energy—it assimilates it."
"That makes sense," Kaguya muttered. "But Eighty Gods won't work, neither will Needle‑Hair. Yomotsu Hirasaka, Ash Bones, Amenominaka—none of them can finish him. What should I do next?"
Ever her mobile brain, Black Zetsu suggested, "Mother, remember the hyper‑gravity space within Amenominaka? Even you can hardly endure it; that brat surely can't, and he doesn't know such a place exists. We can use that knowledge gap: shift him there, then bombard him with Ash Bones and rift attacks. In that realm he can't replicate the combination techniques he just used."
"Excellent idea!" Kaguya's eyes lit up.
She returned to the lava world and forcibly warped herself and Izayoi's wood clone into the hyper‑gravity space. Lacking battle experience, she failed to notice the clone's chakra had already dwindled.
The instant the scenery changed, crushing gravity slammed them to the ground. Kaguya could barely move her head, knees, and hands; the clone couldn't move even its head, already at its limit to keep its form.
Unaware, Kaguya extended both hands and fired two gravity‑defying bone arrows toward the clone, then opened a small Yomotsu Hirasaka gate and shot two more, creating a pincer from above. Unless the clone could retreat—which it could not—all hits were certain. The four arrows struck home; petrification and cracks spread across the clone's body.
"We did it! Victory!" Black Zetsu cheered.
"Black Zetsu, attach yourself to him—don't let him die," Kaguya urged. "I need that body. Feed it to the Ten‑Tails, let the beast revert to the Divine Tree and absorb the planet again. A second Chakra Fruit will put me beyond even Isshiki or the clan's main house."
"Understood, Mother." Black Zetsu oozed from her sleeve like a living shadow and crawled toward the clone. He had moved only a short distance when a black portal opened above Kaguya. A golden beam shaped like a massive fist poured out, engulfing her and shaking the hyper‑gravity world to its core.
"Mother!" Black Zetsu cried in terror.
What he saw next crushed his hopes further. The golden pillar rained down for several minutes, shattering the ground beneath him. Dust, energy, and collapsing debris swallowed and pulverized him. When the beam and portal finally vanished, the self‑regenerating Black Zetsu slowly re‑formed—alone in the vast hyper‑gravity space.
