Chapter 314: Gluttony
The yells of the men grew louder and louder with every cut to their bodies. A puddle of blood had formed beneath them. Silva made sure that their cuts wouldn't kill them but would only cause immense pain.
The cutting continued until both men couldn't scream anymore. Their entire pain senses were already overwhelmed, no new cut could make them feel different now.
But they were only five hundred cuts in, and Silva meant it when he said he would be giving them a thousand.
"We are hardly done here. Why would you guys reach a breaking point already?" he asked as he pulled out two healing potions. He walked to them and force fed them, the liquid inside the bottle sliding down their throats slowly.
He ensured that every drop got into their mouths. The healing factor immediately got to work, rebuilding and fixing their bodies at a crazy pace.
In less than a minute, all their wounds, their trauma, everything was healed. When the men saw their bodies restored and the sly smile plastered on Silva's face, they fell into another round of torture.
Torture wasn't all about physical pain. It went deeper, hitting the psychological level making sure the person felt hopeless, then giving them some hope before dashing it to the ground again.
It was a rinse and repeat cycle that continued until the mind completely broke.
"Please, we beg you! Stop, you monster!" the slim man yelled. A tendril rose to his mouth and slashed it. The cutting continued for another hour. The gruesome screams grew louder and louder until they reached the point where the men became numb again. But now, the thousand cuts were complete.
Silva took out the potion again, slowly force-feeding both of them, ensuring every drop got in. The healing factor kicked in, and they healed up very fast again.
Their faces held horror, their eyes trembled in fear. They looked at Silva the definition of evil. He was the devil, but the devil was in no way done with them. Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire
"You both have finished phase one. Lucky you, you managed to survive, and we still have a few hours before dawn.
But sadly, I am not done yet. There's much more I'd like to do. I want to test how resistant the both of you are to heat," Silva said.
[Gluttony has not been fed. You will soon enter depraved mode.]
A notification that Silva hadn't seen in a long while popped up. He had completely forgotten about Gluttony.
He normally consumed souls from the Gates of Hell to satiate it, but he had neglected it for a while and hadn't collected any souls recently.
He tried to take souls from Hell's Gate, but then he realized he had spent them all. There was nothing inside anymore.
"Oh shit, I haven't used Hell's Gate and Gluttony in a while. I don't have any souls left. Shit," Silva muttered. He looked at the two men. He couldn't take their souls now that would be against what he agreed with Ranin.
"Sigh, I'll have to find a way out of this," Silva said.
"You should head to Devil Rabbit Field," Mind Two spoke to him.
"Yeah, drop a clone here and head there fast," another mind chipped in.
"Alright." Silva brought out one of his clones. "Take care of their torture," he said, then spread his wings, shooting through the roof at full speed.
He shot through the air, creating a massive sonic boom, traveling faster than the speed of sound.
[You have two minutes until depraved mode.]
The system warned him again. Silva flew harder, pushing himself to a crazy speed. He reached the field in less than a minute and went straight into it.
He landed like a rocket, causing a massive crater and blasting debris and dust all around.
"Hell's Domain," he cast, not wasting a second. His eyes were turning red and glowing he was getting closer to depravity.
The domain spread out immediately, covering ten kilometers. The devil rabbits all felt the disturbance and rushed out, charging at him all at once.
Silva felt their speed wasn't fast enough, so he raised his hand, and all the rabbits flew into the air and shot toward him at twice the speed.
He took out a dagger and slashed his arm immediately. "Hell's Gate," he called out, and the gate opened, adding a suction force to pull the rabbits in faster. The rabbits fell into the gate in large numbers.
Silva was slowly losing his sanity. His eyes glowed more and more, but he still had some time. As the rabbits entered, he cast Gluttony immediately, and it started consuming from the Gates of Hell.
Finally, he felt relief slowly wash over him. He continued until he had taken in all the rabbits. His Gluttony was finally satisfied, and he had enough souls stored for later.
He waited a bit before removing the domain to ensure the rabbits outside would take some time before returning to their holes.
After about ten minutes, he dropped the domain. Once he was sure the rabbits had returned to their holes, he was about to fly away but then he spotted a black figure in the distance, looking right at him with glowing red eyes.
Silva didn't move. He didn't feel any threat from the figure, but he kept his guard up, watching it closely.
"Stop listening to Ophelia. She will lead you to death."
Silva heard a voice directly in his head.
"How did you get into my head?" Silva asked.
"Your defense is strong, but not strong enough. I am known for entering where I should not. But that is not important. Ophelia is using you, and she will be the end of you," the voice said.
"Who are you?" Silva asked.
"That is not important. You should listen to me," the voice replied.
"I doubt that is how things work." Silva said.
"You are a stubborn one." He said
