MTLNOVEL Chapter 14: Spider Silk Ring
Whoosh!
A strand of spider silk shot toward Zane.
The boss hadn't noticed him—it was just an attack thrown out at random.
Zane's expression changed as he quickly sidestepped to dodge.
Thankfully, he was still in stealth mode, greatly increasing his speed. He narrowly avoided the silk and swiftly dove into a pile of bones in the corner.
Peering through the gaps between the bones, he saw the massive web had completely trapped everyone, rendering them immobile.

Zane silently celebrated his luck—dodging at the last moment had saved his life.
At that moment, the Venomous Spotted Spider, having expended its skill, had lost a significant portion of the markings on its body.
Its energy appeared severely drained—Web Trap had taken a huge toll on it.
Then, it turned its hatred toward the trapped players and lunged forward.
The members of Domination Guild had no way to escape.
To make matters worse, the silk was laced with poison, causing their health to steadily drain while inflicting negative status effects.
The slaughter began!
Enraged, the Venomous Spotted Spider used its razor-sharp legs to butcher the trapped players, including Silver Spear.
"Damn it! If you had this skill, why didn't you use it earlier?!"
Silver Spear cursed furiously before dying.
If he had known the boss was this powerful, he wouldn't have underestimated it—he would've waited for more people before engaging!

Now, Zane was the only one left.

Zane grinned wickedly.
Just as the attack was about to land, his figure vanished—instantaneously reappearing behind the boss.

The poisoned Shadow Blade glowed black with hints of blue, radiating deadly energy.

In comparison, the pitiful poison damage—reduced by the boss's high poison resistance—looked almost embarrassing.

Zane chuckled.
The near-dead boss roared in anger and fired a strand of silk at him.

Zane vanished, and the attack missed.
Seeing this, fear flickered in the boss's eyes.
An enemy it couldn't see was the most terrifying kind.
It took several steps back before suddenly turning to flee.
"You think you can run?"
Still in stealth, Zane shadowed it closely.
Fifteen seconds later, Backstab's cooldown ended.

After picking up the loot, he swiftly found a dark corner, hiding behind the cave's rocks.
Sure enough, footsteps soon echoed in the cave.

When they saw the scene before them, they froze.

The group scouted the area, but after confirming there was nothing valuable left, they left in disappointment.

Scanning the area, he noticed figures in the distance. This seemed to be the cave's deepest point—there were no more bosses.
With that, Zane entered stealth and slipped away.
On his way out, he spotted a group of Domination Guild members rushing back.
Soon, an enraged scream echoed through the cave—
"Bastard! Who stole my boss while I was gone?!"
From the shadows, Zane smirked.
"Not gonna lie... it was me."
With a devilish chuckle, he vanished into the darkness.
