Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Poacher Hunting (1)
(Jayden's PoV)
As I was checking and thinking about what I could do with the new skill I got, Master Vos returned to the group after he spoke with the Wookies.
"Sigh, they are not happy, but they trust the Jedi enough. So, they are giving a chance. As long as the monster stays here and causes no more damage, they won't try to hunt it and would even help find its missing egg and the poachers who dared to hunt on their lands", Vos said.
It's the best outcome I expected with the Wookies.
Though I feel that the Jedi Order has to be cleansed a bit, in some places, the Order's reputation is still intact and helpful. It was the reason why I didn't plan on having too much contact with Wookies before the war.
What I need is a place where the locals can be considered neutral or have no contact with either the Republic or the Jedi.
If the Order has the best reputation, then the news of my works would be swiftly sent to the Order.
If the Order has a worse reputation, then they wouldn't accept me. It would be too much work. I may have a decade, but I have to cover an entire galaxy full of hundreds of systems and thousands of planets and moons.
It won't be easy to do so.
I intend to concentrate on worlds that wouldn't attract any attention to my presence or worlds that neither Sith, Jedi, nor the Republic pay much attention to, but there are certain exceptions like Naboo.
Naboo is my Home World, the planet where I was born. So, my presence there wouldn't attract too much attention. Places like that are okay, but I can't do things on planets like Kashyyyk or Alderaan or the home worlds of the future CIS.

"Ah, that's good to hear", my master spoke.
I can sense that my master spoke those words for my sake. I have made a bond with the creature, though it was rather flimsy for now.
Breaking a bond is easy, but building is not, and she probably didn't want me to experience whatever shit that comes if the bond breaks.
"So, what to do now, master?" Secura asked Vos.
"Jayden, speak with the mon...creature to stop its advancement, and in return, the natives here have agreed to find a way to retrieve its child", Vos spoke to me.
I nodded and relayed that to the serpent. It hissed, clearing, not agreeing 100%, but it did agree, which I relayed to the others.
After making sure that the serpent wouldn't act, we left the area.
"So, what's our first step?" I asked.
"Where the problem started", Vos replied.
Seeing the confusion on mine and Secura's faces, Vos explained, "We are going to the place from where the poachers stole the egg in the first place and find anything there that is related to the poachers".
Then it clicked in my mind.
Vos has a rare ability to see the memories of the objects that he touches. He can see what has happened around it in the past few days. There are limitations on how long into the past he can see and how much.
Even if he can see two days into the past, that doesn't mean he can remember everything that happened in those two days, only fragments, which would be enough to give him a clear picture.
Of course, it was not as low as two days, but I believe there was no specific date, as it would depend on the object and possibly the level of contamination. This was my opinion, but to be sure I have to ask Master Vos, but I felt that it was too impolite to ask such a thing.
Everyone has their own secrets. I have many such secrets, which would only increase as time goes on, until the day of reveal, when I would show the galaxy what I am really capable of, well, partially. I won't show them everything, like multiplied resources or status panel or a space storage ability that I have.
Those are personal, which I don't intend to let others know about.
Asking about other people's secrets felt a bit hypocritical for me. So, I didn't ask anything and silently followed behind.
"So, did you see where the theft happened?' Vos asked me.
Oh, I forgot about that. For him to do his magic, we have to find the place first. I am the only one who saw the memories of the Serpent. So, I have to first take them to the place where it all started, but I don't know anything about Kashyyyk, but when I saw a Wookie arriving, I understood.
I am not the guide, the wookie is. I just have to describe the area where this happened, and the wookie would take us there if possible.
Even though this is their world, not all areas are accessible to them. There are other creatures that are present in the world that can threaten their lives, even with the modern technology wookies possess.
Well, whether he can take it or not, I described everything that I saw.
The place I saw has two very tall trees that grew in a spiral manner. They appeared even taller than the usual tall trees of Kashyyyk, and they stood on a what looked like a Blue Mountain. From the top, one could see a lot of Kashyyyk.
I even described the leaves of the trees around. Though all trees appear to be of the same species, that was not the case. Sure, there is one tree species that is dominant, but even it mutates into a thousand various species depending on the location where it grew.
Once I described what I saw, the Wookie growled or something like that, but I didn't understand what it was. I need to learn a few languages to understand them easily.
"Good, the Wookie recognises the place you describe. Let's move, he would take us there", Vos said, and we mounted the bikes and followed the wookie.
