Stranded on an island with beautiful females

Chapter 10: Chapter 10

I was munching on a coconut when Winford finally came back after shaping his stick.

Zoey handed him a sealed coconut, unlike mine, which she had already cracked open for me.

Winford grabbed a stone and tried to open his coconut, but he was pretty worn out from working with wood. It took him a while to finally crack it open.

Once he did, he devoured it like he hadn't eaten in days. Doing all that physical work first thing in the morning was tough for someone used to a cushy life.

After a bit, Winford looked over at Zoey and me, noticing we were feeding each other. He smirked and said, "You two are really laying it on thick this morning."

Zoey got all flustered and buried her face in her coconut. I turned to Winford and joked, "Hey, don't be jealous just because you don't have someone feeding you. We are a family."

Winford gave me a look that made me squirm a bit. "Oh, really? Zoey opened your coconut, but didn't even open mine. Some family treatment, huh?"

Zoey, already shy, turned beet red. She didn't expect Winford to notice that little detail. She quickly pretended to be busy and headed back to our shelter, closing the door behind her.

I realized she was embarrassed and wanted some alone time, so I let her be.

I grinned at Winford and said, "She's just a bit shy."

Winford nodded and said, "You're one lucky guy. I've been around for decades, traveled all over, even seen international model competitions, but I've never met a woman as beautiful and devoted as her."

I nodded, not saying much. It was crazy to think that just a few days ago, Zoey and I were strangers.

As we chatted and ate our coconuts, Winford seemed to have a lot on his mind. He hadn't had anyone to talk to for a couple of days, so he was really letting it all out.

From our conversation, I learned that Winford was in his forties. He'd dropped out of school as a teenager to learn pottery. Thanks to a great mentor and some natural talent, he mastered the craft in just two years and started making money.

After five years as a potter, he saved enough to start his own business. His pottery skills made his business a hit, and it grew quickly.

But as the company expanded, he had less time for pottery. He loved it, though, so he'd still dabble in it when he could. As he got older, his energy waned, and he eventually stopped, but his skills never left him.

By the time Winford finished his story, we were done with our coconuts. We were both a bit tired from the morning's work, so I suggested we take a break and then figure out how to fish later.

Winford agreed and headed to his shelter. I opened the door to ours and walked in.

Zoey had finished her coconut and was playing with some shells she'd picked up. When she saw me, she asked softly, "Did Winford leave?"

I couldn't help but laugh at how cautious she looked.

Hearing me laugh, Zoey got a bit annoyed and playfully tapped my chest. "Why are you laughing at me? I'm doing this for you. Laugh again, and no more coconuts for you!"

Seeing her annoyed face, I decided to stop teasing. I hugged her and sat down. "I was just chatting with Winford. He was saying how beautiful you are, that you've got the looks and figure to be a top model or a superstar."

Zoey adjusted her hair, looking a bit unsure. "Are you serious?"

I nodded earnestly.

Seeing my serious face, Zoey seemed to drift into thought. "Actually, my family wanted me to be an actress, but I heard about the casting couch stuff, especially how it targets girls who look like me. So, I didn't go that route."

I nodded, then asked, "So why did you become a flight attendant?"

Zoey thought for a moment. "I love freedom. As a flight attendant, I get to fly everywhere, not stuck in one place, experiencing different things, and enjoying the natural scenery."

Seeing her dreamy look, I patted her head. She started opening up, sharing stories from her childhood and her hobbies.

After a while, Zoey looked at me seriously. "You know, at first, I really disliked you because you forced me to be with you. But now, I think I've fallen for you."

She hugged my arm and buried her head in my chest. I hugged her back.

Suddenly, an idea hit me. "Hey, this island probably doesn't have a name. Why don't we name it?"

Zoey looked up, her big eyes shining. "What should we call it?"

After thinking for a bit, I said, "How about Resurge Island?"

Zoey thought for a moment. "Why Resurge Island?"

I explained. "Because our lives here are completely different from our past. It's like a new beginning, a resurgence."

Zoey nodded. "Okay, from now on, it's Resurge Island. Let's go explore!"

Full of enthusiasm, Zoey pulled me along to explore our newly named island.

When we stepped out, everything looked the same, but Zoey was excited, carefully observing everything as if to remember it all.

Winford, not far away, heard the commotion and crawled out of his shelter, looking puzzled.

He came over and asked, "What's got you two so excited?" I told him, "Zoey and I named the island Resurge Island."

Winford pondered for a moment and muttered, "Resurge Island, that's a good name."

With his rich life experience, he didn't need me to explain the meaning. Learning that the island now had a name, he also felt a sense of excitement.

After surviving a plane crash and landing on this uninhabited island, there wasn't much sense of security. But now, with the island having a name, there was a sudden sense of belonging and increased

security, which made us all a bit excited.
