"No! My Lightless Hell!"

Xuan Youxuan roared and charged together with his seven Demon Bodies like he had gone crazy.

However, the ripples kept increasing the distance between himself and the hands. They looked like they were right in front of him, but were really as far away as the horizon.

"I accept your gift, city lord Xuan. No need to see us off."

A resounding laugh came from the space.

"You cannot run! This is the City of No Return and my domain! None of you will escape!" Xuan Youxuan's eyes were stretched so wide his eyeballs could have fallen out of his eye sockets. He roared at the top of his lungs, "No law, no sky! No return even for gods and demon! Seal!"

The City of No Return shook, and pillars of flames shot into the sky from the four cardinal directions. They were black, white, red and purple in color.

The black flame was as dark and silent as the night. Wronged souls could be seen wailing in it.

The white flame was cold and foggy. Bones could be seen bobbing up and down within.

The red flame was red as blood and hot like fire. The stench it was giving off was positively unbearable.

The purple flame was demonic and anomalous. Screams of all kinds could be heard from it.

The next moment, the four twisting pillars of flames transformed into four god demons that were easily several kilometers tall. Their feet shook the earth, and their heads lifted the sky. Their faces looked as savage as their auras were scary.

"Roar!"

The god demons roared at the same time, and the four flames spread out from their feet. They crisscrossed heaven and earth like ribbons and trapped everyone and everything in the City of No Return within.

All living creatures within the cage including the Strangers began losing their vigor. The plants were losing their life force as well.

The depleting vigor and life force were being absorbed into the four flames as fuel. They became even hotter and engulfed the entire city entirely.

This was Xuan Youxuan's second trump card, the No Return God Demon Great Seal.

Supposedly, not even gods and demons could walk away from the No Return God Demon Great Seal.

The No Return God Demon Great Seal was an ancient array and restriction. It was a legacy of the Realmless Demon Lord just like the Lightless Hell.

The No Return God Demon Great Seal could be used as both an offensive and suppression tool. All living things within its area of effect would be sealed and suppressed. Escape was impossible, and the victims' vigor and vitality would be converted into the restriction's fuel. It didn't take long before they were drained of all vigor and vitality and killed.

Hence the saying, "Not return even for gods and demons."

Frankly, in terms of potency alone, the No Return God Demon Great Seal was deadlier than even the Lightless Hell. Even a Sage would not be able to break free immediately. Assuming that there were plenty of sacrifices on the array, then the No Return God Demon Great Seal would grow exponentially more powerful.

Although this would kill most of the people in the City of No Return and very possibly destroy the city itself, although the losses he would incur and the consequences he would suffer could only be described as severe, he was beyond caring at this point.

The two thieves must die. He must retrieve the Lightless Hell. Today, not even the almighty god would be able to change his mind!

"Are you that reluctant to part ways with us, city lord Xuan?" It was at this moment a clear, sonorous voice rang. It was warm, soothing, and confident as if the speaker wasn't unsettled or threatened in the slightest.

"Alas, all things must come to an end eventually. Just let it go, city lord Xuan."

The palm clenched into a fist, took aim at the sky, and slowly thrust forward.

There exists a world within the span of an inch. Countless lives could end in the blink of an eye.

The fist moved soundlessly, but it was more impactful than it would have been otherwise.

Qi scattered the constellations, and intent shook the firmaments. The Five Phases spun wildly, and yin and yang came to an end.

The cage of four colors covering the sky shook and twisted violently under the punch. In the end, it collapsed without a sound.

When the sky collapsed, and the fist intent abruptly spread out and threw the surrounding energies into complete disarray. Somehow, it had transformed into currents of chaos.

The currents of chaos surged toward the four god demons like a river of heaven. It instantly engulfed them and ripped them into pieces.

With that, the No Return God Demon Great Seal was destroyed.

"Pwack!"

As Xuan Youxuan's energies were connected to the great array, he suffered a terrible backlash from the destruction of the No Return God Demon Great Seal. Four of his Demon Bodies exploded to smithereens, another three looked like they might collapse at any moment, and he himself had thrown up a mouthful of blood.

"This is impossible! Ahhh!"

Xuan Youxuan had lost all of his confidence and composure, elegance and refinement at this point. All he had now was hideousness and hysteria, despair and disbelief.

The next moment, his shout was overwhelmed by a sudden explosion. A chaos storm had engulfed the city, distorting the sky, destroying the buildings, and annihilating some of the residents of the City of No Return instantly and without resistance.

Even those fighting in the sky such as Wei Duanliu and Yuan Budong were forced into a temporary ceasefire. They ran like hell, unwilling to make contact with the current of chaos even a little.

Just when it looked like the City of No Return and everyone in the city were about to perish, a bell chime suddenly echoed.

The bell chime was grandiose and clear. It actually overwhelmed the deafening, endless explosions.

The storm of force subsided into nothing, the currents of chaos became weak and harmless, the distorted energies and destroyed earthly qi returned to the Five Phases, yin and yang was restored, the sky was split into clear and murky, the earth was divided into activity and inactivity, and order was restored to all things.

It all happened in just the blink of an eye. Before, the city was tethering on the brink of total annihilation. Now, it was as if spring had graced the land.

A cool breeze blew, kicking up a bit of dust and causing a drizzle to fall from the sky. It was soft and soothing like a dream.

Feeling the rainwater washing away the soot on their faces, the survivors finally snapped back to reality and cheered. Some of them were even weeping with joy.

After all, they survived.

They thought they were dead for sure. They thought they had crossed the point of no return. And yet someone or something had done the impossible and pulled them back to safety. How could they not be overjoyed?

Most of them were too busy basking in the joy and happiness of having survived. They did not know what had happened just now.

Wei Duanliu, Wu Shengshui, Yuan Budong and the other elite warriors were different though. They knew exactly what had happened.

That was why they were all gripped by deep shock and reverence!
