Striker Genesis: E.O.S (Evolution of Strikers)

Chapter 4: Chapter 3: The Will to Fight

Renji stood alone in his territory. His legs trembled. His heart pounded. But his eyes stayed sharp.

He didn't have time to rest.

More players were coming. He could see them gathering at the edge of the field. Their eyes were hungry. They wanted his spot.

Renji tightened his grip on the ball. "Come on," he whispered.

The first challenger stepped in. A tall, muscular boy with short black hair. His steps were slow and confident.

"You think you're tough?" the boy sneered.

Renji said nothing. He waited.

The boy charged.

Renji moved. He dodged left, then right. The boy's kick missed by inches.

Renji countered fast. He shot forward and struck the ball. It sailed past the boy and hit the goal marker.

A chime sounded.

"Renji Arata — Goal Scored."

The boy stared in shock.

Renji's voice was calm. "Next?"

The crowd hesitated. But another player stepped forward. Then another. And another.

Renji fought them all.

He was fast. He was focused. His body ached, but he didn't stop.

Every goal he scored pushed him forward. Every victory fueled his fire.

But then came the scarred boy.

He was back. And this time, his eyes were filled with rage.

"You got lucky before," the scarred boy growled. "It won't happen again."

Renji felt fear creep in. But he pushed it down.

"I don't need luck," Renji said. "I have my will."

The whistle blew.

The scarred boy attacked hard and fast. His kicks were powerful. His moves were wild. Renji blocked one strike, then another. But the force pushed him back.

"Give up!" the scarred boy shouted.

Renji's breath was heavy. His muscles burned.

But he didn't give up.

He remembered why he was here.

He remembered his dream.

"I won't stop," Renji said. "Not now. Not ever."

With a burst of speed, Renji dodged the next attack. He spun and struck the ball.

The ball soared.

It hit the goal marker.

The chime rang.

"Renji Arata — Goal Scored."

The scarred boy fell to his knees.

Renji stood tall.

Because no matter how hard the fight…

He would never stop.

And this was only the beginning.
