STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 290: Recruitment for the 10th Zone's organisation!

Wilderness:

Jeremy Night was shocked. His senses were right. There was something or someone standing behind him.

"Could it be a Tier-6 Beast?" Jeremy thought.

"Jeremy Night, I have been waiting to meet you."

A beautiful female voice came from behind. Hearing that, Jeremy Night was stunned. Then he realized there was no killing intent from the other person.

He turned around to look at her. He saw a middle-aged woman with black hair and eyes, dressed in a combat uniform.

A hint of nervousness appeared in his eyes.

He hadn't seen this woman before, but his instincts warned him that she could be strong. Maybe a powerful high-tier beast tamer?

"Who are you?" Jeremy asked. His whole body was tense. Even if he wanted to escape now, it would be impossible.

"At ease," Gisela uttered. But her heart was in turmoil. She found that the kid was a Tier-2 Beast Tamer. Not the Tier-1 limit.

She found the aura was stable. Which meant he broke through some time ago.

Jeremy was stunned. Then he recalled reading the exact phrase in the library. It meant to get relaxed.

"Sigh!"

A sigh left his mouth. His turbulent heart calmed down.

He then looked around the surroundings before looking at her.

"Can you tell me now?" Jeremy asked.

A hint of approval flashed in Gisela's eyes. From the very moment she had seen him, she had started assessing him.

Seeing how quickly he was able to cool down his nerves, she was impressed.

She then said, "I'm Gisela Reyes. I'm a Tier-7 Beast Tamer and the 10th Team Leader of the Shadow Moon Organisation from the 10th Zone."

Jeremy felt a thunderclap strike his head. He was petrified on the spot. The information was too big and shocking to digest.

He had always been fascinated by the top 10 zones and the people living there. But he didn't expect to meet someone from there today.

Gisela smiled and continued to observe him. She let him soak in the moment.

About 5 minutes later,

Jeremy's expression turned serious. He could confirm that she was not hostile, so he ruled out her name from the Goldcorp people.

He thought her introduction was true.

"Since you seem to be ready now, I'll tell you my purpose for visiting," she started, explaining how they obtained Jeremy Night's profile from the discarded genius list.

Then she described her organisation's plan to recruit some of the suitable talent from the discarded profiles.

A few minutes later,

Jeremy's heart started to beat faster in excitement. Someone wanted to recruit him from his dreamland. Though she was not from the top 5 zones, joining the 10th Zone's organisation was not bad.

Jeremy started to consider his options. He couldn't reveal anything about the lifeline beast; otherwise, it could cause unnecessary problems for Lord Martha.

Gisela Reyes was standing with her arms crossed. She raised her eyebrows in surprise. She thought the kid would agree on the spot.

But now she saw that he was considering his options.

"Don't tell me he has offers from other forces," she thought.

Jeremy raised his head and asked, "I'm more than happy to join an organisation in the top 10 zones. But I have one condition."

Hearing that, Gisela eased her eyebrows. She was curious about the condition and didn't take offense.

So she asked, "What is it?"

Jeremy took a deep breath before replying, "I can't reveal anything about my lifeline beast. It should be confidential. If you can agree to that condition, then I'll join your organisation."

"What?" Gisela uttered in shock.

She was starting to realize why the kid's information was incomplete. It was done purposely. If the kid had complete information, then his name could have been on the genius list.

"What's going on?" she asked.

Because it was nearly impossible to conceal some information, for example, the information about the lifeline beast.

Only after knowing about a beast tamer's abilities and their lifeline beast could any organisation assign a job to them.

"The lifeline beast was given to me by someone from the Human Alliance. I can't say anything about it," Jeremy replied.

"Human Alliance," she said.

Her eyes flashed with surprise.

For a second, she didn't know what to say. She knew the founder wouldn't agree to such a condition. She hadn't expected the kid to put her in a difficult spot.

She really wanted him to join her team. But she couldn't help but wonder; if someone wanted his lifeline beast to remain confidential, then it could mean only one thing.

This kid's lifeline beast's bloodline must be high. For his safety, they had kept it confidential. It wouldn't be a problem once he crossed Tier-4 level.

"Kid, you have put me in a difficult position. Your talent is real. But it's hard to convince others about your situation. If you want to keep it a secret, then you could miss out on many chances," Gisela said in a solemn tone.

She knew the kid had already missed one chance at the Genius List. She didn't know whether it was okay to tell him.

"I know. But I'm firm in my stance," he replied.

Jeremy's voice sounded resolute, but he was getting nervous inside. He had dreamed about going to the top 10 zones.

But the real reason behind his condition was something else. His unknown beast egg had yet to hatch. If others knew about it, then the consequences would be disastrous.

Even his identity as the son of the City Governor wouldn't be able to save him.

At the same time, Gisela Reyes fell into deep thought. She recalled the information recorded in those files, which she got from the underground network.

It didn't mention anything about Jeremy's lifeline beast. It was reported that no one had seen him summoning his lifeline beast.

"How could that be possible?" she thought.

She knew about the underground network's information-gathering abilities. They must have collected news from university students as well.

If no one had seen him using the lifeline beast, then there could only be one explanation. The kid was really keeping his secret.

"What kind of lifeline beast is it?" she wondered in her heart.

She was clear on one thing: this kid's ability to fight across levels was inseparable from his lifeline beast.

Gisela Reyes was going to make a crazy decision, one that could anger the Shadow Moon Organisation.
