STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer

Chapter 389: Part 2: New assignment amidst a beast invasion threat

Shadow Moon Organisation:

Jeremy heard her explanation. His heart was turbulent. He didn't expect the 10th zone's geniuses to be involved in this mission. He had not even met one before.

He is hesitating. He is the only son of his parents. He has ambition. He doesn't want to be overconfident.

Gisela decides to give him some time.

"Take your time to think. I'll take a walk outside," After saying that Gisela left the room.

Inside the room, Jeremy fell into deep thought. She has put him in a tight spot. If it were earlier, he would have hesitated.

But now he has heard that geniuses were risking their lives as well. He is feeling competitive and necessary to step in as well.

Maybe there is something that leader Gisela doesn't say clearly. The Shadow Moon Organisation might have decided to send him as a representative.

When he starts to think from this angle. It made a lot of sense to him.

"It might be a chance to attract the attention of the Human Alliance's higher-ups," Jeremy Night said in his heart.

After giving some thought, he decides to do the mission. Maybe he could get more resources from them.

Shortly afterwards,

Gisela came back to the room. Upon seeing Jeremy Night's relaxed face, she is expecting good news.

She sat in her seat and turned towards Jeremy Night.

"What's your answer?" She asked.

"I'll do it," Jeremy replied.

"Ha...Ha...Ha...," Gisela let out a joyful laugh.

"Thank you for accepting the mission. Your efforts will be rewarded. The City administration will reward you. Together we will reward you as well," She added.

Hearing that Jeremy put his heart at ease.

"Alright, when should I start the mission?" Jeremy asked.

"Right now is better," Gisela said.

Jeremy wasn't surprised. He agrees to leave right away for the mission.

Then Team Leader Gisela gives him mission details, which include the strategic sites inside the outer area of the wilderness.

"What about the explosives?" Jeremy asked.

"It's with me," After saying that Gisela takes out the black container.

"The black container has explosives. Inside, there is a manual with clear instructions. You can read it after arriving at that place," She added.

Jeremy then collected the black container into his storage ring. Then he takes out the digital device to check the mission instructions.

After confirming it one more time, he decides to leave. He then stood up from his seat.

A hint of worry flashes in Gisela's eyes.

She said, "There is no need to risk your life. If you find yourself in a dangerous situation, you can leave."

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled all of a sudden. From the beginning, she has been convincing him to do the mission. She is showing worry right now.

He then turned towards her and said, "Leader, I will complete the mission. Don't worry about me."

Hearing that, Gisela showed a relieved smile on her face.

Jeremy then left the place and went towards his room to wear the armour suit.

Gisela sat back in the seat with a solemn expression on her face.

"I'm sorry," She uttered with a sad face.

Because Jeremy Night was right. She did hide things from him. It was not her and Head Neil's decision to send Jeremy Night on this mission.

It was a decision made by the City Administration. They knew Jeremy Night was the one who had collected evidence not long ago.

They had named him, along with the geniuses, to do this mission. When it comes to this type of do-or-die situation. No one has a say in it.

The city administration might consider them traitors. She didn't tell these things to Jeremy Night for a reason.

She doesn't want Jeremy Night to know the ugly side of the City administration yet.

Buzz!

Right after, she receives a call from Head Neil. She attends the call.

"What happened?" Neil asked.

"Jeremy Night agrees to do the mission. I didn't have to explain much," Gisela replied.

"He is a good kid. I hope he survives this mission. I'll reward him," Neil said.

"Head, what about the Sun Wheel Organisation people?" Gisela asked.

"Don't worry about it. They won't dare to do anything shady in this situation. I have already informed City administration officials about them."

"They will keep an eye on their movements," Neil said to her.

Then he asked a few other things before ending the call.

Meanwhile,

Jeremy Night returned to his room. He began to wear the advanced armour suit given to him by Audrey Reed.

"Will she be there?" Jeremy thought.

He knows that the Reed Family is one of the prominent families as well. There is a chance for Audrey Reed to represent her family to complete the mission.

Then he collected his thoughts and wore the new armour. But it doesn't have headgear. But he didn't care.

Jeremy then checks other necessary items. He still has the poison bottle which he had brought from the 14th zone. There is also a basic grade knife and a combat uniform.

He thinks it would be helpful sometime in future. So he still has them inside the storage ring. After making sure everything was inside, he then took his scabbard.

He wears it. Then he wears the gun holder. He takes out a handgun and finds out that there is a limited quantity of bullets. His eyes flickered.

He broke through yesterday. He thinks his starlight ability must have become stronger. He decides to buy more bullets for his handgun.

He thinks his shooting skills will play a more crucial role.

He then locked the door and came to the lobby. Upon arriving there, he went to the inventory. He meets the staff there.

Jeremy made his request. The middle-aged man was shocked. He didn't know Jeremy Night knew firearms skills. But it was an old school method.

"Are you serious?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm," After saying that, Jeremy takes out his hand gun and shows it.

"I need as many bullets as possible, "Jeremy said to him.
