Chapter 428: Back to the wilderness (City C)
City C (14th Zone):
Jeremy shared his plan with Petra and Levy, who agreed to join him in exploring the wilderness together.
Jeremy then informed his mother, who gave her approval immediately. He also notified his father.
After learning that Petra and Levy were coming along, his father asked them to inform their families as well.
He also requested that they ensure their safety during the trip.
After discussing a few more safety details, Jeremy ended the call.
Turning to his friends, Jeremy reminded them to inform their families. Both Petra's and Levy's fathers were City Governors as well.
Petra and Levy made their calls on the spot. When their families learned that Jeremy Night had returned, they were shocked.
Upon hearing that the three childhood friends wanted to spend time in the wilderness, their families agreed, knowing that a guardian team would accompany them. Petra ended her call.
"My father agreed," she said.
Levy ended his call moments later.
"My father gave permission as well," he said.
Levy was curious about Jeremy Night's strength, sensing an unfamiliar pressure emanating from him.
He knew Jeremy was already formidable during their time at Central University 14, and he was eager to see how much stronger Jeremy had become.
Petra had similar thoughts.
Hearing that both families had given permission, Jeremy decided to depart immediately.
"Let's go. We should spend some time in the wilderness," Jeremy said.
Petra and Levy stood up from the sofa. Jeremy exited the house with them. Outside, Jeremy informed the Head Guard of his decision, while the others listened.
Upon learning that Young Master Jeremy wanted to explore the wilderness, the Head Guard responded, "Young Master, we can leave right away."
Petra and Levy also informed their respective teams. Each had come with their own guard team.
A few minutes later, six flying cars departed from the Night Mansion. Jeremy traveled in one car, with the Head Guard and his team in a second car behind him.
Similarly, Petra and Levy each traveled in their own cars, accompanied by their guard teams, making a total of six vehicles.
The convoy reached the main part of the city and headed toward the city wall.
Jeremy felt a sense of freedom. Finally, he would have a break from the hectic life of City A in the 10th Zone.
The six flying cars continued their journey and soon reached the city wall. The City Guards did not attempt to stop them, having received prior approval from the City Administration.
The first two cars bore the raven symbol of the Night Family, which the City Guards recognized, allowing them to pass.
Similarly, they identified the symbols of the Ross and Glass Families on the remaining four cars and permitted them to fly past the city wall.
The six flying cars then entered the wilderness and disappeared from the patrol guards' sight.
A few minutes later, the convoy reached the outer area of the wilderness. The flying cars landed one by one.
Jeremy and his friends stepped out of their cars, followed by the family guards.
Jeremy looked around. It had been a long time since he last visited this place. He used to train here in the wilderness.
Petra and Levy observed the area with interest.
"I used to come here with my father," Petra said.
Levy added, "Same for me. I even hunted low-tier corrupted beasts here."
"So, what's your plan?" Petra asked, turning to Jeremy.
Levy looked at Jeremy as well.
"I'm thinking you plan to hunt corrupted beasts here," Levy said.
Jeremy smiled and replied, "I do plan to kill some corrupted beasts, but first, I want to find an unexplored area here."
"An unexplored area?" Levy said, surprised.
Petra was equally stunned. She hadn't expected Jeremy to have such an idea.
They knew the wilderness contained unexplored regions, rumored to be home to powerful corrupted beasts due to the rich natural energy in those areas.
"Let's just explore the place randomly. We'll return before evening," Jeremy said.
Hearing this, Petra and Levy agreed. They were going to spend time in the wilderness, not necessarily focusing on killing corrupted beasts.
The Head Guards of the three teams left a few members behind to protect the flying cars and monitor the area.
The rest of the team followed Jeremy Night, Petra, and Levy. As they walked, the three friends chatted.
Jeremy asked about Central University 14 these days.
"Almost everyone knows you left Central University 14," Petra Ross said with a smile.
Levy added, "Some Beast Taming Families knew where you went, but no one made it public. We only learned about it from our families."
Jeremy's eyes flickered with understanding.
He then thought of the STRIKER Department and sighed inwardly. So much had changed. If not for the genius list, he would have stayed at Central University 14.
He asked, "What about my members?"
"Are you talking about Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone?" Petra asked.
Jeremy nodded.
Petra said, "They seem to be doing fine. But you should visit Central University 14 to see them."
"The situation is better than before. Because of your absence, no one bothers them," Levy said.
"The Attack Department and the Elemental Department have reclaimed the title of the strongest departments," he continued.
"May Lindsey and Victor Scott are working hard. Ever since you left, they've reduced their activities on campus."
"There's even news that they're spending time in the wilderness for training. It seems they're copying your style, but others don't have that courage," he added.
Jeremy listened quietly, relieved that no one was causing trouble for Betsy Lowe and Daniel Stone.
"I'll go to Central University 14 with you guys," Jeremy said.
Petra and Levy weren't surprised. They knew he would visit sooner or later.
After all, Jeremy had been the department representative before leaving Central University 14. How could he not return?
As time passed, they changed the topic and began discussing something else.
The guards continued to follow behind them. They are keeping an eye on the surroundings as well.
