Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 954: Sanhe Martial Arts Hall

Luo Zheng was overjoyed to hear there was a lead. Just as he was about to ask, someone knocked on the door from outside. Little Dao opened the door, and in came Ghost Hand, who greeted them warmly. He ushered Ghost Hand inside, and everyone sat down again. After Little Dao briefly explained the situation, he asked, "Should we arrest him now or wait?"

"We must capture him discreetly, without alerting anyone," Luo Zheng said coldly.

"That's simple. He works every night until midnight and sleeps at home in the morning, only getting up in the afternoon. We can go to his place," Little Dao quickly suggested.

Luo Zheng asked for the exact address and gave Ghost Hand a look. Ghost Hand encouraged Little Dao with a few words, then left the nightclub with Luo Zheng. They hailed a taxi, gave the driver the address of the technician's residential area, and remained silent throughout the ride to avoid being overheard by the taxi driver.

Upon arriving, Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand got out of the taxi and walked into the complex. They soon found the building where the technician lived. The two carefully observed their surroundings and, seeing nothing suspicious, took the elevator upstairs. They reached the technician's door, and Luo Zheng tried the handle, but it was locked. He took out his gun and pressed the doorbell.

The bell rang for a while before someone came to answer. A middle-aged man, shirtless and with disheveled hair, looking groggy, opened the wooden door inside and stared at Luo Zheng through the iron security door. Luo Zheng quickly raised his gun and coldly demanded, "Open the door."

"Oh?" The technician saw the dark gun barrel and his face changed drastically. He quickly tried to shut the door. Luo Zheng didn't want to shoot for real, and angrily considered breaking the door. Ghost Hand gestured for Luo Zheng to step aside, producing a thin wire from somewhere and forming it into a hook to pick the lock.

In no time, the fire-resistant iron door was opened. Luo Zheng exclaimed in surprise, "You've got skills for this? Teach me later." Saying this, he followed Ghost Hand inside.

The living room was empty, and everyone rushed to the bedroom, finding it empty as well. The window was wide open. Luo Zheng peered out and saw that the technician had already climbed out, standing on an extended platform, yelling into his phone, "110? Someone with a gun has broken into my house, come and save me!"

Upon hearing this, Luo Zheng couldn't help but laugh, coldly shouting, "If you don't want to die, come here— we're the police."

The technician didn't believe him but had no way out. He stood trembling on the ledge, ghostly pale, as there were over ten floors below him. He didn't dare to jump. Ghost Hand, nonchalant, poked his head out, sneering, "You know Master Dao, right? He sent us to find you. If you don't want to harm your family, get over here quickly, or I'll go after them instead, hurry up."

Luo Zheng was taken aback, looking at Ghost Hand — he no longer had the demeanor of a soldier, but looked like a thug. He couldn't help but laugh, even more so when he saw the technician gingerly make his way back in fear. Truly, evil knows how to deal with evil. Those in the underworld might not fear the police because police operate by rules, but they definitely fear those more unscrupulous than themselves, who stop at nothing.

The technician, hearing that Little Dao was involved, dared not provoke him. He obediently climbed back through the window, smiling obsequiously, "I don't know your names, sirs. I have no quarrel with Master Dao, why is he looking for me?"

"Behave yourself." Ghost Hand swung his arm, delivering a hard slap, with the vicious appearance of a ruthless thug. The technician's face bore five clear red marks, and Ghost Hand viciously cursed, "Kid, you'd better behave. You know the rules of the underworld — answer what you're asked, understood?"

"Understood, understood, please ask," the technician hurriedly replied.

"Who told you to tamper with the truck?" Ghost Hand said coldly.

"This..." The technician hesitated, eyes darting frantically, his face growing pale with terror and sweat dripping from his forehead. After a long pause, he didn't dare utter a word.

Ghost Hand, impatient, slapped him again, leaving a distinct slap mark, and coldly said, "What, are you looking to die?"

"No, no," the technician hurriedly forced a smile, thinking of the consequences of not speaking. It wasn't just a simple matter of dying; it could implicate his family. Gritting his teeth, he said, "It was people from the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall who told me to do it."

"Sanhe Martial Arts Hall? What's that?" Ghost Hand asked impatiently.

The technician looked at Ghost Hand in astonishment, unable to comprehend how someone in the underworld didn't know about the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall. Seeing Ghost Hand about to strike again, he quickly said, "The Sanhe Martial Arts Hall is a martial arts hall and also the headquarters of the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall in Huaxia Country. The vice-president in charge of external affairs approached me. He didn't say why, just told me to tamper with a truck. I didn't expect they'd use it to harm people. I never would have done it if I'd known."

"Do you know the driver of the truck?" Ghost Hand suddenly asked coldly.

"I don't. There was no one in the truck when I messed with the brakes," the technician quickly replied.

Just then, someone knocked on the door. Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand exchanged a glance. Luo Zheng went over and saw that he recognized them — two criminal detectives from the major crimes unit. They recognized Luo Zheng too and looked surprised. One of them said, "We received a report from the 110 hotline about an armed break-in here — it wasn't you, was it?"

"You're just in time. The owner of this place was involved in the truck mishap last time," Luo Zheng laughed, opening the door when he realized they were old acquaintances.

The two detectives entered and, upon learning the details, laughed. One of them said, "You're always our lucky star, always a hero when we run into you. You're practically a mascot for our major crimes unit. We must treat you to a meal to express our appreciation when we're free."

"No problem, there'll be an opportunity. Thank you all for your kindness. Meanwhile, secretly take him away and keep him under surveillance. Be careful of assassination attempts; he's implicated in other cases. Ensure his safety, and contact me immediately if anything happens," Luo Zheng advised earnestly.

"Understood," the two, being from the major crimes unit, immediately grasped the complexity of the situation and how it was beyond their purview. They nodded in agreement, secretly vigilant as they handcuffed the technician.

The technician listened to their conversation and realized Ghost Hand wasn't sent by Little Dao; he had been fooled. His face changed drastically. If he had known their government background identity, he wouldn't have confessed earlier even if beaten to death. Coldly glaring at Ghost Hand, Ghost Hand casually slapped him again, coldly saying, "You'd better behave. You're already risking treason, and still completely in the dark. If you want to live, cooperate honestly."

"What? Treason?" The technician was shocked. Tampering with brakes was at worst murder, merely costing his life, but treason wasn't just about his death; it would doom his entire family, dragging them into disgrace. Thinking of this, the technician promptly said, "I'll cooperate, I'll cooperate. What do you need me to do?"
