Strongest Soldier King

Chapter 956: Capturing the Clubhouse

"Whiz whiz whiz!" A dozen tear gas grenades and flashbangs were hurled into the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall, causing a series of muffled explosions. The immense white light flashed, illuminating the entire building, while white smoke rolled out, drifting through the windows. Then came another round of tear gas and flashbangs. Flashbangs, which hinder vision with intense light, can cause temporary blindness upon explosion, making resistance impossible, even for the strongest.

Outside the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall, an elite anti-terrorist armed police unit stood ready. To ensure complete success, the armed police leader threw three rounds of tear gas and flashbangs inside, equipping assault team members with anti-poison masks, additional flashbangs, and tear gas to use upon finding blind spots inside.

After three rounds of attacks, the armed police leader gave the command, and the elite police charged inside. Luo Zheng and Ghost Hand calmly watched from outside, seeing the entire Sanhe Martial Arts Hall filled with white smoke, breathing a sigh of relief under such intense attack, believing no one inside could withstand.

Soon, gunfire echoed inside the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall, sporadic and intermittent, indicating some fish had escaped the net and were resisting stubbornly. Luo Zheng looked at the armed police leader, who came over and said softly, "Brothers rushed in and found some resisting, in the final cleanup."

"Hmm," Luo Zheng nodded noncommittally, walked over, dialed Lan Xue's number, explained the situation, and asked, "There's probably a big catch inside, still unclear, but I feel it relates to the case we're investigating. Should we send people to take over the captives?"

"I'll arrange it immediately." Lan Xue pondered, finding it reasonable, agreed quickly, and hung up.

After a while, gunfire inside grew more intense; Luo Zheng's face turned grim. He looked at the armed police leader, whose face also turned pale with iron, immediately sending another backup unit inside. Shi Feng couldn't sit still, fetched an anti-poison mask, ready to rush in and help, but Luo Zheng held him back, cautiously saying, "Send your men to spread around, see if anyone's monitoring the perimeter."

Shi Feng was stunned, realized, and immediately arranged his people to withdraw and inspect the perimeter, stayed back himself, looking at the intense gunfire in the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall, seriously said softly, "Didn't expect such fierce resistance, seems there's a big catch inside, wonder who it could be?"

"Hard to say, we'll take over this matter, you don't need to worry." Luo Zheng smiled.

"That's best, such a big case is beyond what a small policeman like me can handle, you taking over is better, let us know if you need anything from us." Shi Feng smiled.

After chatting for a while, the gunfire inside stopped. Soon, the armed police withdrew, some injured, some sacrificed. Luo Zheng saw this, his expression turned serious, looking at the armed police leader, whose face was also very ugly, glaring furiously, his heart pounding.

A squad leader ran up, saluted, reported with a bashful face, "Report, killed five enemies, injured six, among which eight lost resistance. We lost two, three injured, my command was inadequate, requesting punishment."

"Send our fallen and injured brothers to the hospital immediately." The armed police leader said coldly.

The other man agreed, hurriedly left, Luo Zheng walked up, said, "Brothers, you've done your best. The opponents dared to fire back and eluded such a dense tear gas and flashbang attack, they're naturally not ordinary thugs. You did well with this record; my people will take over here."

"Hmm." The armed police leader nodded uncommitted, agreed. Armed police only handle operations; whether to hand over to police or others, he's not interested, thinking of the fallen comrades made him feel down.

Luo Zheng couldn't persuade more, saw several cars roaring in, and all the people getting out wore black suits. The leader showed credentials, and perimeter police let them through. The leader approached Luo Zheng, handed over his badge. Luo Zheng didn't know why the other recognized him, took a glance—it was from the intelligence team's perimeter operations division, responsible for aftermath arrangements.

"They're our people, no issue." A voice drifted over.

Luo Zheng turned to see Hong Meihua somehow had arrived, nodded, returned the badge, saying, "Take everyone inside away, alive or dead, I need their identities immediately, go ahead."

The other man agreed, led people to charge into the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall. Luo Zheng watched as Hong Meihua approached, asked in surprise, "Why are you here?"

"You're right; the people inside may be linked to our investigation case. I wasn't reassured, came to see, heard you're tracking the killers of your parents here, what's going on exactly?" Hong Meihua asked quietly.

Luo Zheng gave a brief lowdown quietly, black-suited men dragged everyone out, holding one each, unknown if dead or alive, tossing them into cars. Hong Meihua explained nearby, "Considering potential ambushes planning to silence them around, better to knock them out and bring them out; this way, enemies won't know who's dead or alive."

"You're experienced with handling this, recognize any?" Luo Zheng asked quietly.

Hong Meihua didn't respond, stepped forward to check, eyed each one twice. Once everyone was out and taken away, she signaled Luo Zheng to talk in the car. Luo Zheng greeted Shi Feng, left the chaos for Shi Feng to handle, Ghost Hand reminded Luo Zheng of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs guy. Luo Zheng glanced at him, said nothing, signaled Ghost Hand to get in the car too. This guy can be dealt with later; no fear of him fleeing.

After getting in the car, Hong Meihua said grimly while driving away, "Three are leaders of the Sanhe Martial Arts Hall, all high-ranking. This time we've thoroughly offended the Japan Sanhe Martial Arts Hall organization, but no worries, they're not what you might be more interested in."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Luo Zheng asked surprised.

"One is a squad leader from the Sam Country Strategic Intelligence Bureau, with a man and woman as his subordinates. To enter the Sam Country Strategic Intelligence Bureau, their identities and capabilities are complex, unexpectedly snagged by your accident, a major merit indeed. More importantly, there are members from the Reincarnation Killer Organization inside—which I recognized one, has a register at the International Police Headquarters, others are unfamiliar, likely his accomplices." Hong Meihua spoke seriously.

"Accidental strike killed a Sam Country Strategic Intelligence Bureau squad leader? And assassins? Seems this net indeed caught a big fish." Ghost Hand excitedly said.
