Chapter 1108: Lovable Daughter-In-Laws
Ethan found Lily reading a book on the balcony of her room.
She didn't see Ethan watching her from a distance, eyes filled with love and affection.
The young man deliberately hid his presence, wanting to observe his wife without being noticed.
Of course, the Protector Clans saw him, as well as Leviathan and Aion. However, none of them made any move to stop him, even unanimously deciding to pull back so the spouses could meet in private.
Ethan understood what everyone was doing and waved at them silently before taking a step.
He no longer hid his presence this time, not wanting to give Lily a scare, which might cause harm to their unborn children.
Upon sensing his presence, Lily looked in Ethan's direction and slowly stood up.
Ethan rushed to her side, supporting his wife with a hug before giving her a soft kiss on the lips.
The two kissed, and kissed, and kissed some more, not caring if people were observing them from a distance.
Only after both of them had sated their overflowing feelings for each other did Ethan ask Lily to sit, so she would feel more comfortable.
"Did you just wake up?" Lily asked with a smile, noticing how Ethan treated her like she was a delicate vase that might break if he hugged her too tightly.
"I woke up around two hours ago," Ethan replied. "Samantha was doing a check up on me, so I cooperated with her." Read exclusive content at My Virtual Library Empire
The young lady sniffed twice before shaking her head helplessly.
"Did she give you a full body check up, or were you the one who gave her a full body check up?" Lily asked in a teasing tone.
"Both," Ethan replied, knowing full well that Lily already knew what happened between him and Samantha.
He then crouched down and planted a kiss on Lily's tummy before lightly pressing his head over it.
The young man closed his eyes as his hands rested on her waist. He then focused his senses on her womb, where their babies were currently at.
As if sensing that their father was with their mother, one of the babies kicked, making Ethan smile.
Lily lovingly held her husband's head, and brushed his hair with her hand.
Illumina and Ethan's other lovers, who were watching this scene through the water mirror, couldn't help but feel envious.
Their lover looked so happy as he listened to his children's movements. All of them wanted him to do the same to them when they got pregnant with his child, so they were paying extra attention to this scene for future reference.
The minutes passed unhurriedly, as if giving the husband and wife all the time in the world to bond together.
The one who broke the silence first was none other than Lily, who gently raised Ethan's head, so he could look at her face.
"Thank you for saving me," Lily said. "I know you made a hard choice, endangering your life for my sake."
"It wasn't a hard choice," Ethan replied, raising his right hand to hold Lily's hand, giving it a kiss. "Even if I were sent back in time, I would do it all over again. You are very precious to me, and even if I have to face dozens of Progenitors to save you, I will save you without fail."
Lily nodded and cradled Ethan's head on her chest.
"I know." Lily closed her eyes. "I would have done the same for you."
The two stayed in that position for a few minutes before the two of them kissed for the umpteenth time.
When their kiss ended, Ethan asked the young lady a question, which had puzzled him before he arrived in the Akkadian Realm.
"When we arrived, you and the other Progenitors were outside of their main base," Ethan said. "I thought we'd need to besiege a Fortress, but they were all out in the open, which made things easier for us. Was it just a coincidence that they were there?"
Lily frowned. She was unconscious throughout the entire time and didn't know what had happened until the war was over.
But after hearing Ethan's words, the faces of two adorable girls appeared inside of her head.
"I had help," Lily replied. "Do you remember those two girls that I talked about in my letter to you? They appeared the first time I regained consciousness after I was kidnapped.
"Maple and Cinnamon accompanied me during that time, telling me stories about different worlds, as well as their family.
"Without them, I might have felt fearful and anxious because the Progenitor, Tiruru, threatened to corrupt our children and turn them into monsters."
Ethan's face darkened after hearing Lily's story. Seeing his expression, the young lady lightly tapped the side of his face and smiled.
"Of course, that didn't happen," Lily said. "Maple and Cinnamon made sure of that. I don't know when it happened, but the two of them suddenly sensed something. After that, Cinnamon told me that things might get a bit dark for a short while, so I should bear with it."
Lily then told Ethan that the little girl swallowed the capsule, and that was the last thing that she remembered.
"I see. So it was thanks to their help that you got to leave the place where you were held captive." Ethan nodded in understanding. "I'll thank them when I see them in the future. However, I'm a little concerned about something… how did they arrive at the Akkadian Realm?
"Lastly, where are they now? I didn't see any little girls during our fight with the Plague Faction. Did they get captured or something?"
"No," Lily answered. "They visited me two days ago and even brought snacks."
Ethan blinked once then twice, making the young lady giggle.
"Those two girls just come and go as they please," Lily said helplessly. "They were even able to bypass the detection of the Protector Clans. However, Lord Leviathan seemed to know them. When they were here, they offered him some potato chips and even called him Uncle Leviathan."
"When do you think they'll be back?" Ethan asked with genuine curiosity. He wanted to meet the two girls who helped his wife during her time of need.
"They said they will come back after they spend some time with their mother, who might be worried about them. Also, I'm going to tell you in advance that they will definitely call you Father-in-law.
"They were already calling you Father-in-law the moment I met them, so I'm sure that they will do the same when you meet them for the first time."
"Father-in-law?" Ethan smirked. "Did they already call dibs on our children before they're even been born?"
Lily giggled because she also found this situation quite funny.
"Well, in any case, I don't mind having them as my daughter-in-laws," Lily stated. "Both of them are adorable, lovable, and very kind girls. I would love to have them become part of our family."
"Well, if you say so, then I guess I will need to talk to them at least once." Ethan smiled. "If they're as lovable as you claim them to be, then I don't mind them becoming our daughter-in-laws. I'm just afraid they might bully our kids as they grow up."
"… Somehow, I can see that happening," Lily, who knew that the twins could be mischievous at times, thought that this was indeed a possibility.
She just hoped that her twins would be born healthy and would not suffer any dangers until the two of them became old enough to protect themselves from the dangers of the world.
