Suits: A Lawyer Surviving TV Chaos

Two days later, Thanksgiving arrived. 

As planned, Martin and the group had dinner at Penny's restaurant—a meal no different from usual, except for the doubled tips they left. Martin added extra to ensure Penny had a brighter holiday. 

By 6 PM, the night was young. Thursdays typically meant *Halo* nights, holidays be damned. Sheldon, indifferent to celebrations, clung to routine. Leonard and Rajesh, veterans of failed social outings, opted for the apartment. Only Martin ventured out alone. 

After watching Leonard's car disappear, Martin drove his Porsche to a familiar cinema, bought a ticket for *I Am Legend*, and grabbed popcorn and soda. 

The theater brimmed with couples and friend groups. Martin, solo, claimed a front-row seat—avoiding the back rows' unspoken "couple zones" where passion often eclipsed the screen. 

As previews rolled, he munched popcorn. A petite figure slid into the adjacent seat, her perfume hinting at youth. 

"So… alone?" Her voice trembled with forced confidence. 

Martin smirked. "What if I got stood up?" 

"No girl would ditch someone this hot." Her tone mimicked maturity, like a child playing dress-up. 

Martin glanced back, spotting giggling shadows—her friends. *High school dare*, he deduced. At 25, he'd seen this game a hundred times. 

"What's the bet?" he asked. 

"If I get your number, they're my minions Monday." 

"Deal." He rattled off Rachel's number. "Name's Martin." 

She typed eagerly. "Thanks! Want company?" 

"Go, report your victory." 

She scampered off. Martin chuckled, he'd won't touch this shit even with a 10ft pole. Even though Unlike desperate Leonard or Howard, Martin's charm guaranteed options without chasing teens. 

The screen darkened, then lit with Will Smith's lone survivor in a ravaged New York. *I Am Legend* mirrored Martin's existential joke: Smith's character, the last human; himself, the sole time-traveler knowing the next 13 years.
