Chapter 524: Alavenya and Flora
Meanwhile, Alavenya and Flora seemed to have the easiest time.
They were surrounded by ten mature class aliens. Normally, people would have been scared due to their number.
But these duos weren't bothered by it in the slightest.
Alavenya leaped into the air and punched a giant plant-like alien with the Dragon Fist. The eruption from the second drive created a big hole deep into its flesh as the blood spurted out of that hole.
On the other side, the beetle queen stopped the rush of a beast-like mature class alien. There was another mature class alien that wanted to disrupt her ability, but the squirrel girl kicked the alien in the stomach, blowing it away.
The dark butterfly was going on full throttle. She released one ability after another, pressuring her opponent. However, the one with the biggest improvement was actually the lamia.
One said that martial arts could beat strength, but Fenrir's strength was different. It was absolute.
Even when she used her glaive, not a single attack of hers could lead to victory. That was the first time she understood that martial arts, if not accompanied by absolute strength, were like an empty shell.
She first swung her glaive on the ground, swiping the smaller aliens that these mature class aliens brought.
A huge humanoid alien rushed toward her and smashed her with his club from above.
The lamia blocked it with a single hand. Her body was much more muscular compared to the body she had in the fight against Nathan.
She had asked the Dragon King to actually train her physical strength. Because of her size, she had been pushing hills during her training or even carrying all the loads during construction. In fact, she had been the one cleaning up all the big materials in their new home, allowing the construction to proceed much faster than one would expect.
As a result, the humanoid alien couldn't actually overpower her, even when he had the advantage.
The lamia knocked the club back before spinning her glaive and striking the alien from the side.
The mature class alien put his club on the side, using both of his hands to block it. However, the lamia's eyes turned bloodshot as she exerted 120% of her strength.
"Sree?!" The humanoid alien couldn't block it properly. In fact, his club actually bent in that contact area.
Among Alavenya's familiars, she was probably the one who had the biggest growth.
On the other hand, Flora took care of the remaining mature class aliens.
The fire spirit and the ice spirit burned and froze their enemies respectively. They had been working together most of the time, so they teamed up and fought two mature class aliens in a much more efficient way.
The lightning spirit went on a rampage, scattering his lightning to not only electrocute the mature class alien but also the lower-level aliens. Besides, he had the highest firepower, which was the reason for Flora making him her lifebound familiar.
His effort alone killed ten percent of the enemy force.
Still, the one contributing the most was actually her plant spirit.
Her plant spirit created giant roots all around the battlefield, wreaking havoc in the enemy ranks.
Despite their number, not a single alien could actually reach her position.
On the other hand, the earth spirit was actually impaling a massive mature class alien with a spike that emerged from the ground.
It soon snapped because of the weight, but it wouldn't take too long for him to kill the alien.
Last but not least, Flora. She was also taking on a mature class alien. Unfortunately, she didn't have the time to charge her energy like when she was in the mine, but even so, her strength had surpassed that of a mature class alien.
Her fighting style was similar to the lightning spirit. Her power overwhelmed the mature class alien, with the latter barely dealing with all her attacks.
Even then, the ten mature class aliens brought at least 1,500 lower-level aliens. It was supposed to be a hard fight, but their fighting style was much different from anyone else's.
If Nathan and Selena would focus on their position and maintain a formation to deal with their enemies, these two never cared about their formation.
If the enemies reached them, they simply moved to a different location and went on a rampage in that location until they had to move again.
That was why the aliens had a hard time reaching them. In fact, most aliens were just running around, chasing after them without being able to catch up.
Flora even used all the giant aliens as her footing, which made it hard for any aliens to come closer.
Though, they ended up forgetting that the reason Nathan wanted them to take care of this spot was so that they could learn they needed to maintain their formation.
At the same time, he expected them to fail since Alavenya was a mercenary, which meant she was less organized. Flora was a princess, which meant she moved in a way she could protect herself.
Nevertheless, he just hoped that these two could learn from their mistakes.
Unfortunately for everyone, they couldn't learn because during the fight, they noticed an incoming presence from the east.
"Hmmm?" Flora raised her head. "A familiar presence? This is… Noelle?"
Flora squinted her eyes as Noelle released a crescent-shaped sword wave and cut a lot of aliens and trees in her path. In fact, the giant alien that Flora's earth spirit was supposed to kill was sliced into two.
Flora could finally see Noelle, who was wearing her armor and riding her horse. But surprisingly, she actually saw the demon familiar Flora rarely summoned.
"Hmm? Flora is summoning her demon? What's going on? Is there an emergency? Because of the incomplete summoning, she felt guilty to the demon for not bringing his griffon with him, so she made him her lifebound familiar and received the flame element from him, but… Flora is not the type of someone who would summon him unless it's something important."
Flora immediately jumped toward her while asking her earth spirit to take care of the mature class alien she was fighting.
