Chapter 527: Shocked Minister
"Sir…" Marquis Reyzar widened his eyes in shock, never expecting for such a high-ranking person to come to this dangerous place.
There were even ten thousand soldiers from the royal army. They were the elite soldiers tasked with protecting the capital, so they were supposed to stay in the royal city to protect the capital.
Yet the war minister brought ten thousand of them here.
"Marquis Reyzar. Thank you for your effort this time. Instead of causing more ruckus here, let's enter first. I have asked the soldiers to step outside the city to avoid commotions." The war minister smiled.
"Y-Yes. This way, please." Marquis Reyzar hurriedly led him inside.
Behind the minister were Flora and a middle-aged man. The middle-aged man was a summoner whose strength was beyond their capability. It wouldn't be weird if that person was able to cut down a warrior class alien by himself. Without such a person, the war minister wouldn't have gone to this place personally.
Flora winked playfully, as if telling him that she had done her best.
Nathan smiled wryly as he and Flora entered the room together.
"It's an honor to have your presence grace this place, sir." Marquis Reyzar politely lowered his head.
"It's fine. Something serious is going on in our soil, so I have to act personally." The war minister glanced at Nathan. "Well, I am also curious about the genius of this generation. All the insights you've given to the kingdom are truly eye-opening."
Your journey continues on empire
Nathan shook his head. "I'm not an expert. I'm just good at a what-if situation."
"Heh." The war minister grinned. "I wonder if it's too much to ask you to explain the problem to me? Your group is the one finding it, so you should have a much better understanding."
Flora narrowed her eyes, warning him not to pick on Nathan.
However, both Nathan and the war minister had the same thought in mind. They were gauging each other to see whether the other party was worthy enough to cooperate or not.
"Certainly." Nathan smiled. "I apologize in advance in case I say something wrong, as I have little experience compared to the minister."
"Please speak freely. No pressure." He waved his hand.
Nathan nodded and walked to the map in the middle of the room. He pointed at the location of the nest while saying, "In this location, there are tunnels that are suspected to lead to the alien's territory directly.
"Unfortunately, the aliens themselves haven't finished it yet, but this map is the latest one, which was taken two years ago. Hence, we confirmed that the construction of the tunnel had just happened within the last two years.
"According to the plant spirit of her highness Flora, the vegetation living there is around a year, so I'm suspecting that the aliens have realized the volcanic eruption before that time, but on the other continent, which resulted in them making the tunnel.
"Still, the speed doesn't match up, so I'm once again assuming they're slowing down to match the eruption, or they might abandon it for a bit before picking it up again. Nevertheless, we have to first check the tunnel."
The war minister frowned. "The situation looks urgent. You should understand the threat of the tunnel, right?"
"Indeed." Nathan nodded before his face turned solemn. "As such, from now on, I shall speak as the leader of the aliens."
"!!!" Flora widened her eyes in shock while the war minister was amused. The war minister said, "That's a rather interesting take. Elaborate."
"Certainly." Nathan raised three fingers. "If I'm their leader, I want to construct this tunnel for one thing. It's destroying the frontline. However, to achieve such a thing, I need to accomplish three objectives.
"First of all, I want to destroy this city, which is the main buffer base. The second objective is to block the supply route, which results in the frontline's soldiers getting weakened due to the lack of food and equipment. Last but not least, I would like to attack the royal capital to make them busy. If they're not busy, the royal capital will surely do something to help the frontline. Hence, I have to seal their movement first before pincering the frontline from both sides."
"!!!" The war minister widened his eyes in shock. He never thought Nathan was able to see through all the potential problems.
However, Nathan hadn't finished yet. "Unfortunately, a tunnel to a single kingdom will not result in a devastating attack. I want to launch the same attack on other kingdoms by baiting their strongest summoners to the frontline and ambushing them."
The war minister opened his mouth in shock but soon fell into deep thought. That was right. The prediction was not just limited to Sullivan. There were also summoners from other kingdoms.
"I have two options, which are to launch a synchronized attack or a succession attack. To kill a single World summoner, I believe I should focus on one at a time. The news about them will definitely shock other kingdoms, which will allow me to make another surprise attack, sending shock waves to all four kingdoms.
"Even if I can't kill one or two world class summoners from the last two kingdoms, the frontline will still collapse, which will give me a huge advantage."
'Ah. This… Isn't this kid too good? How in the world does he view the entire world so easily? Is he really a former farmer? Someone who doesn't have any formal knowledge regarding military tactics or politics?' The war minister thought about seeing Nathan's brilliance by coming here personally.
It turned out he was wrong. He had a much better grasp of the situation compared to a few ministers, or even his subordinates, who had all the information about the kingdom.
Sadly for him… or more like fortunately for him, Nathan had yet to show everything.
He continued, "And returning to the human's side, the alien will most likely create a place that is near the frontline but also safe. If we look at the first half of the tunnel, I think I know where the tunnel will lead us."
