Super Gene Ⅱ: Evolution

Chapter 826: Stronger Yet Weaker

"You're still not dead?" An Qingshan, who had transformed into a giant snake, saw that although Lin Shen's body was dripping with green liquid, he was still not dead. As the snake's gaping mouth focused its energy, a green light condensed within, erupting like a volcano, gushing towards Lin Shen.

A torrent of green light enveloped Lin Shen's body, corroding the ground into a massive ravine filled with the green liquid—as if a great green rift had split the earth.

"You're wasting my time. I must hurry," An Qingshan turned, preparing to leave.

But as he turned his head, he heard a gurgling sound from within the ravine filled with the green liquid.

Glancing back, he saw water waves exploding within the green fluid, a body burst out from it and hung suspended in the sky.

As the figure surged forth, the green liquid scattered from his body, revealing his true form.

Dressed in armor with a white base and black patterns, it resembled a traditional ink wash landscape painting—mysterious and sinister.

"Lin Shen?" An Qingshan stared at the man, filled with suspicion and uncertainty.

"An Qingshan, if you have any tricks left, use them," Lin Shen said calmly, looking at the giant snake.

The Tian Brothers were overjoyed from a distance, as they had thought that Lin Shen had died under that terrifying attack. To their surprise, it appeared he was completely unharmed.

"Very well, you truly deserve to die!" An Qingshan roared as Law Power continuously converged in his mouth.

The green light inside the snake's mouth grew more intense, as though it had condensed into a green sun, its blinding brilliance making it impossible to look directly at.

Lin Shen glanced at the giant snake and the green light in its mouth, his figure suddenly moved, charging directly at the giant snake.

The giant snake's eyes flickered with terrifying intent to kill, as the green light from its mouth erupted in an instant into a green Star River, staining half the planet's sky green.

The mere gust of wind formed by the green Star River pushed the Tian Brothers to the ground, making it difficult for them to stand. The escaping Ascenders and Nirvana Beings were also pressed down from the sky by the terrifying gust, crashing onto the land and then tossed around by waves of the same force.

The green light erupted continuously, turning the whole sky green, lighting up Beiji Star as if it were a ghostly netherworld.

Within the river of green light, a figure broke through and leaped atop the snake's head, a foot stepping between the giant snake's eyes.

The giant snake's eyes were filled with shock and disbelief. It looked at the figure, wanting to do something, but it was already too late; it could only watch helplessly as the figure stepped on its face and delivered a punch towards its head.

Boom!

With a single punch, the giant snake's massive body was turned to ash by Lin Shen, scattering in the turbulent airstream.

The Nirvana Beings and Ascenders who had just stabilized themselves in the airstream witnessed this incredible scene, their pupils dilating to the extreme, filled with disbelief.

That An Qingshan, who had taken the form of an Immortal giant snake, was pulverized into ash by a single punch from Lin Shen, an amount of strength that was unimaginable.

"Could it be... Lin Shen is an Immortal?" The Tian Brothers were so shocked they were at a loss for words, the scene was just too staggering.

"This trash, weaker than an Immortal from the Ultra-Burn Tribe," Lin Shen looked at An Qingshan, who had been reduced to ash and left nothing behind. He felt slightly annoyed, having hoped that such a fellow would leave behind something useful after death.

Unexpectantly, he was directly turned to ash.

With a mere thought, Lin Shen knew what had happened; an Immortal from the Ultra-Burn Tribe was, after all, a true Immortal.

This guy had used some sort of technological product to transform himself into an Immortal Creature.

Lin Shen's body was only moderately lethal to those of flesh and blood but was extraordinarily destructive to Immortal materials.

The technology had rendered An Qingshan a pure Immortal Creature, devoid of flesh and blood, which made him even weaker against Lin Shen.

Lin Shen went straight to the teleporter station, seized control of the only teleporter, shut it down, and prevented anyone from teleporting in or out, first securing control of Beiji Star for himself.

The tremendous shock of Lin Shen killing the Immortal giant python made most of the Corps members and Nirvana Beings who had been loyal to An Qingshan surrender without much resistance.

In truth, there were many people in the Corps who were reluctant to join An Qingshan's rebellion; they had been forced to act against their will.

Now that An Qingshan had been killed and those Nirvana Beings closely associated with him had been almost completely eradicated by Lin Shen, there were few who dared to risk their lives against him.

Lin Shen sought help from the Tian Family, and quickly gained control over the entire Beiji Star, with the Corps also firmly in his grasp.

From An Qingshan, Lin Shen had learned that the situation was not so simple; the rebellion wasn't confined to Beiji Star alone, so he immediately contacted Tian Xun and others.

Many did not reply, Tian Xun did not respond, but Ouyang Yudu did.

"It's chaos... the whole Celestial Race is in chaos... rebellions have broken out on many planets... the Celestial Court is now barely holding on..." Ouyang Yudu's voice was a bit frantic, indicating that the situation there was far from optimistic.

This cast a shadow over Lin Shen's heart. Under normal circumstances, Tian Xun would never ignore his messages; Giant Ring Star must also be in trouble.

"How's the situation there? Are you alright?" Lin Shen asked.

But then the communication was cut off, and Lin Shen's message could not be sent, which made Lin Shen realize the gravity of the situation.

Even Sky Pinnacle Star was in trouble; it seemed that An Qingshan had not lied. The Celestial Race really was in major turmoil, and whether Emperor Tianshu and An Yi could hold the line was uncertain.

A thought suddenly sprang to Lin Shen's mind, "Could it be that An Yi has turned traitor? Otherwise, who has the power to incite simultaneous rebellions across so many planets of the Celestial Race?"

Anxious to return to Giant Ring Star, Lin Shen feared trouble might be brewing at Tian Xun's end.

Lin Shen accessed the Sky Network and thankfully, Beiji Star's signal was still relatively stable. As expected, news of the internal rebellion of the Celestial Race had flooded the Sky Network today.

The entire cosmos was discussing the rebellion within the Celestial Race; an event of such magnitude could not be kept hidden. Your journey continues on My Virtual Library Empire

Lin Shen saw a very unsettling piece of news – communication from Derekfu Star had been cut off. A few hours earlier, there had been messages from Derekfu Star about rebellions erupting on the planet, but then, all news ceased.

Unquestionably, an Immortal must have appeared there, disrupting Derekfu Star's communications with their Law Power.

"If I want to go to Giant Ring Star, I can only pass through Derekfu Star, and with rebellions everywhere in the Celestial Race, it will be difficult to travel through other planets to transfer to Giant Ring Star." Realizing he could wait no longer, Lin Shen arranged for Beiji Star's matters to be firmly managed by the Tian Family, especially the teleporter, and then used the teleporter to head to Derekfu Star.
