Chapter 29: Chapter 29: Tony's Last Stubbornness

"Perhaps for a girl, sir," Jarvis replied thoughtfully.

"So it was for a girl. Not surprising. That guy's just as much a gentleman as I am. He treats all women—"

Tony paused. "Wait, what did you say? A girl?"

"Correct, sir. A local girl. You could say she was mistreated by the Eagle forces."

Tony raised an eyebrow. "Huh. One of his exes kidnapped by the Eagle Party? Or did he meet someone here and decide to play hero?"

"A local child, sir. Shafiqa Mazari, seven years old, born in Kabul, Afghanistan."

Tony blinked. "Wait, what? Seven?"

"Yes, sir. Is that a problem?"

A long silence followed. "Didn't you tell Leon that what he was doing was a crime?"

"Sir, Master Leon killed two terrorists while helping the Mazari family escape Ten Rings harassment. That should be considered a heroic act, not a crime."

Tony sighed, rubbing his forehead. "Oh. So nothing happened between them… I mean, he just felt bad for her and went after the Eagle base?"

Shame crept into his tone as he chastised himself for even having that thought. He had been immersed in the world of wealth and deception for so long that his instincts had turned cynical. Maybe it was time to cut back on the drinking and gambling.

"Correct, sir. Was there a misunderstanding?"

Tony coughed. "Nope. Just making sure. Alright, Jarvis, locate Leon's position."

"I'm afraid that's difficult, sir. Master Leon's current speed exceeds Mach 20."

"He's moving that fast? Fine. Then track his next destination."

"Understood, sir."

Five minutes later, Tony hovered over a ruined Eagle base. He stared at the icy wasteland below, where soldiers huddled under thick blankets, awaiting rescue.

"Jarvis, you said Leon was here?"

"Yes, sir. This was his destination five minutes ago. He left three minutes ago."

Tony groaned. "You could've mentioned that sooner. Fine. What's his next target? No—let's go to his last target."

His eyes narrowed. "If he's planning to wipe out all the bases, I need to get ahead of him and take out the final one myself."

Leon's strategy was easy to deduce—obliterate the Eagle's military infrastructure without directly engaging their troops. No mass casualties, just total devastation of their ability to maintain a presence.

It aligned with Tony's own approach… except his plan had been less extreme. He only intended to destroy their weapons and supplies, not everything.

"Sir, I'll guide you there, but you seem displeased," Jarvis observed.

"Damn right I am."

"Master Leon eliminated the Ten Rings bases for you, dismantled the Eagle bases to vent your frustration—"

"And that's exactly the problem!" Tony interrupted. "I should be the one doing this! I should be the one protecting him!"

"Legally speaking, sir, you are Master Leon's brother."

"That's what makes it worse!" Tony gritted his teeth. "Speed up, Jarvis. We need to hit that last base before he does."

"Yes, sir."

Despite Tony's determination, his effort was ultimately futile.

By the time he arrived at the last Eagle base, all that remained was another frozen ruin. His battle-ready mindset evaporated, leaving him feeling colder than the soldiers trembling below.

"Jarvis… where is he?"

"Above you, sir."

Tony snapped his head up just in time to see Leon descending, his cape billowing behind him.

"Tony, you finally made it," Leon greeted with a smirk. "I was starting to think you'd show up after I took a nap."

Tony scowled. "You woke me up, had Jarvis drag me out here, and then just steamrolled ahead like a runaway train! You left me nothing!"

Leon shrugged. "I told Jarvis to let you know—if you wanted revenge, head west. There are plenty of Ten Rings leftovers there."

"That's not the same thing!"

"Why not? Bad guys are bad guys. None of them have labels on their foreheads."

Leon's gaze flicked to the nearby Super Mark I armor, still under Jarvis' control. "But I see you're serious this time. You even brought my old suit. Planning for a long campaign?"

"A 'campaign' where the enemies either die or freeze to death?" Tony huffed, igniting his thrusters. "Fine. I'm heading west. The rest of the Ten Rings are mine."

Afghanistan was already secured, but Tony needed to do something. He couldn't undo the damage his past mistakes had caused, but he could at least try to balance the scales.

Even if it was just to satisfy his own conscience.

"Alright," Leon nodded. "I won't interfere over there for now. But don't take too long—I'll be making lunch at home."

"Then maybe you should plan for dinner!" Tony shot back, launching into the sky.

Leon chuckled, shaking his head. But before he could say more, his gaze lifted, piercing through the clouds.

Hundreds of kilometers above, a cluster of satellites moved in unison.

"That was fast."

He sighed before shouting up at Tony, "Hey! My Superman persona is attracting attention. Don't contact me in uniform for now—you don't want to get caught up in the political mess!"

Tony, already soaring westward, waved a hand in acknowledgment.

Leon exhaled. Things were about to get complicated.
