Superman - Rise of an Empire

Chapter 23: Chapter 24 – The Rebels Strike Back

The world had grown too quiet.

Superman's surveillance network, once an all-seeing eye, now flickered with blind spots. Cities that had been under constant monitoring now had areas of darkness—places where Superman could no longer track every movement, every whisper, every defiant thought.

And the Free Legion was about to exploit that.

Phase Two – Expose the Truth

In a hidden bunker beneath Gotham City, Oliver Queen, Barry Allen, and Dinah Lance stood before a massive digital screen.

Cyborg's voice crackled through the comms.

"I'm in," he said. "We have 30 minutes before the system reboots."

On the screen, thousands of classified files from Superman's global government scrolled past.

Records of secret arrests. Leaders who disappeared. Cities rebuilt with Kryptonian technology—but at what cost?

Barry's fists clenched as he skimmed through them.

"He… he rewrote history." His voice was low, almost disbelieving. "People think this world is perfect because they don't know what he erased."

Dinah exhaled sharply. "Then let's give them back the truth."

She nodded to Oliver, who pressed a single button.

Within seconds, the hidden files flooded the world's networks.

Governments, news agencies, underground resistance groups—everyone saw the truth at once.

Screens flickered in Metropolis. In Gotham. In Themyscira.

People saw the missing leaders, the erased rebellions, the cities Superman had reshaped according to his vision.

It was no longer a whispered conspiracy.

It was fact.

Superman Reacts

In the Hall of Justice, Superman stood before a massive holographic display as the classified files leaked across the world.

His jaw tightened.

"Who?" His voice was low, dangerous.

Lois stood nearby, watching with cautious eyes. "You knew this would happen eventually," she said. "The truth always comes out, Clark."

Superman's eyes glowed faintly red.

"This isn't about truth," he said coldly. "This is about control."

Then, the Fortress alarm sounded.

Another explosion.

Another attack.

The Free Legion wasn't stopping.

Phase Three – Take the Hall of Justice

While the world reeled from the leaked files, Batman led the next move.

At the edge of Metropolis, a team of rebels gathered under the cover of darkness.

Bruce adjusted his gauntlet, his expression unreadable.

"Tonight, we take back the Hall of Justice."

Green Arrow nocked an explosive arrow. "About damn time."

Behind them, Black Canary, The Flash, Cyborg, and a strike team of former government operatives waited for the signal.

Superman had built his empire from this place. If they could cripple its command center, they could turn the tide.

But Superman wouldn't let it fall without a fight.
