Ke Mingye sat on a public bench at the abandoned train station, his head drooping as he aimlessly maneuvered the blue owl above and shook his legs in boredom.

"Logically, with Ke Youqing on vacation, the criminals hiding in this city should have started making bold moves. Finding someone to kill as a warning shouldn't be that hard, right?" he thought.

After a while, he looked up and sighed.

"Fine. If I really can't find any criminals, then it's your turn to step up."

As he spoke, Ke Mingye released the second Deception Puppet beside his chair and fitted a web shooter on the puppet's wrist.

The strange thing turned its head from the public bench, its lips curling up slightly, its hollow eyes reflecting Ke Mingye's face.

If it wasn't necessary, Ke Mingye really didn't want the blue owl to start its debut with a fake fight, especially a fake fight with the strange thing—it was a sensitive figure in the eyes of his brother and father. Under such circumstances, getting involved with the strange thing right after appearing might arouse suspicion among these old folks about the blue owl.

"Wait, there seems to be another way."

As Ke Mingye mulled over it, an idea suddenly struck him, and he opened his contact list.

When in doubt, call the nanny.

[Failed Man: Are you there, Hacker-girl?]

[Cai Bing: What do you want? I'm busy with that customer service job to avoid drawing attention to my identity.]

[Failed Man: Help me check if there are any super criminals or criminal activities happening near the center of Huanjing.]

[Cai Bing: Wow, you really do treat me like your nanny, don't you?]

[Failed Man: No, but it should be simple for you, right?]

[Cai Bing: Actually, I was bored earlier and hacked into a crime organization's network, watched their activities for a while. They are planning to rob the Huanjing YGA Central Bank tonight. Interested?]

[Failed Man: You should have said so earlier.]

[Cai Bing: Hold on really, who is begging whom here?]

[Failed Man: Ever heard of a community of fate? Enough said, I'm off to fight crime.]

[Cai Bing: I sent you their route plan. Be careful, one of them is a modified human, a tough character.]

[Failed Man: No worries. Just remember to find a hidden live broadcast to watch my show.]

[Cai Bing: Do something cool, don't bore me to sleep.]

........

........

Huanjing YGA Central Bank, Huanjing.

Fashion billboards and electronic signs emitted neon glows of varying hues. Bright tones and cool tones of light converged on the glass curtain walls and refracted, painting the silhouettes of pedestrians in multicolored lights.

Not far away, a white van painted with the logo of a food and beverage company slowly drove in, entering the light-polluted street.

"Let's confirm one last time, is the intel solid?"

Inside the van, a grim voice emanated from the passenger seat. The speaker, named Lester, had an eye patch over his left eye, a beard on his jaw, and a rugged face.

The driver, Li Fu, turned the steering wheel and said, "Absolutely sure. Qing Ya hasn't shown up for a week. Either he's dead, or he's on some important mission in another city."

"Start," said Lester.

Upon hearing this, Li Fu didn't hesitate to slam down on the brake pedal. The van stopped right in front of the bank, then he pushed the door open and got out.

Bang!

At the same time, the doors of the cargo area were kicked open; nearly six masked robbers jumped out, rushed into the bank with AK-47s, and pulled the trigger on the security guards.

The sound of gunfire instantly filled the street, popping the bubble that lingered in the neon light, scattering the pedestrians in screams. Someone in the distance dialed the Superhero Association, but for some unknown reason, the phone suddenly sparked and bounced off the ground.

The LED lights and fashion advertisement screens within a hundred meters flickered erratically, and the traffic lights stopped working, sparking as if they were being interfered with.

Lester shed his black coat, revealing solid muscles. He got out of the van, his massive hands twisting and transforming like machinery, recalibrating piece by piece until they turned into two dark muzzles.

He charged into the bank. Shrugging off the security's gunfire, he advanced step by step. The pewter bullets that pelted his body were like light rain, not even scratching him.

He then raised his arms, and dark cannonballs burst forth from the muzzles his hands had turned into.

The next moment, cannonballs penetrated the intense gunfire and struck the security guards, causing explosions of fire. In coordination with the other robbers' firepower, after a barrage, the bank's security was completely overwhelmed.

Lester moved to the bank's vault, his hands morphing again into a huge chainsaw, with blue flames fluttering on the fast-spinning chain.

Standing in front of a metal door, he swung the chainsaw forward. The chainsaw chain, ablaze with blue flames, vibrated violently as it cut through the vault's door.

Like a beast tearing through its prey, ripping out bones and innards.

After a while, a circular crack was formed on the vault door.

Lester retracted the chainsaw, his hands returned to normal, and then he kicked at the crack. The steel plate caved effortlessly inward, falling onto the floor inside the vault.

Suddenly, a massive fissure formed in the vault door.

Apart from Li Fu and two other robbers who were still outside the bank subduing the crowd, the remaining four robbers near the vault rushed inside through the fissure.

They bent down and rapidly filled their bags with endless paper money, as if wielding scythes harvesting a field of wheat during the harvest season.

Soon after, Li Fu hurried into the bank from the outside, lowering his gun and growling, "Enough, quick! I've jammed the nearby signals, but the Superhero Association will still send people soon."

"What's the hurry? Qing Ya isn't here, what can other superheroes do anyway?"

Lester retorted coldly.

"Just in case."

Li Fu hesitated, then added cautiously.

"Alright, let's go!"

One of the robbers in the vault yelled.

As his words fell, four robbers carrying full sacks jumped over the gap, rushed out of the vault, fired into the air, and quickly walked out of the bank.

Lester and Li Fu walked side by side, respectively taking the passenger and driver's seats. The other six robbers climbed into the cargo truck's compartment and shut the large door.

"Where to next?" Lester asked.

"To the port, to meet up with the organization. There's a ship waiting for us," Li Fu said as he inserted the key, shifted the gear, and pressed down hard on the accelerator.

The cargo truck roared forward like a furious beast, its murky white headlights illuminating the pitch-dark road. The lights for a hundred meters around were extinguished; only the moonlight falling from the night sky provided any light.

"So boring, no trash showed up today to block our way," Lester said.

"Isn't that a good thing?" Li Fu replied.

At that moment, they suddenly heard an abnormal noise from behind. Li Fu looked up at the rearview mirror, where a figure appeared.

The reflection in the mirror provided a dynamic visual impact.

The figure was dressed in a battle suit with bright and saturated colors, primarily red with blue accents, creating a bold and aggressive visual contrast.

The intertwining of red and blue across the chest, shoulders, and outer arms not only enhanced the vitality of the outfit but also made the suit dazzling even in an environment where one could barely see their hand in front of their face.

It was like a painting full of life.

The design of the helmet was particularly unique, with the eye sockets covered by red lenses. Through the lenses, a pair of bright eyes could be seen. A red and blue beak extending from the bridge of the nose looked as sharp as a blade, exuding an aggressive aura.

Though the lines and patterns on the bodysuit were rough, they highlighted the curves of the muscles, outlining a sense of agile and robust strength.

This uninvited guest was relentlessly pursuing them. Judging from his running speed, he had far exceeded human limits, resembling a red and blue cheetah.

"Who is this character?" Lester asked.

Li Fu furrowed his brow: "Looking at the outfit, he must be some superhero imitating Qing Ya. He shouldn't be able to catch up to us; no need to worry."

As he spoke, his pupils subtly shrank as he saw the red and blue figure suddenly double his pace, a deep blue arc of light swept under the lenses.

[Skill"E-grade Safety Limits Release" activated: Your body breaks through its safety limits, temporarily enhancing physical fitness attributes.]

At that moment, Blue Owl had released his body's safety limits, stomping fiercely on the asphalt road, sprinting forward like a red and blue illusion, leaving deep footprints in his wake.

Suddenly, the cargo truck's rear door was pushed open from the inside. Inside the open compartment, six masked robbers raised their AK-47 rifles and pulled the triggers at the relentlessly pursuing Blue Owl.

Bang, bang, bang—!!!

The muffled gunfire, unprocessed by silencers, tore through the night, illuminating the ashen streets.

A barrage of bullets surged towards Blue Owl, but at that moment, he stomped on the ground with his right foot. His figure, like a red and blue bullet, shot towards the traffic light above to his right, avoiding the onslaught of bullets.

He then kicked off the surface of the traffic light, like a flash of lightning, catapulting towards a high-rise building's glass curtain wall. He moved diagonally across the surface of the curtain wall, running through the air.

The glass of the curtain wall seemed not to react until Blue Owl had stepped on them, and only two seconds later did cracks spread and shatter noisily.

Whoosh!

As pieces of glass rained down, Blue Owl stepped onto a flickering electronic billboard.

As he ran, the red and blue beak on his helmet glittered with cold arcs under the scattering sparks.

Finally, he pounced forward, landing atop a fashion advertisement billboard.

Then, using the billboard as a jumping board, his legs forcefully kicked off, shooting his figure across the sky over the street like a red and blue arrow, immediately surpassing the speeding cargo truck.

Blue Owl landed on the ground, blocking the truck's path. His feet stamped out a fractured crater on the ground, from which spider-web-like cracks spread outwards.

In the middle of the intersection, Blue Owl slowly raised his head, and his eyes behind the lenses reflected the large cargo truck charging towards him.

"Just hit him at full speed; I want to see how much he can take," Lester said coldly from the passenger seat.

"I know."

Li Fu on the driver's seat pressed his face down and floored the accelerator; the truck lunged forward like a monstrous beast.

At that moment, Blue Owl stood motionless right in front of the truck.

His gaze was locked on the truck's passenger seat, specifically on Lester.

Lester met his gaze, as if mocking his ignorance. Even the most powerful superheroes couldn't necessarily stop a truck at full speed.

It would require a force of over ten tons.

For a nobody to dare stand in front, it was simply an act of overestimating oneself.

The moment the truck was less than three meters away from Blue Owl, the murky white headlights illuminated his red and blue blended beak, his eyes filled with mockery.

Finally, just one second before the truck would have hit him, a cool voice flashed through Blue Owl's mind, and his figure vanished from the spot.

[Target positioned within an eight meter range: "Lester" targeted for E-grade skill "Phase Transfer".]

"He disappeared?"

In the blink of an eye, Lester, who was originally sitting in the passenger seat, found himself suddenly appearing on the road.

In the intersection, the headlights like unbearable suns, illuminated Lester's startled face. Then, the huge front of the truck, like a robust rhino's horn, came crashing directly at him.

It mercilessly rolled towards his body.
