Chapter 298: Major Family Events III: Night of the Witch (Part 13)_4

Her expression conveyed less fear and more of a bewildered dismay.

The reason was simple. At this moment, even the most ordinary Magical Girl would understand just how terrifying the Magic Power concentrated on the cross truly was.

It was like a miniature black hole, one that would crush anything that dared come too close.

In fact, other than being crushed to bits... they could hardly imagine anything else occurring.

"If this continues, the whole city will..."

Kokonoe Sakura murmured to herself.

Just then, Liu Huazi, who was beside her, suddenly said, "Miss, if it's possible, I will do everything in my power to ensure you survive, even if it's just you alone."

Kokonoe Sakura was stunned for a moment, then turned back in the raging wind, raised her hand, and ruffled Liu Huazi's curly hair.

She hooked up the corners of her mouth and whispered softly, "People from the Amemiya Family don't flee from battle."

Liu Huazi bowed her head, tears quietly sliding down from the corners of her eyes. Biting her teeth, she cried like a child, wailing loudly.

"Shall we give it a try? Get closer to that cross."

As Qili spoke, she lowered the brim of her cowboy hat and walked over.

Behind her, Yuffie, the Magical Girl from Iceland, pulled out the bow-shaped Magic Wand from her back, creating a Magic Power arrow, then lifted her aurora-like blue eyes to gaze at the Ember Witch in the eye of the storm.

She said, "I can try shooting an arrow at her... see if I can kill her."

"If you dare to do so, I will chop off your hand at the first opportunity."

The Black Judge, with his head lowered, however, kept his eyes fixated on the arrow in Yuffie's hands, his hoarse, shady voice coming from behind the blood-red V-shaped mask.

Lilai, covering her injured right arm, walked over and said in a low voice, "Don't worry, her arrow can't penetrate the storm... let alone her, even you—the Black Judge of the Management Bureau, with your power, wouldn't be able to pierce through that tempest."

She paused: "Even without Magic Power, you should be able to feel how strong that stance is."

The Black Judge remained silent for a while, then lifted his eyes to the grey-blue cocoon of Magic Power that enveloped the Ember Witch.

Standing behind the Black Judge, Yuffie blinked slightly, "So we can only wait for death?"

Lilai averted her gaze.

"Perhaps..."

Hearing such a despairing judgment from one of the three leaders, the hearts of the Magical Girls on top of the train turned cold, and their eyes became somewhat dim.

The fierce wind howled overhead, but what enveloped the train was a prolonged silence.

The figures of everyone were slightly disheveled by the wind.

Yuffie lowered her dark purple eyes, silent for a long time, "Dying beside Mr. Judge might not be so bad."

The Black Judge bowed his head, deep in thought for a moment, then side-eyed the silent Lan Ou on the sleigh.

He turned to Ziyue and said, "Ziyue, use the Time-Space Train to take him away, while I try to stop this..."

Before he could finish, Ziyue retorted, "I'm sorry, my Time-Space Train is heavily damaged, and I can't move it anywhere right now."

The Black Judge was stunned for a moment, then slowly raised his head and lifted his right hand clad in black gloves. A hundred meters apart, his fingers came together, slowly pointing towards the figure at the center of the storm.

Countless tiny, dark floating materials rose up, accumulating into a small sphere.

Looking at the girl on the cross, the Black Judge fell silent for a long time, his right hand slowly dropping down, the dark spherical shape at the fingertips faintly dispersing, scattering like raindrops on the ground, creating tiny pits "eroding" the top of the train.

He took steps towards the Christmas sleigh parked on top of the train, lowering his eyes, staring at Lan Ou.

"By the authority of an officer of the Management Bureau, I command you, Commissioner Lan Ou, to leave this place with me immediately."

Lan Ou was silent, slowly lifting his eyes, looking at the Black Judge's V-shaped mask through his glasses.

The Black Judge coldly said, "If you do not comply with the order, I have the rightful authority to use force..."

Looking at Lan Ou's iron-like silent eyes, Ke Yinzhi's words abruptly stopped, hesitating for a moment, wondering if his younger brother... could also show such an expression?

Yet, even so, since he couldn't ensure the safety of Bai Zini and the city, the first thing he should do was to send Mingye away.

"One last time... leave with me."

The Black Judge slowly stated, as if speaking to Ke Mingye, or perhaps... to himself.

"I won't leave... and I can't leave."

Ke Mingye paused for a moment, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on the girl on the cross, his lips barely moving.

"She's waiting for me."

As his words fell, a moment of deathly silence engulfed the top of the Time-Space Train, and then, the girl in the Christmas skirt standing at the forefront spoke:

"You've said it yourself, I can do it... I can turn her back from a witch."

As she spoke, she slightly turned her face, her ice-blue eyes looking at Ziyue.

"I did say that, but you'd die if you tried to get close to the cross..."

"You must have a way to let me get close."

At these words, Ziyue slowly turned his face, gently asking, "...even if there's a possibility of dying here?"

"Even if death is certain," Red Hat said, her voice steady.

Looking at the expression on her face, Ziyue silently contemplated for a while before conjuring a Magic book, from which he pulled out a card and handed it to the girl in the Christmas skirt.

Red Hat looked at the card, the pattern on its face depicting a Magical Girl enveloped at the center of a crowd.
