Superman's Saiyan little brother

Chapter 409: Chapter 409: Servants and Heart-Piercing Murder

"Yes!" The subordinates responded in unison, turning around to begin researching Mephisto. They wanted to find out more about Mephisto's background. Although they had already started this investigation, the urgency had now increased significantly.

After all, they had already paid a significant price and might even be targeted by Tony Stark. If they couldn't establish contact with Mephisto, they would suffer huge losses, not to mention the loss of those warplanes and the Church's trump cards!

"Tsk tsk tsk, you're looking for me?" As the subordinates left, the room fell silent. After an indeterminate amount of time, a voice suddenly echoed in the room. The owner of the voice was none other than Mephisto.

Previously, Robert had known that various factions were monitoring the battlefield he was in, so he had mentioned Mephisto's name, leveraging the characteristics of this hell lord to make many people call out Mephisto's name.

Robert did this not just to annoy Mephisto but more importantly to identify the disgusting human high-ranking officials behind the scenes.

Robert knew that finding these guys would be very difficult for him, but for Mephisto, it was no big deal. Moreover, Robert didn't think Mephisto would take a fancy to or spare ordinary humans...

"You! You are the Lord of Hell?!" The official bigwig, an elderly man named Pruck, trembled upon hearing Mephisto's voice. He wanted to stand up but found himself unable to move under the overwhelming pressure.

Pruck himself was an official bigwig with an imposing presence that ordinary people could not match. However, his own aura was a joke compared to Mephisto's.

At this moment, Pruck deeply understood that in the face of true power, status was utterly worthless. Even though he had been very greedy before, when actually facing Mephisto, he couldn't even muster the greed in his heart!

More importantly, Pruck also had his own trump cards, but at this moment, he was incapable of using them. It was as if he had lost the ability to act entirely...

"Yes, I am the Lord of Hell you mentioned, and also the Mephisto you have been calling out to. Why have you been calling my name?" Mephisto looked at Pruck, smiling and nodding. The hellfire on his body slowly extinguished, revealing a clown's appearance.

Although Mephisto wasn't very satisfied with the clown's appearance, this form was quite intimidating to ordinary people. Hence, Mephisto withdrew his power and began to slowly heal the clown's injuries.

As one of Mephisto's Ghost Riders, the clown's body, like the clown car, was hard to destroy or kill. However, after being beaten by Robert for so long, even a Ghost Rider found it hard to withstand.

Pruck might not notice anything, but if Robert were here, he could easily tell that Mephisto was already somewhat weakened. If someone could attack Mephisto now, he would have no choice but to flee hastily.

"You know I called your name?" Pruck's eyes flashed with surprise. Mephisto's appearance was enough to shock him, and now that Mephisto knew he had called his name, if not for Mephisto losing to Robert and being somewhat battered, Pruck might have thought Mephisto was an omniscient and omnipotent god.

"So, why did you call my name? Do you want to become my servant?" Mephisto saw Pruck's surprised expression and asked with a mocking smile.

"Servant? No! No! No!" Hearing Mephisto's words, Pruck was stunned for a moment and hurriedly explained, "I just want to make a deal with Mr. Mephisto, not become your servant!"

Had it not been for his inability to move, Pruck's reaction would have been even more intense, perhaps even calling his subordinates in...

Unfortunately, Pruck still couldn't move, and he didn't know that his subordinates couldn't enter his room unless Mephisto allowed it.

"Oh? You want to make a deal with me? What do you want from me?" Mephisto already guessed Pruck's purpose but didn't say it, looking at him with a smile.

"Eternal life!" Pruck's eyes gleamed with excitement as he looked at Mephisto, "I want to obtain the eternal life you spoke of!"

"And what price are you willing to pay?" Mephisto wasn't surprised at all by Pruck's request because it was within his expectations. He raised an eyebrow and asked softly.

"Price? I can pay any price! My wealth... Right, you're a demon, you want lives and souls, right? How many do you want? I can give them all to you!" Pruck initially planned to offer his wealth but quickly remembered Mephisto's nature and hurriedly corrected himself.

"As many souls as I want? How many souls can you harvest?" Mephisto didn't expect Pruck to know how to make a deal with him, which made him curious.

Mephisto could clearly feel that Pruck also possessed the Church's extraordinary power but did not have any demonic power, which meant Pruck probably learned about demons through the Church.

"So, how many souls can you provide me?" Mephisto's eyes flashed with interest as he looked at Pruck.

"How many souls?" Pruck hesitated for a moment and then started to offer, "Hmm, a hundred souls? Five hundred? A thousand?"

"Haha." Mephisto laughed and didn't interrupt. As a hell lord, he knew this was far from Pruck's bottom line!

Especially given Pruck's apparent high status, harvesting others' souls would be impossible for ordinary people, but for Pruck, it was not difficult at all.

In Pruck's eyes, many people's lives were insignificant. He had countless ways to take those lives and complete his deal with Mephisto!

Sometimes, humans might be more demonic than demons. Only a hell lord like Mephisto could calmly watch Pruck's bargaining, as if those souls were just meat in a market.

"One hundred thousand! One hundred thousand souls, all for you! How about that?" After raising the price, Pruck saw no reaction from Mephisto. He gritted his teeth and offered his limit.

There was no choice. Mephisto was the buyer in this market, and Pruck wanted eternal life so badly he was willing to give everything to Mephisto.

"Alright." Realizing this was Pruck's limit, Mephisto slowly nodded. A contract formed between Mephisto and Pruck. Mephisto smiled and said, "Look, you give me one hundred thousand souls, and I give you eternal life. Fair trade, no regrets, okay?"

"Swish!" As Pruck looked at the contract, he suddenly found himself able to move again. Overjoyed, he took the contract, only to feel a sharp pain in his finger, and a drop of blood fell onto the contract.

"Buzz!" The contract emitted a bright light and then disappeared into Pruck's body.

"What... what's happening?!" Even with a slow reaction, Pruck realized something was wrong. He gritted his teeth and asked Mephisto.

"Relax, it's nothing serious. Just the completion of our contract!" Mephisto shrugged with a smile, completely ignoring Pruck's anger. Once again, he achieved his goal of taking everything.

"Someone, come in!" Pruck shouted, trying to call his subordinates in, but there was no response from outside. It was as if his voice couldn't be heard.

Now, Pruck was panicking. He swallowed hard, cold sweat dripping from his forehead, and his fear of Mephisto grew.

It was an involuntary fear. The more Pruck looked at Mephisto, the more he felt the urge to submit, to kneel forever as Mephisto's servant.

This was clearly not Pruck's original intent, but it was uncontrollable because this was the power of the contract.

Pruck hadn't had the chance to see the details of the contract, but it was clear he was destined to become Mephisto's servant, and those one hundred thousand souls were non-negotiable...

"Relax, I just gave you what you wanted. Now, why don't you show your new self?" Mephisto said with a light smile, looking at the terrified Pruck.

"Buzz!" As Mephisto's words fell, Pruck's body began to swell. His clothes ripped apart, and his appearance became more ferocious, even growing demonic horns.

Yes, Pruck was transforming into a demon. Mephisto granted him eternal life at the cost of everything Pruck had, turning him into a demonic creature.

In Mephisto's eyes, compared to humans, demons had a higher life level. Mephisto's actions didn't break his promise. Now, Pruck's life was indeed much longer than before...

"Roar! Master!" After a while, the transformation was complete. Pruck, now a demon, knelt on the ground, declaring his loyalty to Mephisto.

"Good. But remember, you promised me one hundred thousand souls. And I need you to do something..." Mephisto looked at Pruck's new form and nodded in satisfaction.

"Yes, Master! The one hundred thousand souls will be delivered soon. What else do you command?" The mention of one hundred thousand souls no longer bothered Pruck. He respectfully knelt, waiting for Mephisto's new orders.

"Do you know who that Saiyan is?" Mephisto's eyes flashed with cold light as he remembered his previous setbacks against Robert, fueling his anger.

Mephisto decided to first find out Robert's identity. After completing his mission on Earth, he would deal with Robert.

Not by

directly confronting Robert, but by targeting his friends and family, using a more efficient method to deal with Robert. This approach, which kills both the person and crushes their spirit, was Mephisto's preferred method.

Facing Robert, who had repeatedly disrupted his plans, Mephisto had thought of countless ways to deal with him, and now Pruck was his breakthrough!

"I have a lot of information on the Saiyan. Although I haven't identified his true identity, he is closely associated with Steve and Tony Stark. Initially, it wasn't certain if he was part of the Avengers, but now it is clear that they are together!" Pruck shared all the information he had on Robert, though it wasn't very useful to Mephisto.

The only useful piece of information was Robert's connection to the Avengers, which Mephisto already suspected. From meeting Steve to Robert's appearance, the timeframe was short, suggesting a special communication method among the Avengers...

"Forget it, we'll discuss this later!" Mephisto decided to temporarily set aside dealing with Robert. He instructed Pruck, "The one hundred thousand souls, deliver them to me as soon as possible. This is the ritual to contact me, it will absorb the one hundred thousand souls on its own, you don't need to worry..."

"Buzz!" As Mephisto finished speaking, a demonic mark appeared on Pruck's forehead, making him even more respectful. When Pruck looked up again, Mephisto was already gone...
