SUPREME ARCH-MAGUS

Chapter 694: The Real Master of Poisons!

The mention of Kent brought a wave of murmurs through the crowd. People turned to look toward the inner chambers of the Music Hall, where Kent had shut himself away days ago.

Fatty frowned. "Kent is in the middle of something important. You know he's practicing seriously in an enlightened state. We can't disturb him."

The Storm Knight's eyes flashed with urgency. "This is no time for hesitation. The situation is dire. If Kent doesn't intervene, that poison will touch this music hall soon."

A woman from the crowd spoke up, her voice trembling. "But Kent's enlightenment can't be disturbed as he might face backlash. If we interrupt him now…"

Fatty raised his hand to silence her. "The decision is not yours or mine to make. If we wake Kent now, we risk losing the insight he's gaining. So, I won't let anyone disturb him now."

The Storm Knight clenched his fists, his patience wearing thin. "I understand the risks, but this poison is spreading faster than the gods can contain it. Time is not on our side."

Fatty looked back at the closed chamber doors where Kent meditated. He sighed heavily, his mind racing with the weight of the decision. "We'll hold off for now. Kent wouldn't want to be interrupted unless it's absolutely necessary. The gods are already working on the problem, and they're far stronger than us."

The Storm Knight's expression was conflicted, but he finally nodded. "Very well. But know this—if the gods falter, we won't have a choice but to call for him."

As the tension hung thick in the air, the Eternal Music Hall remained suspended, a silent witness to the looming danger ahead.

Inside the Chamber of Enlightenment..

The chamber was bathed in an ethereal glow as the Poison Tome floated before Kent, its ancient pages turning on their own. The air crackled with energy, the faint hum of power resonating through the room. Kent sat cross-legged, his brows furrowed in intense focus, golden light swirling around him.

The final chapter of the tome, the 13th world consuming poison, known as the Eternal Lunar Poison, was unlike anything Kent had ever encountered. The words seemed alive, shifting and rearranging themselves in ancient patterns and symbols as if challenging him to understand their depth.

"The twelve world-consuming poisons... all mastered. But this... this is beyond comprehension. The Eternal Lunar Poison... a poison born of celestial origins. To master it requires... sacrifice?!" Kent muttered to himself, his voice low but steady.

His hands moved instinctively, mimicking the process of concocting the deadly toxin. Phantom cauldrons and flasks shimmered in the air before him, reflecting his mental projections.

"The manual says sacrifice is necessary to save a life from Eternal Lunar Poison," Kent continued, his tone defiant. "But there must be another way. No poison is without its counter. No venom without its cure. If I can unlock the antidote... then even this poison can be controlled."

The glyphs on the tome's pages glowed brighter as if reacting to Kent's determination. Yet, the instructions remained cryptic.

Kent's mind raced. "The antidotes for celestial poisons often require celestial flames... but what flame could withstand the eternal cold of lunar essence?"

He closed his eyes, his consciousness diving deeper into his spiritual sea. Memories of the Phoenix God's Original Nirvanic Flames surfaced.

"Nirvanic flames!" Kent's eyes snapped open. "The flames of rebirth and purity. They can purge any impurity, even something as devastating as the Eternal Lunar Poison. But... can they merge with an antidote?"

Kent began weaving the ingredients in his mind's projection. Lunar essence swirled before him like a silver mist, clashing with the golden Nirvanic flames. The two energies resisted each other violently, but Kent's will was unwavering. His hands moved with precision, controlling the volatile elements.

"Come on... stabilize!" he muttered through gritted teeth. The clash of energies intensified, shaking the chamber. The light around him grew blinding, forcing him to shield his eyes momentarily.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the silver mist and golden flames merged into a brilliant orb of radiant crimson energy.

Kent exhaled sharply, his voice trembling with relief. "I've done it. An antidote for the Eternal Lunar Poison—one that doesn't require sacrifice."

The moment the antidote solidified in his mind, the Poison Tome began to burn. Its pages turned to ash, the ancient glyphs spiraling upward like wisps of smoke before disappearing into space.

"What's happening?" Kent whispered, startled. Continue reading at My Virtual Library Empire

The chamber's light dimmed, and Kent suddenly felt a strange pull. His consciousness expanded beyond the physical realm, the boundaries of the universe unraveling before him.

In the infinite void, a figure materialized. An old man with snow-white skin that glowed softly and hands as dark as obsidian stood before Kent. His eyes held the weight of countless eons, yet his presence was serene.

"So," the old man said, his voice echoing like a chorus of celestial hymns, "you are the one who finally solved it."

Kent rose to his feet, his gaze steady despite the awe-inspiring presence. "Who are you, elder?"

The old man smiled. "I am the creator of the Poison Tome, the one who charted the poisons of the cosmos and their cures. For millennia, I sought the antidote to the Eternal Lunar Poison, but it eluded even me. You have succeeded where I failed."

Kent's eyes widened. "You're... the Real Poison Master?"

The old man nodded. "Indeed. The Eternal Lunar Poison was my greatest failure, a creation born of my pride and hubris. I thought it impossible to counter without sacrifice. But you—your ingenuity, your refusal to accept limitations—have proven me wrong."

Kent clenched his fists. "I didn't do it for glory. I did it because I knew there had to be another way. Sacrifice shouldn't be the only answer."

The old man's smile grew wider. "And that is why you are worthy."

He raised a finger, pointing it at Kent's forehead. A surge of energy shot forth, enveloping Kent in a golden light.

"With this," the old man said, "I bestow upon you my life's work—every technique, every insight, every ounce of knowledge I have gained in mastering poisons. Use it wisely, Young Man."

As the light poured into Kent, his mind flooded with visions of ancient realms, countless experiments, and battles fought with venom and antidote. The weight of the knowledge was immense, but Kent absorbed it with unyielding resolve.

After what it felt like an eternity…

"Thank you," Kent said, his voice filled with newfound reverence.

The old man began to fade, his form dissolving into the void. "No... It is I who should thank you. You've given my work purpose, and you've ensured that the Eternal Lunar Poison will no longer bring unnecessary suffering. Farewell, young master of poisons."

As the old man vanished completely, the void around Kent collapsed, and he found himself back in the chamber. The golden glow around him slowly dimmed, leaving a profound silence.

Kent opened his eyes, his expression resolute. He looked at the empty space where the tome once floated.

Outside, the Eternal Music Hall remained still, its passengers waiting for Kent's emergence, unaware of the monumental enlightenment that had just occurred within.
