Chapter 72: Issue #4

Going back in time, we could see the group that stayed in the normal world when Inmo went to another dimension. They eventually reached a consensus that they would return to the empire to wait for him.

So the trio Diana, Franky, and Merlin went to Inmo's country. Franky led the way, sailing across the vast ocean until they reached his homeland. Franky navigated the country's rivers until reaching the central city, a feat nearly impossible for others.

Even if a person managed to overcome all the mental compulsions that should make them ignore this place or get lost in the vast forest, or even feel repulsed by entering it. After all this, there were still numerous traps, walls, and force fields. Thanks to the Observers' latest technological advancements, they were consistently faster than the rest of the world, so their studies continued without interruption.

Thus, their latest invention would soon see the light – a massive force field that would cover the entire Empire. This force field would separate the country from the rest of the world, altering the frequency at which the empire existed. So even if someone tried to enter, only a speed force user should be able to remain in the area.

Franky had already communicated with the council to inform them about what happened to Inmo, so they were already searching for the emperor's whereabouts.

Diana was nervous. At first, she thought she could soon complete her mission, but everything spiraled out of control with Inmo's disappearance. Now, she was in his house, the place that the Amazons called the "zone of death."

Her mother had always warned her that no matter what she did, she should never go through this area. It was a forbidden zone not only for gods but also for supernatural beings, a realm recognized by all as off-limits.

Diana had thought it would be a dark place filled with dead trees or erupting volcanoes with smoke everywhere. However, when she actually arrived there, she realized it was a beautiful place with pleasant weather, where the sun always shone high in the sky.

There were lush islands teeming with life all around, and when she reached the location, she could see from afar towering monuments that seemed to touch the sky, radiating light even in the morning.

Golden gates swung open, granting access to the city's pier. As she approached, Diana found it very strange what she was seeing – shadows moving back and forth from all sides, until she activated her speed and realized they were ordinary people going about their business.

They were doing normal things like shopping and working, but everyone was moving very quickly.

A person appeared, delivering a box to Franky. Upon opening it, two bracelets could be seen inside, similar to Inmo and Franky's.

Franky handed a bracelet to Merlin and Diana, saying, "Please, put these on." After both had the bracelets on, Franky continued, "This will allow you to maintain high speed just like the other citizens. Diana, even though you're already fast, the bracelet will help you conserve energy in this state."

Finally, Merlin could see what was happening. Although he had superior reflexes to humans, it was still a bit challenging to keep up with all those people. After finishing the explanation, Franky provided details about where they would stay and some peculiarities in the city, including what they should and shouldn't do.

As days passed, Diana got along well with everyone she interacted with. However, upon encountering the entertainment of the Observers, she quickly immersed herself in this new world full of fantastical stories from other realms.

She found some works that depicted her, and her story in those worlds was very different from her story in this world. Upon investigation, she discovered that these works were personally created by the Emperor, meaning that Inmo somehow knew about her even before meeting her.

This thought lingered in her mind, but she set it aside after a few days, knowing it would be the first thing she'd ask Inmo when he returned.

Merlin spent his time in the research field, and he found that a part of the empire was researching magic. They were still in the early stages but showed potential. Merlin decided to do them a favor and offer his assistance.

However, when he had direct contact with the researchers, he realized there were other ways to explore magic. Although legends spoke of the Book of Eternity holding great power, it did not contain all existing spells.

So Merlin had to delve deeper into magic to create new spells. The Observers didn't possess a vast library of magic, but the way they worked with information, their unique approach, and their innovative techniques opened up a different path for Merlin.

Thus, he ended up joining the research team, and the council knew that the Emperor trusted him, so they reached a consensus and allowed Merlin to be a part of it while he was here.

The Observers managed to locate Inmo. He mentioned he would be returning in a few days, and it seemed not to take long, as their system today detected a rift in reality.

The location was very close to the Empire. In fact, they soon saw in the sky above the city a blue portal emerging, casting light over the Empire's starry sky. Seconds later, everything returned to normal, and the light, as well as the portal, disappeared.

And there, in the starry sky, stood the figure everyone had been waiting for, immortal in his divine glory, arms crossed, his eyes seemingly glowing as he gazed down at the city below.
