Chapter 20: Chapter 19: The Plan
The weight of urgency pressed upon them as Lysandra, Mia, and the director gathered in the office, a large map of the academy spread across the table. Time was of the essence, and they needed a solid plan to save Caspian.
"We need some sort of diversion," the director said, gesturing to various parts of the map. "Something to distract the Order's attention from Caspian. If we can cause chaos in one area of the academy, it will give him a chance to escape."
Lysandra nodded, an idea already forming in her mind. "We could set off some magical fireworks in the courtyard. That would attract everyone's attention and create confusion."
Mia chimed in, "And while they're busy with that, we can slip into the meeting room to find Caspian." The director considered their suggestions.
"That could work, but we need to be careful. The Order likely has guards posted, and we must ensure we don't get caught in the crossfire."
A wave of determination surged through Lysandra. "I can create an illusion that makes it look like there are many of us when there aren't. It will confuse them even more."
"Very good," the director replied with a nod. "Now prepare for the mission; there isn't much time to lose."
With their supplies ready and preparations in place, Lysandra felt a mix of excitement and fear. She knew the danger they faced, but rescuing Caspian was too important to let fear hold her back.
As they crept through the darkened halls toward the courtyard, the air was thick with tension. Each step brought them closer to their goal—and to an uncertain fate that awaited them within the shadows of the academy.
They were ready to confront whatever awaited them in their quest to save Caspian and expose the dark secrets of the Order of the Black Rose.
