THE ALPHA BILLIONAIRE`S TROPHY BRIDE

Chapter 14: WHERE THE HELL AM I?

The ride back to Raphael's foyer was long and silent, Isabella remained unconscious, her head rested awkwardly against the window.

Niko drove with one hand on the wheel, the other clenching his thigh, her scent still lingered,

So this is what got Raphael hooked, this cannot be good, he thought bitterly, he was reminded of the BLOOD OATH CURSE and this sent shivers down his spine.

When they arrived, the gates opened, Niko parked near the front steps, he got out, walked around, and opened the back door, he paused for a second, staring down at her face as she was still unconscious, he scooped her up, and carried her inside.

Niko didn't stop walking until he reached the door to the basement, he opened it, stepped down into the dark, and kept going until he got to the room and placed her gently on the velvet chaise in the center and walked out without saying a word.

Some time passed and eventually, Isabella stirred, her body twitched, her fingers curled slightly as her eyes opened up slowly but everything was a blur, for a moment, she thought she was dreaming, the ceiling looked unfamiliar and the air smelled too clean.

She blinked hard, then again and her vision adjusted slowly.

The room was... beautiful, gold accents, warm lighting, thick curtains, tall bookshelves, It looked like a lounge, not a basement, this wasn't what she expected after being kidnapped like that, nothing about it felt like a prison, although it was.

Where the hell am I? she thought as her heart started to race.

Isabella sat up slowly with her head spinning a little, everything in the room felt warm and calm, but that only made it worse, she looked around and her mouth fell open!

This place was beautiful, way too beautiful!

The candles were lit all around, giving the room a soft glow, there were plants, fresh flowers, even a soft rug under her feet, the walls were painted cream, and the pillows were olive green and pastel pink, her exact favorite colors.

She blinked in confusion,

Then she saw a poster on the wall, it was one of her favorite pieces of art, one she'd only ever talked about once in a high school essay; and just beside the bed, sitting on a table, was a photo frame, she leaned closer and It was a photo of her when she was ten years old, standing barefoot in a garden with messy buns and ice cream on her face, that picture had never been posted online, not even once!

Her whole body went cold.

How is this here? what??

Her chest started to tighten and her eyes moved around the room faster now, catching more little things, a stuffed toy she used to love, a book she'd read three times, even her favorite vanilla and lavender scent in the air,

None of this was random...

This was planned, she thought, panic slowly crawling up her throat, they knew exactly what I liked, They knew everything!

Someone had studied her deeply, closely enough to make a room like this, one that felt like it was pulled straight out of her dreams, but it wasn't sweet, it was creepy and scary.

It made her feel trapped, her hands started to shake, she crossed her arms and stepped back from the bed and her back hit the wall.

Why would someone do all this? this isn't normal, this isn't okay.

something in her just snapped!

"No," she whispered with her voice cracking, then she got louder, "No, no, no...HELP! SOMEBODY HELP ME!"

She ran to the window and tried to open it, but it wouldn't budge, she pushed and pulled, but it was locked tight and sealed, she banged on it with her fists, tears forming in her eyes.

"HELP! PLEASE! SOMEONE HELP ME!"

She turned to the door and ran to it, slamming her fists against it over and over.

"LET ME OUT! PLEASE!"

She was screaming and crying and shouting as loud as she could, panic filled her chest, she felt so pathetic and useless and wondered how it would have been much easier for her to escape if she wasn't just a useless and pathetic omega who hasn't even shifted, for the first time, her spirit was weakened and she wondered MAYBE, just MAYBE her mother and her family were right about her...

I'm useless, she thought.

Her breath became short, her throat was hurting, but she didn't stop screaming and crying for help and suddenly, the door opened and standing there at the door was a man whom she barely saw, when he walked closer, she saw his face, he was tall, calm and had cold eyes...he was wearing a dark shirt with his sleeves rolled up, his face was too familiar!

Her breath caught in her throat when she discovered who he was,

I know him! I've seen him before...

and then it hit her, the job interview, the CEO at VOSS PHARMACEUTICALS, the one who kept asking her weird questions, this was him, Rafael Voss...she had heard so much about the Intelligent CEO behind VOSS PHARMA and the Ruthless alpha of the Nightbane pack that ruled the entire territory of New port, what she couldn't get herself to understand was what he wanted from her, a mere omega who never causes any trouble...Isabella hated her family all over again for this evil they had done to her.

Her heart dropped in total and absolute confusion.

"You," she whispered, backing away.

He stepped in slowly with his hands in his pockets,

"Welcome, Isabella," he said softly.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?" she yelled, voice cracking as she cried. "WHY AM I HERE?!"

She grabbed the nearest thing, it was a candle holder and threw it at him and it hit his chest but he didn't even budge, he even came closer.

"Isabella, I don't want to hurt you—"

"DON'T TOUCH ME!"

He reached out gently, like he actually thought she'd let him but obviously she didn't.

She slapped his hand away, spit right in his face, and shoved him back with everything she had.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!"

He paused and his face changed.

That calm, smooth look he had earlier melted off quickly,

He slowly wiped the spit off his cheek with the back of his hand his jaw clenched and his smile faded and Isabella felt it, but she didn't care, she still believed and hoped that there might be someone out there who could have saved her.

"Let me go!" she shouted at the top of her lungs with her voice shaking "You're crazy! Let me OUT! You can't do this to me!"

Tears streamed down her cheeks, but she stood her ground,

"I don't care who you are!" she cried, "I'm not scared of you!"

Rafael Smirked.
