Chapter 378: New Flying Witchcraft
In the Silver Chamber, Colin slowly opened his eyes and briskly walked upstairs.
A moment later, he reached the top floor of the villa.
On the expansive balcony, he looked out into the distance. In his view, a cluster of spire buildings—more than a dozen towers with pointed or domed tops, each a different color—came together to form a unique area: the Wizard Tower District in the Roon Kingdom.
And that white Wizard Tower in the very center was the location given by Anando's Dice.
This result had not surprised Colin.
In fact, his casting of Anando's Dice this time was just a routine matter.
If he wanted to hunt for treasure, he would probably have to cast Anando's Dice during the holidays when he could venture away from the crowds.
Unfortunately, his three days of holiday for this month had already been used ahead of time. To freely leave Neustadt City, he had to wait another month.
For the next few weeks, he guessed he could only cast Anando's Dice in the city and gradually make progress, much like the time he spent in Neustadt.
However, as he progressed, it became clear that Anando's Dice was increasingly difficult to advance, so much so that even if he included the Meditation Method and Breathing Skill, it still ranked as the slowest knowledge progression he had encountered.
Nonetheless, the accumulation of daily practice was not without effect; at least Colin's understanding of Anando's Dice had deepened.
This Exotic Skill had a stringent condition of being castable only once a week, and its outcomes were highly random.
At first, he thought Anando's Dice would prioritize displaying treasures closest to him.
But he had later discovered that it only showed the relatively closer ones.
Perhaps a treasure was merely a hundred meters away from him, but Anando's Dice might prompt a location ten kilometers away instead.
This had nothing to do with the quality of the treasure, and here, it must be mentioned that the criteria Anando's Dice used to judge treasures were also fluctuating.
It appeared to have a baseline, yet it was very flexible.
During his time in Neustadt City, Colin had even picked up a Magic Stone and a silk scarf made of exquisite materials through Anando's Dice.
Of course, more often than not, the treasure locations given out by Anando were situated at the residences of the various Schools.
'Speaking of which, that white Wizard Tower in the center, according to what Welber said, seems to be owned by Wizard Erwin.'
Back in the Silver Chamber.
Colin summoned the Golden Paper and, after a cursory glance, decided on the witchcraft he would focus on practicing today—Soaring and Flying Technique.
The progress of this witchcraft had reached 89/100, while its counterpart, the Light Flame Soaring Skill, had already broken through to golden.
Once he broke through with the Soaring and Flying Technique, the two could merge, and he anticipated they would bring him a new Flying Witchcraft!
Flying Witchcraft was, as of now, much more frequently used than before.
In Neustadt City, there were flying restrictions, but there were no such constraints in the Roon Kingdom; the Wizards were accustomed to flying for their daily commutes.
Of course, the primary purpose of improving his Flying Witchcraft was to fulfill the need to travel between Neustadt City and the Roon Kingdom.
Even though he had to control the duration of flight to conceal his strength, which meant regulating the time it took to reach Neustadt City from the Roon Kingdom, it didn't affect much. The improvement in Flying Witchcraft always genuinely saved him time.
In the Silver Chamber, Colin practiced with focused determination. Wisps of whistling wind would occasionally assault the room but were firmly constrained within the Silver Chamber.
......
The next day.
Since no one had assigned him any tasks, Colin woke up and continued practicing witchcraft according to plan.
But around ten o'clock in the morning.
The publicly recognized de facto leader of the Wizards in the Roon Kingdom—Second Rank Wizard Erwin—suddenly summoned him.
Colin set aside the witchcraft he was practicing and rushed to the white Wizard Tower he had just gazed upon the day before.
In the second floor's study, he met Erwin.
He was an old man with a stern face who seemed not to have used any age-defying Magic Potions or means, or perhaps he was truly of advanced years. In any case, Erwin's face was deeply lined, appearing at least as a mortal in his seventies would.
Erwin had neatly combed white hair, each strand neatly swept back. His yellow eyes were sharp, his expression serious, and together with a meticulous white Wizard Robe, Colin's expression became even more solemn.
Before Colin could ask, Erwin spoke first:
"If I remember correctly, you're called Colin Leonard, right?"
"Yes." Colin nodded calmly.
"Hmm, you can call me Erwin. I'm sorry for only having time to meet you now; I've been busy with a witchcraft experiment these past few days...
Of course, I think you might not be interested, so let's get straight to the point."
"You are from the Tin Saint School, aren't you?"
"Yes." Colin continued to nod.
"Tin Saint School, let me see..." Erwin flipped through a pile of documents on his desk, glanced at one, and raised his eyebrows: "You are a Golden Feather?"
Colin nodded lightly.
Erwin coughed lightly and continued sternly:
"Whether you are a Golden Feather or not, as long as you've come to the Roon Kingdom, you are a stationed Wizard here and need to follow my commands. Do you understand?"
"Hmm." Colin nodded subtly, showing no objection.
"Good, I hope you remember your answer today and also remember that I have the authority to send you back to Neustadt City."
