Chapter 381 Return
Evening.
In the Silver Chamber.
Colin was classifying the Knight Breathing Methods according to different characteristics one by one.
Half a month of careful reading had allowed him to clearly understand the content of all the breathing methods. Some, like the Sunlight Breathing Technique—a method he had already mastered—were even techniques he had begun to learn during his reading.
Among all 126 Knight Breathing Methods, ninety could be cultivated to the Great Knight Realm, including the Giant Mountain Breathing Method he had gotten from that burly young knight—Onions.
The remaining thirty-six Knight Breathing Methods were also fine products that could achieve the Advanced Knight level and, compared to those that reached the Great Knight level, they often had some unique aspects.
They could add special effects such as heat to the cultivated Blood Energy or allow the cultivator's body weight to be reduced.
These special but not body-modifying effects like Wizard witchcraft were very enlightening to Colin.
"There are ninety-six that reflect physical strength, seventy-eight that reflect Blood Energy, fifty-nine that combine both, fourteen with peculiar effects, and three Breathing Skills that encompass all three characteristics."
After a simple classification, Colin summarized in his mind, then looked over at the category on the far right, which only contained three books.
In this category, the top book, a pale blue one, was the White Wave Breathing Method; its Physical characteristics focused on agility, while its Blood Energy surged like waves. As for the special effect, it was water affinity.
But the White Wave Breathing Method had a notable drawback: it lacked content for the Great Knight stage.
That was the only one among these three without content for the Great Knight stage.
Setting aside the White Wave Breathing Method, Colin picked up the second Knight Breathing Method—the Giant Mountain Breathing Method.
This was the Breathing Skill acquired from Onions, the knight more than two meters tall.
Just like Onions's presentation, the Giant Mountain Breathing Method focused on strength, with Blood Energy as thick as mountains, while the special effect was physical magnification.
And this magnification wasn't simply enlargement; there was a remarkable improvement in bone density, muscle strength, and even nerve quantity compared to ordinary people and common Great Knights, as if it were a kind of evolution.
As for the last Breathing Method, it was called White Light; it focused on the senses, its Blood Energy was light and filmy, and the special effect was White Light Eyes, which could capture light invisible to the ordinary eye.
Aside from these three exceptional ones, the remaining Breathing Skills collected by the Roon Royal Family were also all fine products, worthy of being treated as heirlooms by ordinary people.
So many Knight Breathing Methods, to cultivate all of them... Colin hesitated. After pondering for a moment, he resumed selecting Breathing Skills.
In the end, excluding those with excessively strict cultivation requirements and overlapping effects, he was left with about sixty-nine Breathing Methods.
"Sixty-nine... That's also a big undertaking," Colin sighed.
But to ask him to give up some more Knight Breathing Methods was also an exceedingly difficult task.
The remaining Knight Breathing Methods were all cream of the crop that he had carefully sieved through!
Each one was unique, with at least fifty percent of the effects not overlapping with other Breathing Skills; to lose one was to lose some of those effects.
After considering for a moment, Colin decided to keep it that way, just the sixty-nine Knight Breathing Methods.
He planned to cultivate all of them and then merge them using Golden Paper Limit Breaking!
This process might take years, or perhaps a decade, but the end result would surely not disappoint him!
Colin exhaled lightly; just thinking about it, his heart had already begun to look forward to what the final Knight Breathing Methods would look like!
The next day, early morning.
Having reported for leave at the White Tower, a few hours later, Colin arrived in Neustadt City.
As usual, he went to the Copper Rose district to sell the Zeroth Rank Witchcraft he had accumulated over the past month, then, after catching up with his mentor and senior sister, Colin finally arrived at Darren's Commission.
The Magic Stones he got in exchange for selling Zeroth Rank Witchcraft were gradually unable to keep up with his current consumption.
Although he still had five hundred thousand Magic Stones in hand, they probably wouldn't last very long; not to mention that breaking through First Rank Witchcraft now cost upwards of ten thousand, even tens of thousands of Magic Stones, let alone the Magic Stones needed for breaking the limits of those sixty-nine Knight Breathing Methods.
However, upon arriving at Darren's Commission, Colin hadn't yet looked at the tasks when he saw a familiar figure.
He raised his eyebrows, walking forward with a slight surprise.
"Shelley... Ice Maiden, you're back?"
In front of him was a Witch wearing thick glasses, with gray-brown hair and a sharp demeanor—Colin recognized her as Shelley in disguise.
Shelley turned around, her expression also one of surprise, then she paused and asked, "Did you not go to the True Knowledge Society because of the management regulations?"
With the implementation of the Knowledge Research Management Regulations, the True Knowledge Society Castle had basically no Witches conducting Witchcraft research there on a regular basis.
Shelley thought Colin was the same.
"That's not it," Colin shook his head and explained, "I left Neustadt because of the compulsory tasks of the School."
Shelley gently nodded.
Colin looked at Shelley; it had almost been half a year since they last met, and suddenly, he wasn't quite sure what to talk about.
He wanted to ask Shelley why she had returned so late, but the current location didn't seem appropriate.
"After you pick up your task, let's go to the True Knowledge Society. I just happen to have a few questions I'd like to discuss with you."
