The Bizarre Wizarding World

Chapter 388 Alec

The cave entrance was an elongated rhombus in shape, unremarkable and inconspicuous. Its position was even on the edge of the entire cave area.

Onions had some doubts.

Colin didn't explain but instead quickly proceeded with Onions, with the Frost Shadow scouting the way, which made his journey quite carefree and bold.

Onions observed carefully, the dark and winding corridor in front of him seemed no different from other caves.

Meanwhile, Colin was keenly feeling for the location of the Ice Element, simultaneously receiving real-time updates about the surroundings from it.

Unsure of what he heard, Colin's expression would occasionally change, causing Onions, who was at his side, to almost ask several times, but in the end, he restrained himself.

After turning a few corners, Colin suddenly stopped in front of a seemingly ordinary stone wall.

Just as Onions was utterly confused, he heard Colin suddenly ask,

"The Martina you spoke of, does she have short brown hair, not so tall, and a bit on the slender side?"

"Great Knight Colin, how do you know..." Onions exclaimed, surprised.

Colin sighed softly, about to reassure Onions and prepare him mentally, when suddenly, his hair stood on end, and he turned his gaze toward the gray-black wall in front of him.

A sense of danger was rapidly approaching!

In the nick of time, Colin grabbed Onions and retreated backward at speed.

Boom!!

The next moment, that ordinary gray-black stone wall suddenly burst apart under some attack.

Debris flew and dust rose, and in the next moment, a huge purple-black column burst through the dust toward them.

Amidst the splattering rubble, Onions's pupils suddenly constricted.

'No, this isn't some column... it's clearly an arm, so enormous it's unimaginable!'

Colin, even though he had heard the Frost Shadow's description, was still smacking his lips in shock upon seeing it with his own eyes.

The diameter of the purple-black limb was at least a meter at its thinnest point, and apart from being enormous, it was also unusually plump, with joints and the shape of a wrist vaguely discernible through the layers of fat.

"...What on earth is this?" Onions muttered absentmindedly.

Looking at the purple-black pattern on the arm that seemed somewhat familiar, a sense of fear suddenly arose in his heart, too fearful to think in detail.

Swoosh!

The purple-black limb missed with its first strike, readjusted its position, and attacked again!

This time its fingers spread out, seemingly attempting to capture Colin and Onions.

"Get to a safe place," Colin whispered to Onions before he met the purple-black palm head-on!

Bang!!

The next moment, the ferocious purple-black giant palm was sent flying back even faster, with splashes of purple blood falling to the ground and emitting a strange smell.

"Ah!" A hoarse scream came, sounding not like a human's but more like some strange animal's.

Onions watched this scene, filled with shock.

What shocked him was not that Colin easily neutralized the purple-black palm's attack but that Colin did not seem to use any flashy or bizarre witchcraft.

As far as Onions could tell, Colin had just clenched his fist and charged straight forward!

Yet, he directly beat back the purple-black limb, many times larger than himself, causing it to repeatedly retreat!

Sensing it was outmatched, the purple-black limb quickly withdrew deeper into the cave, while Colin leapt forward, continuing the victorious chase.

He hadn't really tried using only his physical body against an enemy before; this massive purple-black sandbag looked powerful, but in reality, it had only just touched the edge of the First Rank, merely a showpiece.

The giant limb and Colin's figure gradually disappeared behind the stone wall.

Onions hesitated for a moment before stepping out from his hiding corner and walking towards the stone wall shattered by the giant arm.

As he got closer, he realized that the seemingly natural stone wall was actually artificially added to conceal the cavern in front of him.

In some places, the traces of human activity were clear.

Stepping over the scattered rubble and avoiding the strange-smelling purple blood, Onions entered the cavern.

Then, he suddenly froze in place.

As if struck by a heavy hammer, Onions felt his head spin with dizziness.

The scene inside the cavern was like the most absurd painting, causing him to stiffen involuntarily.

Before him was a sunken cave basin, immense and eerily deep, completely circular as if it were a bathtub.

And at this moment, Onions was standing at the high edge of this "bathtub."

In his line of sight, there were two mountains.

One was the purple-black flesh mountain fighting against Colin, its layered flesh waves barely revealing a humanoid shape, about fifteen meters tall.

Clearly, this was the owner of the purple-black giant arm.

The other was somewhat shorter.

It was a bone mountain made up of countless bleached-white skeletons.

Among them, there were the bones of cows and sheep, bones of unidentifiable monsters, but most were human bones.

For some reason, Onions suddenly felt nauseous and leaned against the cave wall to slowly sit down.

He caught his breath for a moment before looking down further.

Below the ghostly white bone mountain, there were iron cages about two meters square in size, roughly a dozen or so.

At this moment, half of them were empty, while the other half contained individuals who were barely clinging to life.

Onions felt a sudden rise of hope in his heart, his gaze quickly scanning the occupied cages, and at last, in the third filthy iron cage, he found a familiar figure.

"Martina is still alive?!"

At that moment, he faintly heard some noise.

Onions looked in the direction of the sound.

At the foot of the opposite side of the bone mountain.

The once stern Elder Danis was now leading the remaining Great Knights of his family along with a dozen children, frantically shouting at the flesh mountain monster.

The children clearly had fear on their faces, some even beginning to cry.

Yet those Great Knights appeared utterly indifferent, as if controlled by some force, just continuously shouting with frenzy.

Listening to these shouts and looking at the clump of purple-black flesh,

Onions suddenly felt as if a hot current was rushing from his heart to his brain, making him slightly feverish as if he also wanted to join in the shouting.

However, in the next moment, Colin's calm voice reached from afar, like a bucket of cold water extinguishing the heat in his brain.

"If I'm not mistaken, I believe I should address you as—Alec Wood, right? The ancestor of the Wood Family."

Onions took several deep breaths, his back soaked with cold sweat.

He realized that, without knowing it, he had been influenced by some power emitted from the purple-black flesh mountain.

But soon, regaining clarity, Onions suddenly grasped the significance of Colin's words—

'That mass of flesh... is Alec Wood?'

'Ancestor Alec?!'

Struggling to his feet, Onions moved to get a closer look and peered down from his vantage point.
