"Now, Madrazo, please tell me. Should you get to live, as pitiful as you are? Or should I end your pathetic existence and save myself the trouble?"

The two armed guards immediately point their weapons at her, an action which is immediately reprimanded.

"Put your guns down! We don't want to start something we can't finish."

The guards look at each other in question, before following their orders.

"So you have gained some intelligence. I suppose that's what happens as you get older. Then again, Alzheimer's exists, so that only goes so far. "

Alexandra walks towards the woman in leopard print, the person in question having kept their arrogant look throughout the conversation.

"So, why did you think it was a good idea to not make a simple phone call to warn Madrazo? Are you so self-deluded that you believe nothing could happen to you?"

Alexandra inches ever so closer, intent on intimidating the woman.

"Are you so daft as to think you can't be touched? Life is unpredictable, and anomalies will always pop up eventually. I'm-"

The woman tries to speak over her, but Alexandra grabs her mouth.

"Now you're even trying to interrupt me? Arrogance and stupidity tread the same line, but you've somehow weaved them even further. Now they're tangled, a mess of a superiority complex, able to be straightened again but with no one untying the knots."

The guards look towards Madrazo, looking for permission to brandish their firearms, but with a worried look on his face shook his head. Alexandra, letting go of the woman's mouth, walks back towards Franklin and Michael.

"Your mistress needs discipline, Martin. One day she'll get into trouble that nobody's able to stop, and it'll already be too late for you to regret not putting a fucking leash on her. All she does is bark and bite, and you know what happens to dogs that can't be controlled."

"Now, enough of my fearmongering. About the earlier incident, we will get the money for you to repair the house. How we obtain will be none of your business. Once the money has been acquired, your debt will be paid, and life will go on its way. No need to meet again. Now leave. We'll contact you when the debt is ready to be settled."

Madrazo looks at her, before eventually walking back to the back seat of his SUV, guards opening the door for him and the woman before entering the front seats. They finally leave the area, Franklin and Michael heaving a sigh of relief. The latter looks at Alexandra in exhaustion.

"What the fuck was that all about?"

"A life in which I no longer live. Or at least I didn't, until being pulled back head first."

Alexandra once again pulls out her flask, but as she goes to drink it she finds no bitter release waiting for her. She clicks her tongue in anger, putting the flask away.

"Now, Michael, we're gonna need to make a lot of money. I know you've got contacts. Get in touch with them. Make sure they're good to go. Franklin, drive me back to Strawberry. We're gonna need to get some equipment. Let's go."

"Alexandra."

The person in question looks at Michael.

"Thank you. My family could've been in danger. I probably could've handled them, but the sentiment is still appreciated."

Alexandra stiffly smiles, before returning to a neutral face and walking towards Franklin's car. Entering the passenger seat, she waits for Franklin, who is most likely talking to Michael.

So, you're more than just a normal gang member, huh? Or at least you were.

"Unfortunately, yes. Took a lot out of my childhood, but I was trained to be more than another bit of crust at the bottom of the barrel. A messenger, to be more specific."

And what exactly is that?

"Exactly what it sounds like. If someone needed a very... 'particular' message to be sent to someone, then I was the unfortunate human that person would see. You could probably guess exactly what type of messages these were."

Hmm...

Hearing footsteps approaching, Alexandra stops her conversation, and Franklin sits down in the front seat. He looks over towards Alexandra in question, but before he can ask anything, she speaks.

"I'm guessing you understood that conversation, so now you have questions, but I can't answer them now. Not when we have work to do. Now, you know where I want you to take us. I'll be giving you a little 'gift'. I'll show you were it is in Strawberry. Now, let's get to it."

Franklin says nothing, starting the engine

Eventually reaching the parking lot in which her vehicles are stored, Alexandra has Franklin pull into one of the blurred parking spaces. Getting out of the car, she goes to the back of hers and opens both the visible and hidden trunks, showing the stockpile of weapons stacked indiscriminately.

"Damn. Where'd you get all this?"

"Looting and scavenging. Now take your pick. We're gonna need firepower for whatever we end up doing. Knowing Michael's past life, it'll probably end up being a heist of some kind" Alexandra speaks, grabbing an over-under double barrel with a pistol grip and its barrel sawed off to the point where it could fit in her raggedy jacket.

Seeing this, Franklin looks down at the variety of weapons, before choosing a mini uzi, simple and efficient.

"Consider this repayment for the bike" she says, strapping a bandolier to her chest and hiding it with her jacket.

"Shit, thanks."

"It was a debt that had to be paid. Now, take as much ammo as you need. There should be a decent amount. I'll be going now. See you later, Franklin."

"Yeah, see you."

Alexandra exits the parking lot and starts heading towards the Vanilla Unicorn, intent on drinking after the tense reunion.
