Raizen sat in the academy's outdoor training yard, idly rolling a small metal sphere between his fingers. His mind raced with possibilities. Leon's offer was tempting, but was it the right move?

He exhaled, eyes scanning the nearby students. Whispers still followed him, his reputation continuing to shift from unknown commoner to a rising force. His actions had drawn attention from all sides, and now he had to decide which direction to take.

Raizen shrugged. "Haven't decided yet."

Ayaka sat beside him, resting her elbows on her knees. "Leon plays a long game. Aligning with House Veyron will make things easier in the short run, but you'll be playing by their rules before you know it."

"You're suggesting I refuse?"

She tilted her head. "I'm suggesting you be careful who you let pull your strings."

Raizen considered her words. Ayaka, unlike Leon, had no noble family behind her—she had fought her way to power, just like he was doing now.

"I need resources," Raizen admitted. "And I need stronger techniques if I want to keep up."

Ayaka leaned closer. "There are other ways. Ways that don't involve being someone's pawn."

Raizen smirked back. "No promises."

As she walked away, he looked back at the system's interface. Two paths, two futures.
