In the third round, the city lord decided to check the character of both participants of the duel. Charecter was not something that could be judged objectively. Bias would always play an important role in judging someone's charecter.

But the family of the city lord had managed to come up with a way that most of the people had judged to be a good way to complete this round. And that way was for participants to go through a special interview where they needed to answer questions regarding how they were going to tackle various situations given by the interviewers.

A total of seven situations were given to both Katla and Norman. All the situations were related to the clothing business that they were involved in. So this test should be easy for both of them as they were already very experienced in this.

In all the situation, for one reason or another, their business was going downhill. Various solutions were given to them and they needed to chose one. For example, in one of the scenario, getting rid of a vast number of workers was an easy way to solve the problem. But that would make many of their loyal workers jobless. So what kind of decision would the participants make in a situation like that. That was getting tested in this round.

The whole process did not took much time and both of them were done in less than 2 hours. Then all the present nobles and large businessmen started to check their answers.

Norman looked incredibly happy after finishing this round. From his conversation with Gustos, Rein heard that Norman had managed to solve all the crisis presented in the test with his brave decision making. So he was quite confident in winning this round.

In Norman's mind, the combat round was already in his pocket with his friend Gustos' help. So he just needed to win a single round. As this round went extremely well for him, Norman was really looking forward to the results this time.

On the other hand, after coming out of the test room, Katla looked to be in deep thought. So no one was able to guess how her test went.

The judges took their time to go through all the answers carefully. This was a very important duel with a huge amount of value on the line. So they were extremely careful with their judgement.

After about 2 hours, finally the judges were done discussing the result between themselves and declared it. To the utter surprise of the crowd, Norman was declared as the winner.

Hearing this Norman started celebrating as if he has won the whole duel and started to plan what kind of punishment would he give to his daughter. But as to put out his fire, the city lord started to declare the details of the round.

It turned out that the main reason why Norman won was because Katla had refused to choose any of the given options for two of the situations. For that reason she had not been given any score for those situations and had fell behind Norman in terms of score in charecter judging round.

As for what choices she was given, for one of the question, she was given the choice to choose between three of her employees who had to take false charges for the company's sake. Katla refused to answer that question and had told the interviewer that in a situation like that, she herself would take the blame.

As for what Norman's answer was to this question. He had randomly chosen one of the employees. According to him, this was the easiest decision of his life. This was actually not a bad answer and he had managed to solve the problem with it.

As for the second scenario, there Katla needed to sacrifice her father's life to gain an insane profit. Katla had refused it and thus she was failed. Norman was also given a chance to earn a lot by sacrificing his daughter and he had gladly taken the chance.

Actually the city lord was so sure that both father and the daughter would choose the option to sacrifice each other that he had given any second option. So he was actually the main reason for Katla's failure. It was his mistake to think Katla would be as selfish as himself and Norman.

The people who were supporting Katla were feeling a bit sad that Katla was not able to clean sweep Norman. But after listening to the details, they were more proud than ever of the person they had chosen to support.

So even though Katla had lost in this round, she had managed to win the heart of her subordinates again with her decisions. So overall this was a victory in her eyes. Actually the only reason why Katla was brave enough to forfeit this round was because she had full confidence in winning with Rein on her side. So she took this opportunity to strengthen the trust of her subordinates.

While Katla was getting happy about the results, Norman was getting even happier as he was convinced of his victory. So when the next round started, Norman was completely relaxed. He had already won the whole thing in his mind so he did not care about anything at all. The fourth round was testing their intelligence and Norman had zero chance of winning this.

This round was also a test but it tested mostly knowledge. Not only theoretical knowledge but also practical and general knowledge. The city lord had also asked both of the about various matters happening with the city as staying informed was a big deal for businessmen.

Katla easily won the round and no one had any suspense about this round at all. Then finally it was time for the most exciting final round to begin which was the combat round.
