Chapter 164: [Shopping!]
Wiping my lips with the handkerchief, I then looked at Amber who was half finished with food as well. The others didn't have much appetite as they kept their silence, unable to determine what to ask and what not to.
I looked outside the window, and saw that it was almost dawn. From what I have known Elliot's father shouldn't be able to come out in the sun as he will be burned to death by it. And I pondered over it for a brief moment before creating an item out of my energy.
[Ring of Grace

"Here," I then gave that ring to Elliot's father, Elte. He saw that ring with a confused expression before I spoke,
"Wear it. With this, you should be able to walk in the sun without any problems."
"…"
"…"
"…"
"…"
A silence covered the entire area once again, as everyone kept observing that ring as if it were the most precious thing in this world right now. Well, in a way, it could be.
Amber had taken the last bite out of her chocolate cake, so I sat up before turning to Elliot as I spoke," your clothes are a bit too shabby. While I can make a few… I think it won't hurt to go shopping to kill time. Sebastian, know any place nearby?"
I turned to Sebastian who was still looking at that ring with a serious look. If I wasn't here, he would have probably taken the ring for himself without anyone's consideration. But then again,
"I can create hundreds of such rings with a flick of my finger. Don't dwell on such small things… come with me, while the end of the world is almost here, I will let you in another piece of news for you."
And hearing my words, he slowly turned to me, still shocked that I could create more rings like this, but thankfully he was taking it all in much better than what I had expected.
"Another piece?" He asked and I nodded before answering,
"Don't you want to know what would happen after the apocalypse hits?"
"You mean Afterlife?" His eyes almost bulged out as he gulped on his own saliva. I paused for a few moments before answering,
"Not exactly but close. It's more like a second chance. How about I tell you what happened in my own world? Maybe that will help you out with your situation?"
Since he was being nice to me for so long, listening to all my requests, I didn't mind sharing a bit about the tutorial and stuff. It might be unfair compared to how we never got a chance like this, but then again it's my decision and I don't mind it at all.
His ears perked as he listened to my words. But before I begin the story,
"Let us go shopping first. I want to buy a couple of dresses for myself. Elliot. Amber. Let's get dozens of dresses for both of you as well."
I stood up signaling the others to follow behind me. While they were hesitant, they still stood up while Sebastian took a few hasty steps, reaching beside me as he asked,
"Mr. Crowley-"
"Drop the formalities, Sebastian. Just call me Crow. That's what all my acquaintances call me," I interrupted him, making him turn silent for a few seconds before continuing,
"Ummm… Crow, so what is a God like you doing here? Are you here to cause the apocalypse? And why our planet?"
"Were you even listening? I told you, I am here to witness the apocalypse, not cause it. There is a difference. Your planet is reaching its apocalypse for another reason. One that I don't know about," I spoke as I recalled all the information that I had.
"Another reason?" He asked before I began explaining to him about how every world is destined to die one way or another. Some by aliens, some by internal conflicts, etc. Nobody knows how the world will end until it actually happens.
As we moved outside the restaurant and then entered the car, we kept talking… or it was mostly me, answering about the world stuff to Sebastian. The others were already lost with all this information and decided to just observe us from behind. Elliot and Amber even dozed off in the middle.
The car drove through the city and reached a mall on the other side. It was a big mall that had a 24/7 sign written on it. It was heavily guarded with hundreds of guards all around it, in fact a bit overkill in my opinion. But still the presence of normal people around made me feel like this was normal and not just a precaution against us.
We entered the mall as our conversation reached the point of "what should we do to prevent the disaster?" But honestly, they can't do anything. The powers that destroy the world are too powerful for them to handle.
"So, no matter what you do or do not do, I don't think you can do much about this world," I finished my sentence as we reached in front of a ladies cloth shop.
Turning around to see Elliot and Amber, both of whom had glittery eyes. Elliot's father, who was still amazed by the effects of the ring, kept looking at it with a dazed expression. His eyes seemed teary as if he found his first love or something.
But the one who was most happy with all this was Elliot's mother, Reha. She seemed extremely joyful looking at her husband walking into the sun and her daughter going shopping.
I heard her praying a bit to some God who finally listened to her prayers and such, which made me feel odd but I guess it's not something I really cared about so it didn't bother me. In fact, looking at those children's smiles was enough to make me feel that it was all worth it.
I paused a bit before asking with a smile,
"Shall we find some nice dresses for you ladies then?"
