Chapter 29: Episode 29

Chapter 29: The White Ram Sage Form

Roshi wiped the swear from the corner of his face , his eyes narrowing at Quagmire, who stood unscathed amidst the destruction. His attack had been powerful—capable of leveling a mountain if fully unleashed—yet Quagmire remained untouched. Roshi clicked his tongue, frustration flickering across his face.

"That took no damage?" he muttered under his breath.

Quagmire exhaled calmly, his half-lidded eyes sharpening as he reached for his scarf and tied it firmly around his head. Without another word, his Shen surged, the air growing heavy as a radiant aura pulsed from his body. The battlefield trembled beneath his feet as cracks spiderwebbed through the ground.

Then, he whispered:

"White Ram Sage Form."

A sudden shift in the atmosphere sent a ripple through the battlefield. The ground hummed with energy, and the pressure thickened as Quagmire's transformation took hold. His physique altered but remained human, adopting the presence of a celestial beast. Ethereal blue and silver markings stretched across his skin, glowing faintly as an ancient force resonated through him. His Shen burned brighter, illuminating the area with a soft yet intimidating glow.

From above, Huey leaned forward, his golden eyes gleaming with interest. "Now it gets interesting," he murmured, his usual playful tone replaced with something far more intrigued.

Draven watched, his gaze locked onto Quagmire's changing form. Something inside him stirred, a feeling he couldn't quite place.

Huey continued, "This isn't just any transformation, boy. The White Ram Sage Form is said to originate from an ancient celestial bloodline —a being that once served as a gatekeeper between realms. But do you know what's funny?" He let out a short, almost amused laugh. "No one has ever truly mastered it. Those who tried were either destroyed or lost to an unknown fate." He turned to Draven, grinning. "They say this power was sealed away, meant only to be used when the balance of the world was in danger." Huey's voice dipped lower, his expression darkening with intrigue. "And yet, here we are. Watching the second-ever user in existence."

Quagmire lifted his gaze, his transformation complete. His aura settled into a calm yet overwhelming presence. Then, in a voice filled with quiet authority, he uttered, "Beast King's Will."

The moment the words left his lips, Quagmire vanished.

Roshi barely had time to widen his eyes before—

BOOM!

A deafening explosion of air burst from where Quagmire had been standing, and before Roshi could react, Quagmire's presence flickered—right in front of Castle.

Castle barely had time to whisper, "He's too fast—"

Quagmire's fist shot forward.

Castle instinctively phased his body, allowing the punch to pass through him. But it didn't matter.

Even though the attack physically phased through, the sheer force of the blow sent a devastating shockwave through Castle's body.

THOOM!

Castle's body was hurled backward like a cannonball, spiraling through the air before slamming into the ground with a deafening impact. The earth caved beneath him, massive cracks forming as dust and debris shot up into the air.

Quagmire didn't wait. His head snapped toward Roshi.

The moment Roshi registered Castle being sent flying, Quagmire was already in front of him.

His afterimage still lingered in his previous position.

That's not possible—!

Before Roshi could even react, a fist came barreling toward his chest.

SHWOOOOOOSH!

At the last second, Castle phased back through the ground, grabbing onto Roshi's coat. He yanked him downward, attempting to phase them both away—

But Quagmire was too quick.

"Got you."

His fist connected.

KRA-KA-BOOOOOOM!

A massive shockwave erupted as both Roshi and Castle were blasted away. Their bodies spun through the air, colliding against the ruined pavement before skidding to a stop.

Roshi coughed, blood dripping from his lips. His ribs ached—he had dodged at the last moment, but the impact still rattled his insides.

Castle groaned, forcing himself upright. "Damn it…" He turned to Roshi. "How bad is it?"

Roshi exhaled sharply, his grip tightening over his chest. "I dodged… mostly. But I still took full damage."

Castle frowned. "Yeah. I noticed."

Above them, Huey watched the fight unfold, his amusement growing. He turned his gaze toward Draven.

"You'll be doing a little test today, boy."

Draven's fists clenched as his All Creation Eyes flickered.

Huey grinned, his sharp teeth glinting under the light.

"Let's see if those fancy eyes of yours can keep up."
