Chapter 133: Fragment Snatch Plan_2
"If it were up to me, I'd need a team like my guards here with dozens more, plus some tailors to slaughter and draw the blood from the bodies of the enemies along the way.
But we all know, the enemies are just normal creatures, much more despicable than us Blood Race."
Even Wolft couldn't fathom how the enemies managed it, and if he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it any further.
"I've already sent out several letters about the situation here, let's keep pursuing." The Third Princess said helplessly.
She must catch up and see what was going on with the enemies.
...
Giant Rock City.
Inside the Alchemy Laboratory.
Cynthia looked at the letter in her hand, which had just been delivered back by a bat not long ago.
It detailed the Third Princess's sightings along the way, and the unbelievable condition of the enemies.
"My child, how did you do it?" She folded the letter, leaned back in her chair, and pondered.
After speaking, she couldn't help but sigh: "You've been lying to your mother all along, such a naughty child. When I catch you, I'll open up your chest and see through all your secrets myself."
She crushed the letter in her hand.
Since learning about her son in the Blood Race's Royal Court a year ago, she had been obsessed.
A perfect creation slipped through her fingers, and she'd always thought of him as a failed product, deceiving her for over a decade right under her nose.
She hadn't even noticed it in the first three years, nor did she discover it.
She felt insulted, in her ability, her intelligence, and in the brief maternal instinct she once had.
The more she thought about it, the more impatient she became.
Her child was in this very country, even spending several days just a few kilometers away from her.
She couldn't wait any longer.
If she didn't find a way to capture him this time, there might not be a better opportunity afterward.
"No, I can't let him leave."
She made up her mind, slamming the table and standing up briskly.
Pacing back and forth, pondering.
"What does he need on this visit? That's right, the fragments of the Stone of Creation.
The fragment buried in his chest must have been used because of his will.
He's hidden in the Royal Court for so long, he must have already known about the Royal Court's technique to search for fragments, and he must even know about my laboratory here."
As she spoke, an idea slowly formed in her mind.
As the idea became clearer, she immediately sprang into action, a magic staff appearing in her hand, which she began to wave.
One by one, blood-colored bats were conjured and under her control flew out of the laboratory. These bats flew swiftly, tracing a bloody streak in the sky and disappearing quickly.
"Come, I've prepared a real treasure for you."
With that said, she went straight to the innermost part of her laboratory and retrieved a piece of the Stone of Creation from a chest layered with seals.
Her most precious Stone of Creation, a fragment.
This was a fragment she'd accumulated over a hundred years through various experiments.
Even as wasteful as she sometimes was, she had never used this fragment.
But now, she was going to use this fragment as bait.
Only real bait could lure her cunning son.
Since her son could hide in the Royal Court for such a long time, he should know how to use the Light Chasing Stone's tracking to determine if the bait is a fragment.
Wrapped in the fragment, a streak of blood-red light flew directly from the laboratory to the most magnificent castle in Giant Rock City.
And so, she brazenly placed it in the hand of a statue in the hall.
This statue was one of her creations, able to amplify the waves of the Stone of Creation.
Considered as one of the by-products of the Light Chasing Stone research.
It had no real use, placed here as a commemoration, but today it finally had its purpose.
...
Outside Giant Rock City.
In a secret cave on a hillside less than 5 kilometers away.
Kana and his companions were resting here.
Suddenly, Kana opened his eyes.
He took out the Light Chasing Stone he always carried with him from his pocket.
At the moment, the stone was glowing, and although the light didn't seem different from before, Kana immediately noticed the subtle differences.
"Is someone carrying a gemstone nearby?" Raelia immediately asked.
Kana looked at them and shook his head, "No, this kind of fluctuation is from a fragment, but this frequency of blinking... is very familiar."
Kana furrowed his brows in thought and then suddenly snapped to attention, "It's an amplifier, someone magnified the fragment's fluctuations with an amplifier."
But as soon as he said it, Kana couldn't comprehend it.
"Could it be an unexpected situation, or did someone take out the fragment?
It couldn't be my mother doing experiments, right?"
"Your mother?" Lurik looked at Kana with some surprise.
"You have a mother?" Raelia blurted out and then immediately realized her mistake and tried to explain.
Kana waved his hand dismissively, "I'm human, not born from a stone."
"Is Princess, Princess at Giant Rock City?" Alyris couldn't help but ask.
Kana glanced at Alyris and nodded, "Yes, actually my mother's alchemy laboratory is around Giant Rock City.
