The Game Merchant Who Started from the Ninja World

Chapter 27: Chapter 27: Mangekyō Sharingan (Trial Version)

Chapter 27: Mangekyō Sharingan (Trial Version)

A transparent panel popped up in front of Sasuke.

[Mangekyō Sharingan (Trial Version)]: Grants the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan for 3 minutes. Dojutsu unknown. Price: 1,000 reward points.

Note: 100,000 ryo = 1 reward point.

After reading the panel, Sasuke's expression shifted. "You're saying I can experience the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan?"

"Yes."

Fang Yi swept his gaze over the crowd, smiling warmly. "Not just the Mangekyō Sharingan. Any ninjutsu, ninja tool, or innate ability you can think of—can be tried using reward points."

"This is a new player benefit. Once you leave the trial grounds, you won't get another chance like this."

This was exactly Fang Yi's goal.

The True Rune had been expensive to create, and now it was time to recoup the investment. All powers simulated by the game tower were virtual, costing him nothing to activate.

But whether out of curiosity about the game's authenticity or a desire for power, many players—under his subtle influence—would choose to try a trial version.

No cost to him. Pure profit.

Thinking of the look the silver-haired loli gave him earlier, like she was staring at a con artist, Fang Yi couldn't help but scoff.

What would a world consciousness know? She spends all day eating fried chicken. Her mental age isn't even ten. She could never understand my burden.

Everything was for the sake of fighting the Corruption.

Another option appeared on Sasuke's interface.

[Mangekyō Sharingan]: Price – 120,000 reward points

Type: Bloodline

Effect 1: +50 Visual Perception, +50 Energy Sensory, +50 Spirit

Effect 2: Awaken 1–2 purple-tier skills (type determined by user's innate potential)

Effect 3: Sacrifice permanent eye power to activate Susanoo (Purple-tier skill)

Note: An advanced form of the Sharingan, awakened through intense negative emotion.

Fang Yi couldn't help but marvel, "No wonder so many transmigrators want to be born into the Uchiha clan. The Mangekyō Sharingan really is powerful."

The Uchiha bloodline was weak in its early stages, but once the Mangekyō was awakened, it granted a highly compatible random purple-tier skill, plus the powerful Susanoo.

If not for the side effect of blindness due to eye strain, it would be even more expensive.

Sasuke hesitated. "How do I exchange reward points?"

Seeing the bait had taken, Fang Yi explained, "Just think about it. Mentally say the command. For ninjutsu and bloodline abilities, you won't lose them after purchase. As for money, the system will verify if you're the legal owner—you don't have to carry it physically."

Teaching players how to spend money—an obligatory service.

Even if it was the same bloodline or jutsu, and even if many low-tier jutsu were dime a dozen, Fang Yi could still generate them at will.

What was valuable was the Origin they contained.

In a way, every chakra-capable ninja was favored by the world's consciousness. The more they trained their ninjutsu or bloodline, the more Origin those abilities held.

Every world had different items that stored Origin.

Fang Yi had even heard the silver-haired loli talk about some bizarre ones—like worlds where tennis balls or basketballs held Origin.

The better you played tennis, the stronger you got—so much so that a swing of a racket could cause a mass extinction event.

"Exchange 1,000 reward points."

Sasuke gave the command mentally.

Instantly—

deep in the Uchiha clan's ancestral hall beneath Naka Shrine, several chests of wealth vanished.

Though the clan had been wiped out and most of their property seized, some remnants were left behind.

The village had focused on collecting secret technique scrolls, digging up every last jutsu the Uchiha had. That was why Sasuke had only the Fireball Technique when he graduated.

The cash? Sloppily collected. Much of the scattered wealth was left untouched.

The system automatically counted this as Sasuke's inheritance—fully available to him.

Ten million ryo.

Just to try the Mangekyō Sharingan.

Was it worth it?

To Fang Yi—no.

But to Sasuke, it was a priceless deal. It was tied to the obsession rooted in his heart ever since the night of the massacre.

The power Itachi spoke of—

even if the price were ten times higher, Sasuke would've paid it without question.

It was just like Earth gamers willing to spend hundreds on a rare skin worth pennies.

That's obsession.

"As you wish."

Fang Yi smiled, flicked his hand, and the Mangekyō Sharingan in his palm vanished.

Sasuke suddenly felt his eyes burn. He clutched his face instinctively.

All around, the other players took a step back.

They hadn't trusted the interface that had appeared. Now, all eyes were on Sasuke—the guinea pig.

BOOM—

A wave of chakra infused with violent emotion exploded from Sasuke.

The chakra was so thick it took on physical form—purple and writhing like muscle and flesh.

Two seconds later—

a massive figure encased in chakra armor emerged. A giant, like something from legend, eyes glowing a dull amber.

Its gaze sent chills down everyone's spines.

"The Mangekyō is awakened by intense negative emotions. Even the chakra avatar it manifests carries that rage. No wonder it's feared and hated."

At the center of the game tower, Fang Yi's own energy form loomed.

But unlike Susanoo, it gave off no pressure.

That was because his energy form was fully condensed, with zero leakage—dozens of times stronger than Susanoo.

Susanoo could be shattered by Tsunade's punches.

If she tried punching Fang Yi's energy form, the recoil alone would turn her into dust.

There was another reason—

Chakra had been created by Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki in hopes of fostering understanding among humans. It was a spiritual energy meant for connection.

Like how members of the Uzumaki Clan could sense individual chakra signatures—because chakra carried emotion.

The Uchiha, shaped by tragedy and loss, had chakra steeped in rage and chaos.

That was why the Second Hokage labeled them "the cursed clan."

"This is… the power of the Mangekyō?"

Standing in the brow of his Susanoo, Sasuke felt the raw, surging power and couldn't believe it was real.

He wasn't alone.

Most ninjas present had never seen anything like it.

They couldn't fathom that a human could unleash something so terrifying.

The crow-armored giant drew a bow and loosed an arrow engulfed in black flames.

But before it could strike its target—it vanished.

Fang Yi, a bit apologetic, said, "I don't mean to interrupt, but I must protect the other players."

"If that arrow had hit, it could have leveled a mountain."

Everyone stared, dumbfounded.

A technique that could destroy a mountain?

Even the Tsuchikage's Dust Release couldn't manage that.

And what was even scarier—

the mysterious merchant had erased the attack with ease.

All the players who had hesitated now turned toward their own interface panels.

The sound of nervous swallowing filled the air.

One by one, they began selecting trial abilities to test.

Even Konan—who had maintained her doubt the whole time—couldn't resist.

She slowly reached out with a pale, slender finger and touched the panel.
